There was one noteworthy item coming from it-Takao Soma is leaving the promotion at the end of September, which was his decision in part to try things outside of wrestling. He will continue his career as a freelancer and will also step down as manager of the Dropkick sports bar.
Soma debuted in DDT in August 2009 and is a 3-time KO-D Tag Team Champion and 8-time KO-D 6-Man Tag Team Champion. His last DDT event will be 9/27 at Shinjuku Face. He didn’t say much about his outside wrestling plans except “I have some thoughts on it, but it’s something I want to say after it happens.”
