DDT wraps up July today with their monthly Tokyo signature event. This is the last such event before WRESTLE PETER PAN, the promotion’s biggest annual event, coming up in just under 3 weeks. Today’s event has 2 title matches scheduled-first is a KO-D Tag Team Championship match with Chris Brookes & HARASHIMA defending the titles against Takeshi Masada & Yuya Koroku, then it’s a DDT Extreme Championship match with Hideki Okatani defending the title against Yuki Ishida. The stip, as chosen by the challenger, is that if Ishida loses the match and thus doesn’t win the title, he loses his hair. The main event is a WRESTLE PETER PAN planned main event preview of Yuki Ueno & Shunma Katsumata vs. MAO & KANON. However, with the two “Money In The Bank” title shot rights for the KO-D Openweight Championship out there that must be used in the next 2 months, there’s no guarantee Ueno will make it to his August title defense against MAO as champion. Or even out of today. But there’s also a right to challenge for one of the rights too so one of said rights holders may have to defend that too. The current title shot rights holders are Katsumata & Viento Levante, while the right to challenge for rights holder is Rukiya. Katsumata having the rights for now means Ueno had better watch his back today in the main event…
Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese. Miyuki Suzuki, a Japanese comedian and member of comedy group Nagon, will be a special guest on commentary. There is a pre-show match scheduled before the event so, taking that into account, this will be slightly longer than a normal Korakuen event with a probably running time of just under 3 hours.

Updates below will begin at 7 PM PT/10 PM ET. The pre-show match is scheduled to begin at 7:10 PM PT/10:10 PM ET. The main show will begin at 7:30 PM PT/10:30 PM ET.
*-If Yoshimura/Yuni/Rukiya lose and Rukiya is the one beaten for the loss, whoever pinned/submitted Rukiya wins the right to challenge for the title shot rights from Rukiya.
**-If Naya/Levante lose and Levante is the one beaten for the loss, whoever pinned/submitted Levante wins the right to challenge from Levante
***-if Ueno/Katsumata lose BEFORE Katsumata cashes in his title shot right IF HE DOES and if Katsumata is the one beaten for the loss, whoever pinned/submitted Katsumata wins the right to challenge from Katsumata. Whoever holds either right can cash it in for a KO-D Openweight Championship match against Ueno anytime, anywhere. So until both happen or the time limit to use them passes, “card subject to change” cannot be over-emphasized. It could even mean impromptu matches after the main event.
