Ganbare Pro 1/6/24 Results (Updated)

Ganbare Pro ran their first house show of the year following their year-opening major event today, but still a mid-major with a title match main event.

Today’s event was held at 176BOX in Osaka and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 147.

There was a last-minute change to the first match due to Munetatsu Nakamura being pulled off the event. Potential fever. Yuni (DDT) was the replacement.

Match 1: Keisuke Ishii & Shota beat Yuni & Illusion (DDT). Ishii pinned Illusion after a double-handed driver.

Match 2: Momoka Hanazono beat Riara.

Match 3: Bunny Oikawa & YuuRI beat HARUKAZE & Yoshiko Hasegawa. YuuRI pinned Hasegawa.

Match 4: Tsuyoshi Okada beat Shinichiro Tominaga.

Match 5: Yumehito Imanari & Tyson Maeguchi beat Takao Soma & Mizuki Watase. Maeguchi pinned Watase after I’ll Be Happy To Help You (tentative).

Main Event: Spirit Of Ganbare World Tag Team Champions Shuichiro Katsumura & Takuya Wada beat HARASHIMA (DDT) & Ken Ohka to retain the titles. Wada pinned Ohka after Twister. V4 for the champs. Since no potential challengers came out post-match, Wada instead made a potential challenge to Katsumura for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Championship. UPDATE: It’s now official. That match will happen on 2/23.

The next event is 2/23. at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama. Broadcast plans TBA.
The next 2 scheduled events are Ganbare Women events, with the first one being on 1/116 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.
