GLEAT 3/8/2026 Results

GLEAT ran a Lidet UWF event today, the 8th event in their sub-brand series featuring their spin on the 1980s UWF promotion that’s closer to shootfighting than wrestling (primarily in that there are no pinfalls and a point-based system is also used).

Today’s event was held at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo and should be available on demand on YouTube at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 128.

Match 1: Double Bout: Shinya Aoki & Tyson Maeguchi vs. Yukimitsu Takahashi & Kentaro Hachisu went to a 20 minute time limit draw.

Match 2: SIngle Bout: Sakura Mizushima beat Nana Matsubashi by submission.

Match 3: Single Bout: Naoya Nomura beat Ryuji Hijikata by ref stoppage (technical submission).

Match 4: Double Bout: Marino Saihara & Riko Fukuknaga beat Yukina Uehara & Chii Aoba. Fukunaga beat Aoba with STF.

Match 5: In a GLEAT MMA Jiu-jitsu wearing-gi fight with 5 1-minute rounds, T-Hawk vs. Kabuto Mitomi went to a time limit draw.

Match 6: Single Bout: Takanori Ito beat Tetsuya izuchi by TKO. As a result, Ito gets the next Lidet UWF Championship shot against the winner of the main event.

Main Event: Single Bout: Soma Watanabe beat Lidet UWF Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima by ref stoppage (technical submission) to win the title. Watanabe becomes the 4th Lidet UWF Champion. Miracle comeback win because he was down 5-1 on points and one from losing. The long nightmare for GLEAT with Nakajima hinting at sealing the title and doing away with it is finally over. This means Watanabe’s first defense will be against Ito.

The next event is Thursday at Shinjuku Face for G PROWRESTLING. Broadcast plans TBA.
