New Japan 11/2/24 Results

New Japan wrapped up the Super Junior Tag League today with the final day of Block B, a scenario where all 6 teams were tied for the lead but only one could advance.

Today’s event was held at Nagoya International Conference Center Event Hall in Nagoya and can be watched on demand on New Japan World.

The announced paid attendance was 1290.

Match 1: Yasutora Yasuda & Shoma Kato beat Daiki Nagai & Katsuya Murashima. Kato pinned Nagai.

Match 2: Tomoaki Honma, Capitan Suicida & Tiger Mask beat Gedo, Drilla Moloney & Clark Connors. Honma pinned Gedo after Kokeshi.

Match 3: Dragon Dia, Ryusuke Taguchi, Boltin Oleg, Toru Yano & Hiroshi Tanahashi beat Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Sho, Ren Narita, Yujiro Takahashi & EVIL. Yano pinned Takahashi.

Match 4: Taichi, DOUKI & SANADA beat Jado, Master Wato & Shota Umino. Taichi pinned Jado after Tensho Cross Fang.

Match 5: Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles, Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr. beat BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Tetsuya Naito & Shingo Takagi. Oiwa pinned BUSHI after The Grip.

Super Junior Tag League Block B:
Match 6: Robbie X & Taiji Ishimori beat Paris de Silva & Jude London. Ishimori pinned de Silva after a 450 splash.
Match 7: Francesco Akira & TJP beat Ninja Mack & The DKC. TJP pinned Mack after 2/2.
Main Event: Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA beat Rocky Romero & Yoh. Knight pinned Romero after Perfect Timing. As a result, because of tiebreakers, Akira/TJP win Block B and advance to the Finals. They beat both X/Ishimori and Knight/KUSHIDA and that was the difference in the 3-way tie.

The Finals will be Akira/TJP vs. Fujita/Eagles for an IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship match against Knight/KUSHIDA in the near future, possibly at Tokyo Dome.

The next event is POWER STRUGGLE, the last blowout event of the year including the Finals, Monday at Osaka Prefectural Gym in Osaka. Live streaming on New Japan World OUTSIDE JAPAN ONLY will begin Sunday at 10 PM PT/1 AM ET (remember the time change!). This will be an exclusive live TV Asahi broadcast in Japan. We now know 7 of the scheduled matches with 1-2 more planned and TBA. Because of the time change and my work schedule letting me work from home on Mondays, I will try to do live results.
