CMLL FANTASTICAMANIA 2026, New Japan’s annual crossover series with the CMLL promotion in Mexico, kicked off today in Tokyo. This year’s week-plus series also began with the traditional tag team tournament with 8 teams for a single-elimination bracket format event.
Today’s event was held at Yoyogi National Stadium Gym 2 in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on New Japan World.
The announced paid attendance was 2022.
There were last-second changes to the event due to Yota Tsuji & Taiji Ishimori being pulled off the card. Tsuji-unspecified reasons ishimori-travel issues
Match 1: FANTASTICAMANIA Tournament: Valiente Jr. & Futuro beat Shoma Kato & Hiji de Stuka Jr. Futuro pinned Kato after Salto de Tiempo.
Match 2: Hechicero beat Zane Jay.
Match 3: FANTASTICAMANIA Tournament: Magnus & Averno beat Tiger Mask & Stigma. Magnus pinned TM 4.
Match 4: FANTASTICAMANIA Tournament: Atlantis & Atlantis Jr. beat OKUMURA & Satoshi Kojima. Atlantis Jr. pinned OKUMURA after a frog splash.
Match 5: Daiki Nagai, Bone Soldier Jr., Phillip Marlowe Jr. & Titan beat Masatora Yasuda, Master Wato, Ryusuke Taguchi & El Desperado. Titan pinned Yasuda after La Lanza.
Match 6: Templario vs. Soberani Jr. went to a 10 minute time limit draw.
Main Event: FANTASTICAMANIA Tournament: Mascara Dorada & Mistico beat Sho & Ultimo Guerrero. Mistico pinned Guerrero with La Mistica.
