Stardom began their June house show schedule today in Sendai.
Today’s event was held at Sendai Pit in Sendai and can be watched on demand on Stardom World. You can also watch the first 3 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.
The paid attendance was not announced. So not a sellout then.
Although not announced publicly, there is/was no Hazuki at this weekend’s events. Continued US participation in All Elite Wrestling.
Match 1: Maki Itoh, Kikyo Furusawa & Rian beat Ami Sohrei, Hina & Tomoka Inaba. Rian pinned Hina.
Match 2: Maika & HANAKO beat Starlight Kid & AZM, Koguyma & Waka Tsukiyama and Saya kamitani & Rina in a 4-way when HANAKO pinned Tsukiyama.
Match 3: Natsupoi, Yuna Mizumori & Aya Sakura beat Syuri, lady C & Ranna Yagami. Sakura pinned C.
Match 4: Miyu Amasaki beat Ema Maishima.
Match 5: Natsuko Tora, Konami, Ruaka & Azusa Inaba beat Hanan, Saya Iida, Matoi Hamabe & Utami Hayashishita. Ruaka pinned Hayashishita with a Dharma-style German suplex hold. That’s significant for Ruaka. Yes, Hayashishita is basically starting over in Stardom after leaving a couple years ago but she is still considered one of the top wrestlers in Japan right now. And while an 8-woman tag match it still has to be one of the biggest wins yet for the young Ruaka in her career.
Main Event: Sayaka Kurara, Saori Anou & Anne Kanaya beat Suzu Suzuki, Akira Kurogame & Xena. Kurara pinned Kurogame after Tokimeki Spear.
The next event is tomorrow at Light Cube Utsunomiya in Tochigi. Live streaming on Stardom World will begin TONIGHT at 9 PM PT/midnight ET.
In other news, there were a few match announcements today for 6/14 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and the next PPV on 6/20:. For 6/14 the first announced match was Kurara vs. Kanaya in a NON-TITLE match. However, this could help Kanaya get into Cosmic Angels. Also announced for was Future Of Stardom Champion Ranna Yagami vs. Miku Kano for the title. Yagami chose Kano after an independent event the other day. 2 other title matches are also set for 6/14: Goddesses Of Stardom Champions AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Hazuki & Koguma for the titles (Hazuki should be back for that) and Artist Of Stardom Champions Ami Sohrei, Hina & Lady C vs. Natsupoi, Yuna Mizumori & AYa Sakura for the titles. For the Artist titles, the winners will defend on 6/20 vs. Maki Itoh, Kikyo Furusawa & Rian. It appears Rian has aligned herself with Itoh & Furusawa as of today.
Including above, 6/20 now has 4 title matches. The rest so far are IWGP Women’s Champion Syuri vs. Rina Yamashita for the title, Wonder Of Stardom Champion Hanan vs. Saya Iida for the title and World Of Stardom Champion Sayaka Kurara vs. Suzu Suzuki for the title. They haven’t said so yet outside of the Stardom World schedule but 6/20 will be a PPV.
