Maegashira 16-Kagayaki (5-10), Tsurugiho (8-7)
Maegashira 17-Daishoho (3-12)
Notes: All 3 Ozeki will be full fledged Ozeki as Kirishima got out of kadoban status with a winning record and Hoshoryu avoided it with his last day win, and Yakakeisho got clear by winning the championship and immediately jumped back into Yokozuna contention if he can win in November or perhaps be runner-up. All 3 Sekiwake protected their rank, but both Komusubi will be demoted. Hokutofuji should be Sanyaku for at least the second time in his career while Abi & Asanoyama could be back there too. Meisei will fall a couple ranks while Tamawashi has a big drop coming after an unusual for him 0-11 start, at least he managed 2 wins. Takayasu, Midorifuji and especially Atamifuji will make big moves up.
Everyone from M13 down with losing records is at risk of demotion to Juryo, with Chiyoshoma, Kagayaki and Daishoho definitely gping down. Hakuoho probably will go down as well due to being out after shoulder surgery (he is expected to miss November as well). Apiyama, Kotoshoho & Nishikifuji are all big toss-ups on where they will be ranked.

Juryo:
Juryo 1-Roga (8-7), Tamashoho (4-11)
Juryo 2-Kitanowaka (8-7), Daiamami (7-8)
Juryo 3-Tomokaze (11-4), Mitoryu (7-8)
Juryo 4-Oshoma (8-7), Tohakuryu (10-5)
Juryo 5-Churanoumi (10-5), Bushozan (9-6)
Juryo 6-Shimazuumi (9-6), Azumaryu (3-12)
Juryo 7-Wakatakakge (Absent, 0-0-15), Ichiyamamoto (13-2, Champion)
Juryo 8-Shishi (9-6), Chiyosakae (4-11)
Juryo 9-Takakento (6-9), Alua (6-9)
Juryo 10-Chiyomaru (8-7), Hakuyozan (4-11)
Juryo 11-Shiden (6-9), Tokihayte (8-7)
Juryo 12-Shimanoumi (7-9), Takahashi (8-7)
Juryo 13-Kiho (4-8-3), Asakoryu (7-8)
Juryo 14-Onosato (12-3), Tenshoho (8-7)
Notes: It came down to the last day but Roga will finally reach the top tier in November, the first rikishi from Russia to do so. Tomokaze should be a top tier return while Kitanowaka & Tohakuryu also have a chance at top tier debuts (Tohakuryu has better odds as he went 10-5 from J4 while Kitanowaka was 8-7 at J2). The championship and 13 wins also gives Ichiyamamoto a chance to move back up. Wakatakakage should be demoted to Makushita due to being absent (injury) but maybe not for long-he has a chance at being back in November. Hakuyozan may be demoted as well, along with newcomer Asakoryu. No second chance for Kiho as he’ll go back down this time as well.

From Makushita, Champion Hitoshi will be Shin-Juryo as he won from Ms3, one of 7 who finished 6-1 and in quite the playoff. Although a longshot from Ms6 at 5-2, performances above him give Takerufuji a chance to make it too. Yuma will be Sai-Juryo after one tournament down, as a 4-3 matk as Ms1 will promote him again and he should be joined by Hidenoumi, who went 5-2 from Ms2.

UPDATE: Hidenoumi will be Sai-Juryo for November along with Yuma while Hitoshi will be Shin-Juryo. Those were reported by Nikkan Sports and have been confirmed by the Nihon Sumo Kyokai.
