AEW Dynamite 10/12/22 Results (SPOILERS!)

Here are the quick results from tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Toronto, Canada (SPOILERS for west feed viewers!):

Shortly before the event, AEW signed Renee Paquette (the former Renee Young in WWE) and she was introduced first in her hometown. She did some backstage interviews.

Luchasaurus beat Jungle Boy.

Wardlow & Samoa Joe beat Nick Comoroto & QT Marshall. Joe beat Comoroto with Kokina Clutch. Squash.

Swerve Strickland beat Billy Gunn. Afterwards, Smart Mark Sterling claimed he trademarked “scissor me” so The Acclaimed can’t do it or say it anymore.

ROH World Champion Chris Jericho beat Bryan Danielson to retain the title. Daniel Garcia turned on Danielson to set up the victory and apparently remain solidly in JAS.

Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida beat Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker. Shida pinned Baker with a rollup after reversing a Baker rollup.

Orange Cassidy beat AEW All-Atlantic Champion Pac to become THE NEW AEW ALL-ATLANTIC CHAMPION!

Friday on Rampage: FTR & Shawn Spears vs. Gates Of Agony & Brian Cage, Nyla Rose vs. Anna Jay.A.S., Ethan Page vs. Isaiah Kassidy and Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli vs. The Butcher & The Blade. Rampage will be taped tomorrow.

Next week: Dynamite airs on Tuesday due to the MLB playoffs. AEW Interim Women’s Champion Toni Storm vs. HIkaru Shida for the title, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. Adam Page for the title, and of course MJF.

AEW Rampage & Battle Of The Belts 4 Results (10/7/22) (SPOILERS!)

Here are the quick results from tonight’s LIVE AEW Rampage and Battle Of The Belts 4 special from Washington, DC (SPOILERS for west coast viewers!):

Rampage:
Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta beat Rush & Private Party. Yuta beat Marq Quen with an armbar.

Tony Nese & Josh Woods beat Varsity Blonds. Nese pinned Griff Garrison. Squash.

Anna Jay.A.S. & Tay Melo beat Madison Rayne & Skye Blue. Anna beat Blue with Queenslayer.

AEW Trios Champions Death Triangle beat Dark Order to retain the titles. Pac pinned Alex Reynolds after a cheap shot using the timekeeper’s bell hammer which was given to him by Rush.

Battle Of The Belts 4:
AEW All-Atlantic Champion Pac beat Trent Beretta to retain the title. This started immediately after the Rampage main event (which had an almost 2 minute overrin) so Pac worked two consecutive matches covering about 40 minutes with zero rest.

AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill beat Willow Nightingale to retain the title. 39-0. 583 Days And Counting.

ROH World Tag Team Champions FTR beat Gates Of Agony to retain the titles. Dax Harwood pinned Kaun with a backslide.

Next week: AEW makes their Canada debut! Dynamite LIVE on Wednesday and Rampage will be TAPED on Thursday for a regular time airing on Friday, both in Toronto. Added to Dynamite: Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida vs. Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter and AEW All-Atlantic Champion Pac vs. Orange Cassidy (yet again) for the title.

In other news, just before Rampage went live AEW announced on Facebook that Jon Moxley has signed a 5-year contract extension with the promotion, which will see him mentoring and coaching as well as competing.

AEW Dynamite 10/5/22 Results (Updated)

Here are the quick results from tonight’s AEW Dynamite 3rd Anniversary episode from Washington, DC:
MJF beat Wheeler Yuta by submission. Excellent opener.

Darby Allin beat Jay Lethal.

AEW TNT Champion Wardlow beat Brian Cage to retain the title.

Toni Storm, Athena & Willow Nightingale beat Serena Deeb, Jamie Hayter & Penelope Ford. Nightingale pinned Ford after Doctor Bomb.

National Scissoring Day with The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn ultimately was a party crashed at the end by Swerve Strickland. Just skip this entire segment.

Adam Page beat Rush.

Luchasaurus beat Fuego Del Sol. Squash. Jungle Boy attacked with a chair after the match.

Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara beat Daniel Garcia & Bryan Danielson. Guevara pinned Garcia after a Jericho belt shot.

During the show, news broke that the Andrade El Idolo-10 Career vs. Mask Match on Friday’s Rampage is now off. Andrade reportedly was sent home after a backstage fight with Guevara that seemingly was building up on Twitter. Supposedly Guevara threw the first punch. And yet…So for now 10 keeps his mask, and now gets a title shot Friday instead…

Friday on a LIVE Rampage: Varsity Blonds vs. Tony Nese & Josh Woods, Madison Rayne & Skye Blue vs. Tay Melo & Anna Jay.A.S., Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Rush & Private Party and AEW Trios Champions Death Triangle vs. Dark Order for the titles.

After Rampage on the LIVE Battle Of The Belts 4 Special: AEW All-Atlantic Champion Pac vs. Trent Beretta for the title, AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill vs. Willow Nightingale for the title and ROH Tag Team Champions FTR vs. Gates Of Agony for the titles. I would maybe expect changes because now that’s two title matches for Pac in less than 2 hours.

Next week: O CANADA-AEW’s Canada debut in Toronto! Jungle Boy vs. Luchasaurus, Swerve Strickland vs. Billy Gunn and ROH World Champion Chris Jericho vs. Bryan Danielson for the title.

UPDATE: Regarding Andrade-Guevara, TMZ picked up the story and noted Andrade was the aggressor reportedly punched first and Guevara didn’t fight back, which is why he didn’t get sent home but Andrade did. Andrade reportedly wants out of AEW to possibly return to WWE (top WWE Women’s star Charlotte Flair is his wife) but has several years left on his contract. The question is whether he will be fired or suspended/paid to stay home.

Attendance was voluntary for talent due to Hurricane Ian making landfall in Florida (AEW’s homebase).

Jericho Appreciation Society Championship Ceremony opens. Daniel Garcia again hints at turning on JAS. That brought out Bryan Danielson. Which led to…
Bryan Danielson beat Matt Menard by submission.

MJF appearance. Wheeler Yuta interrupts. This sets up MJF-Yuta for next week.

AEW World Champion Jon Moxley beat Juice Robinson in a NON-TITLE match. Robinson would’ve earned a rematch for the title had he won.

Saraya promo. She calls out the Women’s Division, gets several of them and makes the Interim Women’s Title match a lumberjack match.

In a Lumberjack Match, AEW Interim Women’s Champion Toni Storm beat Serena Deeb to retain the title.

Ricky Starks beat Eli Isom. Squash.

ROH World Champion Chris Jericho beat Bandido to retain the title. Excellent match. Afterwards, Jericho vowed to destroy ROH and starts by laying out ROH ring announcer Bobby Cruise.

Friday on Rampage: John Silver vs. Rush, Willow Nightingale vs. Jamie Hayter, Lee Moriarty vs. Fuego Del Sol, Hook Appears and AEW Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed vs. Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland and Private Party in a 3-way for the titles. Matt Hardy may be in Private Party’s corner.

AEW Rampage 9/23/22 Results

Here are the quick results from last night’s TAPED AEW Rampage in New York City:
In a No DQ Match, Darby Allin & Sting beat Buddy Matthews & Brody King. Sting pinned Matthews after a Scorpion Deathdrop after The Great Muta (Keiji Muto) appeared and hit a dragon screw on Matthews followed by his signature green mist to the face. During all this, Julia Hart fell off the ring apron and poorly went through a table at ringside.

Hook & Action Bronson beat 2.0. Double submission. Bronson apparently had a stip in his contract where he would take no bumps.

Samoa Joe & Wardlow beat Tony Nese & Josh Woods. Joe pinned Nese after a Muscle Buster. Squash. Afterwards, Smart Mark Sterling took 3 powerbombs from Wardlow.

Jungle Boy beat Rey Fenix. Afterwards, Christian Cage came out (arm in a sling) and that set up Luchasaurus for a sneak attack and destroying Jungle Boy.

Sammy Guevara beat Eddie Kingston by DQ (reversal of original decision). Kingston had won by ref stoppage (technical submission) with a stretch plum but refused to release the hold afterwards, so Kingston was DQ’d.

AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill beat Diamante to retain the title. Squash. 38-0.

Adam Page won the Golden Ticket Battle Royal, last eliminating Rush. As a result, Page will face AEW World Champion Jon Moxley for the title on the 10/18 Dynamite (a Tuesday because of baseball playoffs on TBS). Unless MJF decides to cash in his Money In The Bank casino chip for a title shot before then.

In a Lights Out Match (unsanctioned, anything goes), Ricky Starks beat Powerhouse Hobbs.

No MJF cash-in despite the Dynamite main event teases.

Announced for Dynamite next week: Jericho Appreciation Society Championship Celebration and AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson (New Japan Pro Wrestling/Impact Wrestling) in a NON-TITLE match. It’s billed as a World Title Eliminator so Robinson may get a future title shot if he wins. Also, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Muto/Muta’s home promotion in Japan, has announced Sting for what will be Muta’s final event on 1/22/23 in Osaka, Japan. The Forbidden Door perhaps opens further! (It should be noted Muto/Muta & Sting do have a long history together, dating back to at least WCW in the 1990s)
