AEW Dynamite 11/1/23 Results (Updated)

Here are the quick results from tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Louisville, KY:

Match 1: AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy vs. Claudio Castagnoli for the title
Result: AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy beat Claudio Castagnoli to retain the title.

Jon Moxley promo. He wants Cassidy at Full Gear for the title.

Match 2: ROH 6-Man Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks & Adam Page vs. Gates Of Agony & Brian Cage for the titles
Result: Gates Of Agony & Brian Cage beat ROH 6-Man Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks & Adam Page to become THE NEW ROH 6-MAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Kaun pinned Matt Jackson. Late in the match, Swerve Strickland came out and taunted Page, luring him away from the match and into a backstage pull-apart brawl. Matt Jackson threw a major temper tantrum afterwards, taking a chair to the ring posts and more.

Adam Copeland interviewed. Christian Cage interrupts. A beatdown and save by Sting & Darby Allin lead to Copeland accepting the offer to team with Allin & Sting at Full Gear against Christian, Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne.

Tony Khan’s Important Announcement is made. All In London 2024 tickets go on sale December 1 but fans can sign up for a presale that will begin on November 27. Unless you’re in Europe it’s not that important.

Match 3: Angelo Parker & Matt Menard vs. Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega
Result: Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega beat Angelo Parker & Matt Menard. Jericho pinned Parker after Judas Effect. Afterwards, Callis challenged Jericho & Omega to a street fight in 2 weeks. Omega accepted with Kota Ibushi being brought in to team with them, and Jericho brought out The Big Show (Paul Wight) as their other partner.

The Young Bucks are starting to turn heel on Omega.

Match 4: AEW Women’s Champion HIkaru Shida vs. Willow Nightingale for the title
Result: AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida beat Willow Nightingale to retain the title. Toni Storm came out afterwards but got run off by Shida. Julia Hart then appeared in the ring and stared down Nightingale until Skye Blue interjected herself in the middle and misted Hart.

MJF still needs partners. Jeff Jarrett & Crew?

Main event is next.

Main Event: Jay White, Juice Robinson & Gunn Club vs. MJF & the 3 TBAs…The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn
Result: Jay White, Juice Robinson & Gunn Club beat MJF, The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn. White pinned MJF after Bladerunner. Garbage comedy match.

Just not a good show all around. The Tony Khan major announcement will of course spur more mockery and bad (good) jokes when the next one comes around. He won’t admit it but based on live crowd attendance, from what I see online, AEW is in a bad place right now as crowds are way down from a year or so ago.

Friday on Rampage: Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal vs. Gunn Club, Skye Blue vs. Marina Shafir, Trent Beretta vs. Daniel Garcia and El Hijo Del Vikingo vs. Penta El Zero M & Komander in a 3-way..

Saturday on Collision: The Acclaimed 69-Day Championship Celebration. Also Darby Allin vs. Lance Archer and AR Fox vs. Swerve Strickland.

Announced for Full Gear: Adam Page vs. Swerve Strickland, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne vs. Darby Allin, Sting & Adam Copeland and AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley for the title.

UPDATE: AEW has signed Dralistico. This comes from the socials of Dralistico.

AEW Dynamite 10/25/23 Results (Updated)

Here are the quick results from tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Philadelphia. PA (Temple University):

Updates will begin at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET.

MJF interviewed by Renee Paquette to open the show. Roderick Strong interrupts briefly. The Devil briefly appears at the end.

No opening video, right to pyro and commentary opening.

Match 1: MJF vs. Juice Robinson for the Dynamite Diamond Ring
Result: MJF beat Juice Robinson to retain the Dynamite Diamond Ring for the next year. Afterwards, Gunn Club beatdown led to The Kingdom & The Acclaimed getting involved, MJF giving Gunn Club an ROH World Tag Team Championship match at Full Gear, accepting Jay White’s challenge for an 8-man tag match next week and MJF vs. Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship Saturday at Collision.

Wardlow promo.

Match 2: Hook & Rob Van Dam vs. John Silver & Alex Reynolds
Result: Hook & Rob Van Dam beat John Silver & Alex Reynolds. Hook beat Silver with Redrum.

Toni Storm’s newest “film” plays during split-screen commercial, but it sounds like she has a title shot coming up at Full Gear on 11/18. What we don’t yet know is which title. And…is that…Luther as a butler? Haven’t seen him since the days of Streamerpentico before we knew for sure he was actually Jon Cruz the whole time!

Schiavone has his Stingasm and brings out Sting. Darby Allin is with him, right arm in a sling. Tony Khan’s gift to Sting is revealed and it’s…RIC FLAIR! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! But Christian Cage interrupts and makes a challenge to Sting & Allin for a 6-man tag at Full Gear, their choice of partner. Accepted.

Renee interview with Chris Jericho from earlier today.

Match 3: ROH 6-Man Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks & Adam Page vs. The Hardys & Brother Zay for the titles
Result: ROH 6-Man Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks & Adam Page beat The Hardys & Brother Zay to retain the titles. Matt Jackson pinned Zay after BTE Trigger. Immediately afterwards, a video played of Swerve Strickland & Prince Nana inside Page’s house as Page ran to the back. It ended with Strickland leaving a Mogul Embassy shirt in his baby son’s crib.

Adam Copeleand interviewed. Allin & Sting try to recruit him as their partner because he has lost his Edge.

Match 4: AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida vs. Ruby Soho for the title
Result: AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida beat Ruby Soho to retain the title. Toni Storm came out post-match. She gets ANOTHER AEW Women’s Championship shot at Full Gear, and it could very well come against Shida.

MJF interviewed backstage. Samoa Joe interrupts to offer to be MJF’s bodyguard Saturday, which MJF accepts. Then the catch: Joe wants a rematch for the AEW World Championship.

Main Event: Orange Cassidy & Kazuchika Okada (New Japan) vs. Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli
Result: Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli beat Orange Cassidy & Kazuchika Okada. Castagnoli pinned Cassidy after a European Uppercut.

During the main event another new PPV, Worlds’ End, is announced for 12/30 in the New York City/Long Island, NY area (Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum).

Friday on Rampage: Santana vs. Ortiz, Skye Blue vs. Willow Nightingale, Anna Jay & Abadon in a 4-way and MJF & Kenny Omega speak.

Saturday on Collision: AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida vs. Friday’s 4-way winner for the title and AEW World Champion MJF vs. Kenny Omega for the title.

Next week: Cassidy-Castagnoli for the AEW International Championship.

This was a solid show that greatly overachieved, but Danielson was possibly injured in the main event and it looked like arm/wrist again and it completely ruined everything. It sucked the life out of the arena and commentary as Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, Rocky Romero & Hook all came out but despite the tensions cooler heads prevailed as we cut away. But there are understandably a lot of concerns about Danielson, and if Okada injured again, and sadly it made all the good stuff tonight not matter at all because this is what will be most remembered and talked about. I’m still trying to process everything myself. We’ll have to wait for updates and hope for the best for Danielson.

End Show.

UPDATE: After the show ended, Tony Khan posted on Twitter that Danielson left the ring and walked off under his own power without further specifics, but that is hopefully a good sign.

Also added to Rampage post-show is Kyle Fletcher vs. Konosuke Takeshita.

AEW Dynamite 10/18/23 Results (Updated)

Here are the quick results from tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Rosenberg, TX:

Match 1: Penta El Zero M (with Alex Abrahantes) vs. Jay White (with Bullet Club)
Result: Jay White beat Penta El Zero M. Juice Robinson interference helped at the end.
Post-match, White with microphone. He calls out MJF, who reportedly is not there. Robinson with microphone. He claims he is going to win the battle royal tonight then face MJF next week for the Dynamite Diamond Ring. And gets in a heck of a T.J. Maxx plug and chant from the crowd. HAHAHA!
(Side note regarding Lucha Bros: Rey Fenix is reportedly out indefinitely but temporarily. Visa issues. Happens every few years for international wrestlers worldwide. Same for American wrestlers in Japan and some other countries)

(Last-minute adds to the show during the first match: Wardlow and Lance Archer will squash jobbers. The Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal will be the main event)

Renee Forever Young interviews MJF backstage. So he is there and also mentions he’ll be on commentary for the main event. He wants Robinson to win tonight. Renee then asks for an Adam Cole update and gets cut off by The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn. They want to be MJF’s partners. MJF rejects them again. Max Caster says he’s in the battle royal tonight and will make it official next week. MJF walks off as Anthony Bowens argues with him. Caster can’t let it go, making this way too uncomfortable.

Match 2: AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida vs. Emi Sakura in a NON-TITLE match. But this is the usual “eliminator” meaning Sakura gets a rematch for the title if she wins
Result: Hikaru Shida beat Emi Sakura. The best women’s match I’ve seen on AEW TV in several weeks.

Renee interview with Adam Copeland for a rebuttal of Christian Cage. This was pre-recorded earlier today.

Match 3: Wardlow vs. a jobber. The jobber this time is Ryan Nemeth
Result: Wardlow beat Ryan Nemeth by ref stoppage (pity after ONE powerbomb in the opening seconds). Squash. Afterwards, Tony Schiavone interviews Wardlow. He shows his wrist tape with “MJF” written on it and bumps Schiavone, knocking him down on his way out of the ring.

Renee interviews Kenny Omega. He teases going after the AEW World Championship again after dealing with Don Callis & family. That comment brings in MJF to comment and offer a handshake. Omega accepts then as MJF leans in we hear him whisper “13 Days, Bitch” into Omega’s ear. (13 days from now is Halloween, unless it’s a reference to the 11/1 Dynamite in Louisville, KY) (UPDATE: Commentary later said 13 days is when MJF will pass Omega to become the longest reigning AEW World Champion in history)

Adam Cole/Roderick Strong video with The Kingdom from earlier today at Strong’s house. They have an unhealthy obsession with peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. Cole finally bails on Strong, and Strong suggests he’ll have to be nice to MJF.

Schiavone fakes being sick in the ring to introduce The Callous Hand Of Don (Don Callis), who comes out with Powerhouse Hobbs & Konosuke Takeshita. Callis opens with comments then Hobbs further calls out Chris Jericho. After being namedropped as a replacement for Sammy Guevara by Callis, Kyle Fletcher storms out. (Guevara is out due to a concussion) Fletcher says he did it as a favor after advice from Will Ospreay. He also says he’ll prove he doesn’t need any help to beat Kenny Omega. Callis says beat Omega and they may talk next week. Callis & crew head out as Omega’s music hits for…

Match 4: Kyle Fletcher vs. Kenny Omega
Result: Kenny Omega beat Kyle Fletcher

Danhausen promo.

Match 5: Lance Archer vs. a jobber. The jobber, being unceremoniously beaten down and rolled down the ramp to the ring, is Barrett Brown
Result: Lance Archer beat Barrett Brown. Squash.

Sting is next.

Swerve Strickland music video premieres Friday on AEW Music YouTube. The video is for a remix of his entrance music (the pre-Mogul Embassy version) Strickland/Prince Nana promo follows. Strickland is en fuego because of Adam Page.

Schiavone is in the ring for…time for the Stingasm! He brings out Stink…I mean Sting. He name-drops legend before finally getting to the point…talking what I thought it might be-retirement (again). And it’s official-his final AEW match will be at Revolution next year, which is where he had his first AEW match 3 years ago. And it’s absolutely retirement for good. So…Darby Allin? Although it only means 4 more months of Stingasms for Schiavone.

RJ City backstage to introduce Toni Storm’s next movie. Storm comes in as the black & white old-school movie effect is applied as the film debuts. And of course as we go to split-screen commercial!

Back from split-screen as the “film” ends. We go right to the Jim Ross sitdown interview with Nick Wayne & his mom. Wayne snaps when she mentions Darby Allin and announces that Buddy Wayne is not his father anymore. No, He-Christian Cage-His His Father now. Christian walks off with Wayne then as the door slams behind them we hear noises. Darby Allin beats down Christian and attacks Wayne in the back as we cut back to commentary. But moments later Allin & Wayne make their way out to the ramp as Luchasaurus is right behind them to beat down Allin briefly before Sting makes the save. No Stingasm this time. Sting gets Christian into the ring and locks in Scorpion Deathlock before Luchasaurus pulls CHristian out. Before this we briefly see Wayne has been busted open, maybe a tooth knocked out of his mouth. Allin & Sting stand tall in the ring.

Friday on Rampage: Mistico vs. Rocky Romero, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta vs. TBA, Skye Blue vs. Rubo Soho and John Silver vs. Kip Sabian & Brother Zay in a 3-way for an AEW International Championship match Saturday.

Saturday on Collision: Ricky Starks & Big Bill vs. Castagnoli/Yuta for the AEW Tag Team Championship & Miro vs. Action Andretti (previously announced on social media).

On BOTB 8 Saturday after Collision: AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy vs. Friday’s Rampage 3-way winner for the title, AEW Trios Champions The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn vs. Angelo Parker, Matt Menard & Daniel Garcia for the titles (previously announced on social media) and AEW TBS Champion Kris Statlander vs. Willow NIghtingale for the title, the last one announced by Statlander in an interview with Renee & Best Friends.

Next week: Tony Khan has a gift for Sting, Rob Van Dam & Hook vs. TBA and MJF vs. the winner of the main event for the Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Main Event: Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal for the shot at MJF & the ring next week. Participants: Dustin Rhodes, (Commercial as Rhodes comes out, then all but the last 2 came out during commercial) Juice Robinson, Max Caster. Other participants: Jake Hager, Trent Beretta, Jeff Hardy, Matt Sydal, Johnny TV, Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, Matt Hardy, Komander. MJF comes out last to join commentary.
Order of elimination (over the top rope only) Matt Sydal, Johnny TV, Matt Hardy, Komander, Jake Hager, Trent Beretta, Jeff Hardy, Matt Menard, Dustin Rhodes, Daniel Garcia, Max Caster.
Result: Juice Robinson wins. As a result, Robinson will face MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring next week. Jay White attacked MJF near the end, the distraction allowing Robinson to pull the cheap ring out of his tights and use it to punch Caster with the loaded hand to knock him out before the finish. There was a 5 minute overrun for this match.

I’ve really been down on Dynamite the last month because I thought the shows were kinda bad, but that streak ended tonight. A much better show than recently, all the matches were really good (I do like battle royals), promos and other stuff were a mixed bad but for the most part they were good. I enjoyed at least 90% of this week’s show. If I were grading it like I normally would on Facebook, tonight gets a solid B.

End show.

POST-SHOW UPDATE: At about 8:20 PM PT/11:20 PM ET Tony Khan announced Eddie Kingston vs. Jeff Jarrett in a street fight for Collision. And if Jarrett wins. Jay Lethal gets an ROH World Title shot.

Samoa Joe promo.

Saturday on Collision at 7 PM ET AGAIN: Christian Cage vs. Bryan Danielson for the AEW TNT Championship.

Next week: Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal. Winner faces MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring the week after in Philadelphia.

MJF tries to call Adam Cole but the call gets dropped. Max Caster then volunteers The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn to be MJF’s partners for an 8-man tag against Buller Club. MJF refuses as Gunn & ANthony Bowens have issues with Caster.

Main Event: Luchasaurus (with Christian Cage) vs. Adam Copeland
Result: Adam Copeland beat Luchasaurus. Mainly being squashed until Christian interference backfired. BCC, Gates Of Agony & Adam Page all came out for a big post-match brawl all over the place.

Promised overrun went a total of 15 minutes, they advertised a reported 10 minutes.

The shoe started off great but once the International Championship match happened it went off a cliff for me and left me disgusted and planning to take a hiatus from Dynamite for a bit and only watching Collision. I hope AEW comes back to Northern California soon so I can go WWE on Tony Khan like they did on social media today. I’ve been a loyal AEW fan since Day 1 but my faith is wavering this past month.

End Show.

Just added to Dynamite next Tuesday: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Chris Jericho and Jay White vs. Adam Page. MLB Playoffs on TBS next Wednesday-this is the only scheduled postseason baseball pre-emption, anything further would be unscheduled if there are rainouts.

Adam Copeland speaks. He went right to the top of the hour then called out Christian Cage. He wanted them to team again one last time. They hugged out but then Cage turned against Copeland and brought out Lucahsaurus & Nick Wayne for a staredown. Copeland’s first AEW match is Tuesday vs. Luchasaurus although he will be at Collision Saturday. They went nearly 7 minutes on overrun.

It was another average show that felt like another letdown post-PPV, but the International Title match and tag team match were both good and are worth a look. The overrun provided a lot of intrigue so hopefully your DVR got that extra time, there were a lot of issues with TV listings for cable/satellite tonight so be prepared to perhaps seek the overrun out on YouTube.

End Show.

UPDATE: Callis’ comments on Guevara not being cleared were legit, as Guevara was injured at Sunday’s PPV. Concussion. Out indefinitely.

WrestleDream card rundown.

Swerve Strickland-Adam Page contract signing for Sunday. The Elite & Mogul Embassy are banned from ringside. They talked until we began overrun then Strickland went to sign as Page stabbed Steickland’s hand with a pencil. Security pulled them apart and kept them that way to end the show…

Just as they were about to end, cameras cut to backstage where Jay White was beatdown by several masked men with horned masks. One reached to cut the camera and…

End Show.

My feed had a lot of audio issues throughout the broadcast which affected my experience, but compared to the last few weeks it was a better show. The MJF/Cole-White promo ran way too long but as always it’s must-see. The matches as a whole were better despite only having 4 matches instead of the usual 5-6. That cliffhanger at the end though…

I felt the show did not live up to the Grand Slam billing. Just another average show with some glaring issues with camera work and some notable botched spots. Nothing terrible but nothing awesome either.

End Show.

Once again it was a Dynamite that happened. Nothing terrible but nothing great and nothing to get me more excited for next week’s biggest episode of the year in New York City. Another completely average show.

End Show.l

Match 3: Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara vs. Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher). Don Callis on commentary.

Result: Darby Allin beat Nick Wayne by ref stoppage. As a result, Allin will face Roderick Strong in the Semifinals Saturday on Collision. Right before the last commercial Christian Cage & Luchasaurus came out to join commentary.

While not as much All Out fallout as I hoped for, the show got the quick NYC build off to a good start and the matches were all above average or better. The MJF promo segment ran too long but as usual is must-see. Most of the show is at least worth watching.

Finally, announced during the show was that the Full Gear PPV will be on 11/18 at The Forum in Los Angeles.

AEW Dynamite 8/3/23 Results

Here are the quick results from tonight’s Episode 200 of AEW Dynamite in Tampa, FL:

Match 1: Chris Jericho & Konosuke Takeshita vs. Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara
Result: Chris Jericho & Konosuke Takeshita beat Daniel Garcia & Sammy Guevara. Jericho pinned Garcia after a behind-the-back baseball bat cheap shot from Don Callis.

Matt Menard confronts Jericho backstage. Mandatory JAS meeting next week and Jericho is to be there.

Jack Perry-Jerry Lynn face-off. But Lynn backs off due to claiming it would be “child abuse” and he wouldn’t be medically cleared to compete anyway, so he brings out fellow ECW legend Rob Van Dam in his place. Perry bailed, then tried to come back with a cheap shot with a chair but it was avoided and Perry bailed into the crowd, even teasing using a girl in the front row as a shield.

Match 2: Jon Moxley vs. Trent Beretta & Penta El Zero M in a 3-way Anything Goes match
Result: Trent Beretta beat Jon Moxley & Penta El Zero M in a 3-way by pinning Penta. Afterwards, BCC & Best Friends brawled and Chuck Taylor challenged BCC to a parking lot fight at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville Friday on Rampage.

Van Dam challenges Perry to a match for the FTW Title for next week.

MJF comes out. He plays up to the crowd then calls out Adam Cole. This all builds up to MJF giving Cole an AEW World Championship match and it will be the main event of All In London. It will be a PPV via cable/satellite providers and Bleacher Report in the US and FITE elsewhere on 8/27 at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT.

Match 3: The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega vs. Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh
Result: The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega beat Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh. Omega pinned Lethal after One Winged Angel. The end came as Sonjay Dutt, Karen Jarrett, Brandon Cutler, The Hardys & Adam Page all got involved.

Swerve Strickland & AR Fox promo. This leads into a video they made where they visit Buddy Wayne’s wrestling school (a ring in a garage) and beat down Nick Wayne, then they use Wayne’s cell phone to call Darby Allin and threaten him over Allin not calling Fox when he signed to AEW. Strickland says it’s just the beginning.

Match 4: ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open vs. El Hijo Del Vikingo & Komander for the titles
Result: ROH World Tag Team Champions Aussie Open beat El Hijo Del Vikingo & Komander to retain the titles. Kyle Fletcher pinned Komander after Corealis.

Main Event: AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm vs. Hikaru Shida for the title
Result: Hikaru Shida beat AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm to become THE NEW AEW WOMEN’S WORLD CHAMPION! Ruby Soho & Saraya interference throughout, in the end it backfired when they threw Shida’s Singapore Cane in. Storm used the spray paint can afterwards to blind Shida, but couldn’t get 3 with Storm Zero. A small package got Shida the 3 count and the title.

Overall, to me it was another Dynamite that happened, a totally average show. Could have been much better but bad cut-away timing and editing/timing weighed it down. I have been enjoying Collision more lately, it seems to be more of what I like. There was nothing really bad tonight, but nothing really great either.

Friday on Rampage: Parking Lot Fight at Daily’s Place, Anna Jay vs. Skye Blue, Swerve Strickland & AR Fox vs. TBA and Keith Lee & The Hardys vs. The Butcher, The Blade & Kip Sabian.
