A crossover showcasing New Japan’s partnership with the Mexico-based lucha libre promotion, many of the top luchadors made the trip back to Japan for a week of these special events.

New Japan News: Young Lion Debuting in Mexico

New Japan announced today that Yota Tsuji, one of the last batch of Young Lions who is now on his traditional international training excursion, will be debuting in the CMLL promotion in Mexico tomorrow at the weekly Viernes Espectacular (Friday Spectacular) event at Arena Mexico in Mexico City. He arrived in Mexico yesterday and was interviewed upon his arrival. He will compete as his first name only-Yota-and will likely be a rudo (heel). He appeared yesterday on CMLL’s weekly program “CMLL Informa”, which can be watched live and on demand every Wednesday FOR FREE on YouTube in Spanish.

Video of Yota’s CMLL debut likely will be available on YouTube at a later date (they currently upload Viernes Espectacular replays 3-4 weeks after each event).
