News: Ganbare Announces 1/31 Venue Change (Updated)

Ganbare Pro announced today that their planned 1/31 event at Takashimadaira Community Center in Tokyo has now been moved to Shin-Kiba 1st Ring at the same scheduled time. This is because of the upcoming snap elections (impromptu and unscheduled) in Japan called recently by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi (which last bappened last year and, for the ruling party, backfired) so use of the original venue that day is not allowed to prepare for early voting. Tickets already purchased for the event will be honored at the new location although refunds are being offered due to Munetatau Nakamura being off due to injuries-Nakamura was to have challenges for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Championship. Nakamura is off due to a neck injury, and Takuya Wada is also off due to family circumstances. Shinichiro Tominaga now gets the title shot against Masaaki Mochizuki.

UPDATE: The promotion has also provided an update on the Nakamura injury Cervical disc hernia. Out indefinitely but now at least 6 more weeks. Best-case return date is now 3/7 but further decisions will be made closer to that time.

Ganbare Pro 1/11/26 Results (Updated)

Ganbare Pro held an event Sunday with several matches spread out between boat races at a venue in Saitama.

Sunday’s event was held at Boat Race Toda 1st Floor Event Hall in Saitama and may be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date.

This was a free event outside of venue admission so there was no paid attendance announced.

There was a last-minute change to the event due to Takuya Wada being pulled off the card. Unspecified circumstances. Match 2 was changed as a result.

UPDATE: Injury Report-Munetatsu Nakamura may have been injured during this event. Neck. Out at least several weeks and will miss 1/31. Status for February and beyond TBD. This means a significant 1/31 change because Nakamura was supposed to face Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Champion Masaaki Mochizuki for the title. Shinichiro Tominaga is the replacement. The promotion is also offering refunds for purchased tickets as a result. On social media, Nakamura posted he should know more on his recovery after a doctor’s visit next week.

Quick Note Regarding Ganbare Pro 11/9/25 Results (Updated x3)

Ganbare Pro held a major event today in Tokyo, but since there was no live broadcast and results don’t seem to be posted yet anywhere I will post them as soon as I can find them. Worst-case is they will be up Tuesday as the event is scheduled to be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Monday at 11 PM PT/Tuesday at 2 AM ET. (It sounds like the main event result may be out there based on social media posts from Yuna Manase & Masaaki Mochizuki, who faced off for the Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Championship held by Mochizuki)

UPDATE: Here are the results:

Today’s event was held at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo and should be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE tomorrow at 11 PM PT/Tuesday at 2 AM ET.

The announced paid attendance was 202.

Main Event: Spirit Of Ganbare World Openweight Champion Masaaki Mochizuki beat Yuna Manase to retain the title. V2 for Mochizuki. Manase comes up just short in her bid to become the first woman to hold the promotion’s top title…or virtually any major non-women’s title in Japan for that matter (excluding DDT’s various tag team titles and All-Japan’s 6-man tag team title which both were held by Saki Akai at one time). Next up: Ohka. That match may happen on 11/29 but that depends on scheduling because Dragon Gate also has an event that day in Okinawa (match card TBA) while Ganbare will be in Tokyo. I would think they would hold it for their year-ender on 12/27 when they go back to Korakuen Hall but we’ll see.

The next event is 11/29 at Takashimadaira Community Center. It will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE a few days after the event.
