GLEAT 12/30/24 Results (Updated 1/4/25)

GLEAT’s annual year-end blowout event, GLEAT Ver. 14, was held yesterday in Tokyo.

Yesterday’s event was held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on YouTube…but for now it’s paywalled. They launched a new membership on the channel which will have the live and on demand broadcasts for now (whether or not they go un-paywalled at some point is not yet known). Membership is $8.99/month and will include other perks. All prior events that have been uploaded before this are still available on demand on the channel for free.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. (1/4/25 UDPATE: The announced paid attendance was 1045)

Match 1: Takanori Ito, Kumaarashi & Issei Onitsuka beat Mr. Iguana, JD Lee & Junjie.

Match 2: So Daimonji & Hartley Jackson beat Tomoaki Honma (New Japan) & Ryo Aitaka.

Match 3: Chris Weiss, Brass Knuckles JUN & Ryuichi Kawakami beat KAZMA SAKAMOTO, Quiet Storm & Kouki Iwasaki. (UPDATE: During this match, Iwasaki was originally a masked wrestler until he turned on SAKAMOTO and defected from Bulk Orchestra to Anti-GLE Monsters (the winners).

Match 4: Lidet UWF Single Bout: Minoru Tanaka beat Yu Iizuka.

Match 5; Psycho Clown beat Takehiro Yamamura.

Match 6: Manami (Diana) & Meiko Satomura (Sendai Girls) beat MICHIKO & Risa Sera (Independent/Freelancer).

Match 7: In a Into The G-RUSH Rules match (2 count falls, only 2 rope escapes allowed, 7 minute time limit), Issei Onitsuka beat CIMA.

Match 8: Katsuhiko Nakajima, Yoshiaki Fujiwara & Tatsumi Fujinami beat Kaito Ishida, Kotaro Suzuki & Tetsuya Izuchi.

Match 9: Seigo Tachibana & Kuroshio TOKYO Japan beat T-Hawk & El Lindaman to win the vacant G INFINITY Championship. Tachibana & Kuroshio become the 7th G INFINITY Champions. God save us all.

Main Event: Soma Watanabe beat G-REX Champion Hayato Tamura to win the title. Watanabe becomes the 5th G-REX Champion. Tamura’s record reign ends at precisely one year.

The next event is GLEAT Ver. 15 on 1/11 at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Tokyo. Broadcast plans TBA, if live on YouTube expect it to be paywalled.

GLEAT 12/15/24 Results

GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event yesterday in Osaka, the last Osaka event of the year which also featured a new concept experiment.

Yesterday’s event was held at Umeda Stellar Hall in Osaka and will be available on demand on YouTube Wednesday. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 267.

Match 1: MICHIKO, Magbitude Kishiwada & Seiichi Ikemoto beat Maho Blanca, Minoru Tanaka & Gamma. MICHIKO pinned Gamma after Masada Drop. Tanaka was a late replacement for the absent CIMA (fever).

Matches 2 & 3 were G-RUSH Matches (7 minute time limit, 2 count pinfalls and also only 2 rope escapes allowed, 3 means loss, if a time limit draw the match continues with no time limit, 1 count falls and 1 rope escape allowed).

Match 2: Issei Onitsuka beat KAZMA SAKAMOTO.

Match 3: Kotaro Suzuki beat Yu Iizuka.

Match 4; El Lindaman & Takanori Ito beat Junjie & JD Lee. Ito pinned Lee with a German suplex hold.

Match 5: T-Hawk beat Ryo Aitaka by submission.

Match 6: Kaito Ishida, So Daimonji & Hartley Jackson beat Ryuichi Kawakami, Brass Knuckles JUN & Chris Weiss. Daimonji pinned JUN after Black Rain.

Main Event: Lidet UWF Single Bout: Lidet UWF Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima beat Tetsuya Izuchi by TKO to retain the title. V2 for Nakajima.

The next event is GLEAT Ver. 14 on 12/30 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo. Live streaming on YouTube will begin at 1 AM PT/4 AM ET…however, it’s not going to be free. They will introduce a channel membership beginning on 12/23 for live broadcasts and other members-only bonus content. The subscription fee will be 990 Japanese yen/month, which works out to around $6.75 US. Like all YouTube membership channels, ti’s month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. I may get it at some point to support the promotion although schedules really don’t allow me to watch their events live.

GLEAT 11/23/24 Results

GLEAT ran a non-televised house show today in Yokohama, the first of 2 consecutive such events planned.

Today’s event was held at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama. There was no live broadcast and there will be no on demand broadcast available on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 191.

Match 1: MICHIKO, Yu Iizuka & Yumehito Imanari beat Yuna Manase, Takanori Ito & Issei Onitsuka. MICHIKO pinned Manase after a tombstone piledriver. Afterwards, MICHIKO challenged Manase for her Kitsune Women’s Wrestling World Championship. That match will happen in Ganbare Pro Wrestling on 12/27 at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo.

Match 2: Kotaro Suzuki beat Junjie.

Match 3: Ryuichi Kawakami & Chris Weiss beat Takehiro Yamamura & JD Lee. Weiss pinned Lee after a package piledriver.

Match 4: Kaito Ishida, Tetsuya Izuchi & Hartley Jackson beat Minoru Tanaka Ryo Aitaka & Chris Ridgeway. Izuchi pinned Aitaka after Kill Zone.

Match 5: Soma Watanabe beat Brass Knuckles JUN.

GLEAT 11/17/24 Results

GLEAT ran their latest signature event, GLEAT Ver. 13, this past Sunday in Fukuoka, but didn’t post results until earlier today.

Sunday’s event was held at Nishitetsu Hall in Fukuoka and can be watched on demand on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 271.

Match 1; Ryuchi Kawakami & Chris Weiss beat Issei Onitsuka & Ryo Aitaka. Weiss pinned Onitsuka after a package piledriver.

Match 2; Tetsuya Izuchi & Kotaro Suzuki beat Minoru Tanaka & Chris Ridgeway. Izuchi pinned Tanaka after Killzone.

Match 3: T-Hawk beat Junjie.

Match 4: In a Lumberjack Whipping Match, MICHIKO beat Brass Knuckles JUN.

Match 5: Kaito Ishida & So Daimonji beat Parker & Macy Boudreaux. Daimonji pinned Macy Boudreaux after Black Rain.

Match 6: Soma Watanabe, Takehiro Yamamura & JD Lee beat Hayato Tamura, KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Quiet Storm. Watanabe pinned SAKAMOTO after a dropkick.

Main Event: Lidet UWF Double Bout: Katsuhiko Nakajima & Yu Iizuka beat Takanori Ito & El Lindaman by TKO. Nakajima beat Ito with Northern Lights Bomb. Afterwards, Tetsuya Izuchi attacked Nakajima and demanded a Lidet UWF Championship fight. No word on when/if that will happen.

The next event is a GLEAT House Show tomorrow at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama. There will be no live or on demand broadcast (no YouTube at all this time).
Injury Report: The promotion has announced KAZMA SAKAMOTO is now off tomorrow’s event. Fever. He was apparently to have been in the main event, an 8-man tag. It appears Kumaarashi is the replacement.

It also has been announced that the next event after this, a GLEAT House Show on 12/14 in Kyoto, also will have no live or on demand broadcast on YouTube. After that is Osaka on 12/15 (Umesa Stellar Hall) so no live broadcast there, so the next live broadcast may be the major year-ender on 12/30 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo.

GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event yesterday in Osaka.

Yesterday’s event was held at Umeda Stellar Hall in Osaka and will be available on demand on YouTube tomorrow at 3 AM PT/6 AM ET. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 214.

Before the event began, Takehiro Yamamura, Soma Watanabe, Junjie & JD Lee came out and announced their new faction will be known as G-RIZE.

Match 1: KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Koki Iwasaki beat Issei Onitsuka & Kumaarashi. SAKAMOTO pinned Onitsuka after Trans Rave.

Match 2: Chris Ridgeway beat Yu Iizuka by submission.

Match 3: Minoru Tanaka, Takanori Ito & MICHIKO beat Tetsuya Izuchi, Keiichi Sato & AKARI. Ito pinned Sato with a German suplex hold.

Match 4: Hayato Tamura & Quiet Storm beat Parker Boudreaux & Macy Boudreaux. Storm pinned Macy Boudreaux after 53cm Arm Lariat.

Match 5: Ryo Aitaka beat Seiichi Ikemoto.

Match 6: T-Hawk, El Lindaman & Seiki Yoshioka beat Ryuichi Kawakami, Brass Knuckles JUN & Chris Weiss. T-Hawk beat JUN with a cobra twist. Afterwards, a beatdown by the losers on T-Hawk happened until Ryo Aitaka made the save. Then Aitaka asked for a match against T-Hawk. Agreed to. That match will happen at the next event at this venue, which is currently scheduled for 12/15.

Main Event: Kaito Ishida, Hartley Jackson, Kotaro Suzuki & So Daimonji beat Soma Watanabe, Takehiro Yamamura, Junjie & JD Lee. Daimonji pinned Lee after Black Rain.

The next event is Wednesday at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo. Broadcast plans TBA but since it’s Tokyo and Shinjuku Face it probably will be a live broadcast on YouTube, if that is the case live streaming will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET.

GLEAT ran their latest all-encompassing blowout event yesterday, GLEAT Ver. MEGA in OSAKA.

Yesterday’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gym in Osaka and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube.

Match 1: KAZMA SAKAMOTO, Quiet Storm, Mirko Mori & Nico Inverardi beat Issei Onitsuka, Junjie, JD Lee & Jesse Queen. SAKAMOTO pinned Lee after a half package piledriver.

Match 5: In a GLEAT MMA Grappling Rules Match Series, 3 matches each with 5 1-minute rounds, TEAM GLEAT beat Tokyo Sabres 1-0-2.
Match 1: Daisuke Nakamura vs. Masaki Takeura went to a Draw.
Match 2: Hideki Sekine beat Kanten-Man in 30 seconds.
Match 3: Yu Iizuka vs. Caol Uno went to a draw.

Match 6: Ryo Aitaka, Kota Ibushi, Yukimitsu Takahashi & Kikutaro beat Minoru Tanaka, Takanori Ito, Seiichi Ikemoto & Tsutenkakka. Ibushi pinned Ito after Kamigoye. (I’m wondering if Ibushi got injured or something here because DDT has announced Ibushi is off two upcoming scheduled events later this month and they are offering refunds as a result)

Match 7: Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel beat G INFINITY Champions Kaito Ishida & Tetsuya Izuchi to win the titles. Wentz & Miguel become the 6th G INFINITY Champions. Miguel pinned Izuchi after Feed ‘Em to the Lions. UPSET ALERT!!! Now the titles might be headed to TNA Wrestling after Rascalz won them.

Match 8: CIMA & Ricochet (All Elite Wrestling) beat Soma Watanabe & El Hijo de Vikingo (AEW). RIcochet pinned Watanabe after a 630 splash.

Match 0: G-REX Champion Hayato Tamura beat Parker Boudreaux (AEW) to retain the title. V8 for Tamura.

Main Event: Lidet UWF Single Bout: Lidet UWF Champion Katsuhiko Nakajima beat Masakatsu Funaki by ref stoppage (technical submission) to retain the title. V1 for Nakajima.

The next event is GLEAT Ver. EX-GLEAT VS. STRONG ENEMY Wednesday at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Broadcast plans TBA but since it’s Korakuen I anticipate it being a live broadcast on YouTube.

GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event yesterday in Osaka.

Yesterday’s event was held at Umeda Stellar Hall Sky Hall in Osaka and will be available on demand on YouTube at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 222.

Match 1: Seiichi Ikemoto & JD Lee beat Yu Iizuka & Ender Kara by TKO. Ikemoto beat Kara with a Brazilian high kick.

Match 2: Ryuichi Kawakami & Brass Knuckles JUN beat Takanori Ito & Issei Onitsuka. JUN pinned Onitsuka after Brass Knuckles Attack.

Match 3: Hayato Tamura, KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Quiet Storm beat Soma Watanabe, Junjie & Shaheen. Tamura pinned Shaheen after a lariat. Afterwards, a video was played where US independent wrestler Parker Boudreaux made a G-REX Championship challenge. That match will happen on 10/6 at Osaka Prefectural Gym.

Match 4: Koki Iwasaki beat Magnitude Kishiawada, Densha MICHIO, Riki Aitaka & Kumaarashi in a 5-way by pinning MICHIO. As a result, Iwasaki gets to join Bulk Orchestra.

Match 5: Takehiro Yamamura beat Kotaro Suzuki.

Match 6: Minoru Tanaka & Chris Ridgeway beat Tetsuya Izuchi & Hartley Jackson. Ridgeway pinned Jackson. Afterwards, Ridgeway announced he would return to GLEAT in October.

Main Event: T-Hawk, El Lindaman & Seiki Yoshioka beat Kaito Ishida, Emperador Azteca & Bendito. T-hawk pinned Azteca after Night Ride.

GLEAT 7/1/24 Results

GLEAT held their traditional anniversary event yesterday, also normally their biggest annual event, dubbed GLEAT Ver. 12. The event also was the retirement event for Kaz Hayashi.

Match 1: Jun Tonsho, MICHIKO, Junjie, Joe Lando & Shuji Ishikawa beat Riki Aitaka, Yukimitsu Takahashi, Yumehito Imanari, Kaji Tomato & Tyson Maeguchi. Lando pinned Takahashi after Steez Bomb.

Match 2: Minoru Tanaka & Kazuki Hirata beat Issei Onitsuka & Yusuke Kodama. Tanaka pinned Onitsuka after BDF.

Match 3: Octagon Jr. & Soma Watanabe beat SBK & TAKUMA. Octagon pinned TAKUMA after La Mahia de Dragon.

Match 4: Kotaro Suzuki, Hartley Jackson & So Daimonji beat T-Hawk, Takehiro Yamamura & Seiki Yoshioka. Suzuki pinned Yamamura after a tiger driver.

(Kawakami had his contract terminated effective after this event following an incident at an event last month where he attacked President Hiroyuki Suzuki)

Match 6: Kaz Hayashi Retirement Match: Kaito Ishida & Tetsuya Izuchi beat G INFINITY Champions Kaz Hayashi & CIMA to win the titles. Ishida & Izuchi become the 5th G INFINITY Champions. Ishida pinned Hayashi with a half tiger suplex hold.

Match 7: G-REX Champion Hayato Tamura beat Yuki Iino to retain the title. V6 for Tamura.

Match 8: Kota Ibushi 20th Anniversary Match: In an Exhibition Match, Kota Ibushi faced Daisuke Sekimoto in a 5 minute match. Ibushi, for those wondering, reportedly is still recovering from major injuries and is not 100%.

Match 9: Lidet URF Single Bout: Shinya Aoki beat El Lindaman by submission.

Main Event: Lidet UWF Championship Single Bout: Katsuhiko Nakajima beat Takanori Ito by ref stoppage (submission) to win the vacant title. Nakajima becomes the 3rd Lidet UWF Champion.

After the matches, Hayashi came out again to greet the fans as his retirement became official. He announced he would remain with Lidet Entertainment as an employee of GLEAT.

The next event is G PROWRESTLING Ver. 74 on 7/15 at Umeda Stellar Hall in Osaka. There will be no live broadcast. The promotion has also announced another house show for the following event on 8/21 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, which will not be available live or on demand onYouTube.

GLEAT 3/16/24-3/17/24 Results

GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event this weekend in Osaka, but also then held their first GLEAT-branded non-televised house show after that.

Saturday’s event was held at Umeda Stellar Hall in Osaka and should be available on demand on YouTube at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 223.

Match 1: Minoru Tanaka, Magnitude Kishiwada & JD Lee beat Kaz Hayashi, MICHIKO & Jun Tonsho. Tanaka beat Tonsho with Minoru Special.

Match 2: Soma Watanabe beat Issei Onitsuka.

Match 3: Lidet UWF Double Bout: Tetsuya Izuchi & Riki Aitaka beat Yu Iizuka & Seiichi Ikemoto by submission. Izuchi beat Iizuka,

Match 4: Quiet Storm beat Junjie.

Match 5: T-Hawk & Takehiro Yamamura beat El Lindaman & CIMA. T-Hawk pinned CIMA after Tenchi. Afterwards, Lindaman asked for T-Hawk to be his opponent for his 10th Anniversary Match at a STRONGHEARTS produced event on 4/14. Accepted. Then Onitsuka came out and asked for Yamamura to be his opponent at that event. Also accepted. Then a video from Shigehiro Irie played announcing he would return to Japan for that event. He is currently in England.

Match 6: Takanori Ito beat So Daimonji. Afterwards, because they have split the 2 prior matches Ito demanded a 3rd match but with no pinfalls. Accepted.

Main Event: Check Shimatani, Hayato Tamura, Ryuichi Kawakami & KAZMA SAKAMOTO beat Kaito Ishida, Hartley Jackson, Kotaro Suzuki & Jordan Oliver. Shimatani pinned Oliver after a reverse strike. Shimatani promo afterwards where he thanked the fans in Osaka and promised to come back bigger. This was his last Osaka match before an international training excursion.

Yesterday’s event was held at Hulic Hall in Kyoto. There will be no on demand broadcast on YouTube (there also was no live broadcast).

The announced paid attendance was 163.
