The announced paid attendance was 1499, a legit sellout.

Match 1: Shoma Kato Final Send-Off Match: Averno beat Shoma Kato. Kato is now headed to CMLL for his Young Lion training excursion.

Match 2: Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Sho, Yujiro Takahashi & Hijo de Stuka Jr. beat Tatsuya Matsumoto, Masatora Yasuda, Master Wato & Stigma. Stuka pinned Yasuda after a torpedo splash.

Match 3: Tiger Mask beat Magnus.

Match 4, Ryusuke Taguchi, Atlantis & Atlantis Jr. beat OKUMURA, Satoshi Kojima & Hechicero. Atlantis Jr. pinned OKUMURA after a diving body press.

Match 5: Valiente Jr., Futuro & Mascara Dorada beat Daiki Nagai, Hatsuratsu Guerrero & Titan. Valiente Jr. pinned Nagai after Aliente Special. Guerrero was a replacement for the absent Shingo Takagi (family circumstances).

Match 6: Templario beat Ultimo Guerrero.

Main Event: CMLL World Light Heavyweight Champion Mistico beat Soberano Jr. to retain the title.

The announced paid attendance was 1480, a legit sellout.

There was a super-last-second change to the card due to Shingo Takagi being pulled off the event. Family circumstances. Also out tomorrow. Hatsuratsu (?) Guerrero was the replacement.

Match 1: Masatora Yasuda, Valiente Jr. & Futuro beat Tatsuya Matsumoto, Master Wato & Ryusuke Taguchi. Futuro pinned Matsumoto after Salto Del Tiempo.

Match 2: Titan beat Shoma Kato.

Match 3: Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yujiro Takahashi & Magnus beat Tiger Mask, OKUMURA & Satoshi Kojima. Magnus pinned TM 4. Afterwards, Magnus unmasked TM 4 again, as he apparently has done the last couple events. (With TM 4 retiring later this year I do wonder if he will unmask then. But Jushin Liger never has so there’s no precedent outside of TM 2 & 3 doing so-they were Mitsuharu Misaes & Koji Kanemoto, respectively. TM 1? Not sure if Satoru Sayama ever unmasked)

Match 4: Hatsuratsu Guerrero & Ultimo Guerrero beat Zane Jay & Templario. Hatsuratsu pinned Jay after MADE IN JAPAN. Hmmmm…

Match 5: Stigma, Atlantis & Mistico beat Sho, Hijo de Stuka Jr. & Soberano Jr. Atlantis pinned Stuka after Atlantida.

Match 6: Averno beat CMLL World Historic Light Heavyweight Champion Atlantis Jr. to win the title.

Main Event: Mascara Dorada beat Hechicero.

The tour-ender is tomorrow, the first half of a doubleheader for the promotion. Live streaming on New Japan World will begin at 1:30 AM PT/4:30 AM ET. The second event is their first US event of the year in Trenton, NJ, which will be live as a PPV at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET. The PPV can be pre-purchased now for $19.99 US. A New Japan World paid subscription is mot required to buy the PPV.

In other news, the promotion also announced the return this year of my favorite event-Best Of The Super Junior. The prestigious Junior Heavyweight showcase event will return for a 33rd installment from May 14-June 7 with 14 total events. Further details to come.

UPDATE: In further news, the promotion announced that Tsuji’s next IWGP Heavyweight Championship defense will be at SAKURA GENESIS on 4/4 against the New Japan Cup winner.

New Japan began the home stretch of CMLL FANTASTICAMANIA 2026 today in Osaka.

Today’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gyn 2 in Osaka and can be watched on demand on New Japan World. You can also watch the first 2 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 905, a full house/near sellout.

There was a last-minute change to Match 4 due to Valiente Jr. being pulled off the event. Right knee injury suffered yesterday. Status uncertain for the rest of the tour. Tatsuya Matsumoto was the replacement.

Match 1: Stigma beat Daiki Nagai.

Match 2: Tiger Mask & Satoshi Kojima beat Masatora Yasuda & Hijo de Stuka Jr. TM 4 pinned Yaauda with a tiger suplex hold.

Match 3: Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Sho & Yujiro Takahashi beat Shoma Kato, Master Wato & OKUMURA. Sho pinned Kato. This was the first of a few send-off matches for Kato, who after this week is headed to CMLL for his Young Lion training excursion.

Match 4: Bone Soldier Jr., Shingo Takagi, Philip Marlowe Jr. & Titan beat Tatsuya Matsunoto, Ryusuke Taguchi, El Desperado & Futuro. Titan pinned Matsumoto after La Lanza.

New Japan continues CMLL FANTASTICAMANIA today with an event in Osaka. In addition to various CMLL-style matches, the event will feature the Semifinals of the annual tag team tournament, first with Atlantis & Atlantis Jr. facing Magnus & Averno then in the main event it’s Mascara Dorada & Mistico vs. Valiente Jr. & Futuro.

Today’s event will be held at ATC Hall C in Osaka and can be watched LIVE on New Japan World in Japanese. English will be available on demand at a later time/date. There are only 6 matches today and although the tournament matches have no time limit, based on the rest of the card I anticipate this event being on the rather short side at probably just under 2 hours.
