Day 2 of WRESTLING DONTAKU, New Japan’s traditional Golden Week Fukuoka blowout event, is now in the books.
Today’s event was held at Fukuoka International Center in Fukuoka and can be watched on demand on New Japan World OUTSIDE JAPAN ONLY. This event aired in Japan live as part of WORLD PRO WRESTLING LIVE 2024 on TV Asahi.
The announced paid attendance was 4238, a full house/near sellout.

Match 1: Katsuya Murashima & Togi Makabe beat Jet We & Naoki Sakurajima. Makabe pinned We after a King Kong Lariat. Frontier Zone match. The losers were from local promotion Kyushu Pro.
Match 2: Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls beat Shoma Kato & Tiger Mask. Nicholls pinned Kato after Power Bottom.
Match 1: Francesco Akira & Great-O-Khan beat DOUKI & Yuya Uemura. Akira beat DOUKI with Jorge Rivera Special.
Match 2: Kosei Fujita & Zack Sabre Jr. beat Callum Newman & Jeff Cobb. Sabre pinned Newman after Zack Driver.
Match 3: El Desperado, Shota Umino, El Phantasmo & Hikuleo beat Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Sho, Yujiro Takahashi & EVIL. Umino pinned Takahashi after Death Rider.
Match 4: Boltin Oleg & Hiroshi Tanahashi beat TAKA Michinoku & Taichi. Tanahashi pinned TAKA after High Fly Flow.
Match 5: BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Yota Tsuji & Tetsuya Naito beat Gedo, Taiji ishimori, Drilla Moloney & Clark Connors. Naito pinned Moloney after Destino.
Match 6: Chase Owens & KENTA beat IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions YOSHI-HASHI & Hirooki Goto to win the titles. Owens & KENTA become the 103rd IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. Owens pinned Goto.
Match 7: NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi beat Gabriel Kidd to retain the title. V1 for Takagi.
Match 8: David Finlay beat IWGP Global Champion Nic Nemeth to win the title. Finlay becomes the 3rd IWGP Global Champion. This was a last-second add after yesterday when Nemeth demanded the match. Looks like it backfired.
Main Event: IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley beat Ren Narita to retain the title. V2 for Moxley. Next up: Umino. That match will happen on 5/11 at Resurgence in Ontario, CA as he was set to face whoever was champion then.
The next event is ALL TOGETHER, the return of the joint promotional charity fundraiser event, this time for Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery efforts, Monday at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo. This installment will feature New Japan, Pro Wrestling NOAH and DDT Pro Wrestling as well as a Stardom match. Live streaming worldwide will be only on ABEMA as a PPV beginning at 12:30 AM PT/3:30 AM ET. As far as when it may be available on demand on New Japan World & WRESTLE UNIVERSE, it probably would be at least 2 weeks afterwards as the PPV viewing window is until 5/19.
