Pro Wrestling NOAH ran this month’s N INNOVATION event today, and on paper it was a big event with 2 title matches and someone’s NOAH run ending. More potential big shifting in the Jr. Heavyweight ranks.

Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE

The announced paid attendance was 360, a legit advance sellout.

There were a few late changes to the card yesterday and today before the event-first, Alejandro had to be removed from the card due to a fever. He was to have teamed with Kaito Kiyomiya to face Shuji Kondo & Hi69. Extreme Tiger was the telacement. Until…after that Daisuke Harada also had to be removed from the card. Fever. Because he was part of the champion team, it meant the Open The Triangle Gate Championship would now be VACANT. The scheduled title match was now for the vacant titles with Tiger replacing Harada, and TBA again with Kiyomiya in the first match.

Match 1: Kaito Kiyomiya & TBA, which ultimately wound up being Satoshi Kojima (who IS NOT a Jr. Heavyweight), beat Shuji Kondo & Hi69. Kojima pinned Hi69 after a Western lariat.

Match 2: Yoshinari Ogawa beat Kai Fujimura by submission. It only went 51 seconds. (Comment after watching on replay-this may have been a botched finish. Fujimura seemed to clearly have his shoulders up before the 3 count and the ref casually counted. Ogawa had caught Fujimura in a dropkick and was maybe setting up a Figure 4 but sat down for the pin. Very questionable but I think the ref blew this one)

Match 3: Seiki Yoshioka beat Yuya Susumu.

Match 4: NOSAWA Rongai, Eita & Kotaro Suzuki beat Atsushi Kotoge, YO-HEY & Extreme Tiger to win the vacant Open The Triangle Gate Championship. NOSAWA, Eita & Suzuki become the 81st Open The Triangle Gate Champions. Eita pinned YO-HEY after Imperial Uno.

Match 5: In a Loser NOAH Expulsion match, Tadasuke beat Haoh. As a result, Haoh is done with NOAH.

Main Event: GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion HAYATA beat Hajime Ohara by submission to retain the title. V2 for HAYATA. Next up: Yoshioka. That will happen on 7/16 at Nippon Budokan.

The next event is tomorrow at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

UPDATE: Potential correction on the opening match-when I watched the replay, Hi69 was announced as HIROKI, which is a name he later used before becoming Nioh.

Pro Wrestling NOAH returned to Kobe for the first time in some time yesterday, I forgot to post results although I was also feeling under the weather. The event was dubbed BACK IN THE KOBE! LIVE 2022.

Yesterday’s event was held at Kobe Sambo Hall in Kobe and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE beginning Wednesday at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

The paid attendance was not announced.

Match 1; Mohammed Yone & Alexander Otsuka (Independent/Freelancer) beat Shuhei Taniguchi & Kinya Okada. Yone pinned Okada after Kinniku Muscle Buster.

Match 2: YO-HEY & Extreme Tiger beat Atsushi Kotoge & Alejandro. YO-HEY pinned Alejandro after Face G.

Match 3: Kazushi Sakuraba beat Simon Gotch by submission.

Match 4: Yoshinari Ogawa & Yuya Susumu beat Seiki Yoshioka & Kai Fujimura. Susumu beat Fujimura with a crossface.

Match 5: HAYATA beat Hajime Ohara.

Match 6: Go Shiozaki, Michael Elgin, Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura beata Takashi Sugiura, Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Rene Dupree & Timothy Thatcher. Shiozaki pinned Wagner after Go Lariat.

Match 7: GHC National Champion Masakatsu Funaki beat Masato Tanaka by ref stoppage (technical submission) to retain the title. V4 for Funaki.

Main Event: Satoshi Kojima, Kaito Kiyomiya, Daiki Inaba, Daisuke Harada & Haoh beat Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima, Manabu Soya, Tadasuke & Hi69. Kojima pinned Hi69 after a Western lariat.

During the event it was also announced that Yoshiki Inamura participation is set for the upcoming ZERO1 Fire Festival Tournament in July. Inamura was to have been in last year’s tournament but was forced to miss the tournament due to injury.

The next event is an N INNOVATION event Thursday at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo with an Open The Triangle Gate Championship match and main event of HAYATA vs. Ohara for the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship. Between those matches is a big match of Haoh vs. Tadasuke in a Loser NOAH Expulsion match, meaning the loser is gone from the promotion. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Thursday at 2:30 AM PT/5:30 AM ET.

Pro Wrestling NOAH ran the second half of STAR NAVIGATION ’22 today, finishing off their build to CyberFight Festival ’22.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE later today. The live broadcast was only on ABEMA in Japan.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced.

Match 1: Kazuyuki Fujita & Hideki Suzuki beat Yoshiki Inamura & Kinya Okada. Suzuki beat Okada with Robinson Special.

Match 2: NOSAWA Rongai, Eita & Kotaro Suzuki beat Extreme Tiger, Haoh & Alejandro. Eita pinned Alejandro after Trauma.

Match 3: Tadasuke, Hajime Ohara & Hi69 beat Simon Gotch, HAYATA & Kai Fujimura. Ohara pinned Fujimura after Muy Bien.

Match 4: Timothy Thatcher beat Shuhei Taniguchi by submission.

Match 5: Kenoh, Katsuhiko Nakajima & Manabu Soya beat Takashi Sugiura, Rene Dupree & Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. Nakajima pinned Dupree after Vertical Spike.

Match 6: Daisuke Harada, Atsushi Kotoge & YO-HEY beat Open The Triangle Gate Champions Yoshinari Ogawa, Seiki Yoshioka & Yuya Susumu to win the titles. Harada, Kotoge & YO-HEY become the 80th Open The Triangle Gate Champions. Harada pinned Yoshioka with Katayama German.

Main Event: Satoshi Kojima, Masato Tanaka, Masaaki Mochizuki & Daiki Inaba beat Go Shiozaki, Kaito Kiyomiya, Michael Elgin & Masa Kitamiya. Kojima pinned Shiozaki after a Western lariat.

Next up is CyberFight Festival ’22 Sunday at Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, with Shiozaki-Kojima for the GHC Heavyweight Championship as the main event. The next event after that is 6/19 at Kobe Sambo Hall on Kobe. There will be mo live broadcast

In post-event news, 2 title matches have been announced for the next N INNOVATION on 6/23: GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion HAYATA vs. Hajime Ohara for the title and NEW Open The Triangle Gate Champions Daisuke Harada, Atsushi Kotoge & YO-HEY vs. NOSAWA Rongai, Eita & Kotaro Suzuki for the titles. Anticipate another title change here because these are Dragon Gate titles and Eita is based there.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. The live broadcast was available only on ABEMA in Japan.

Match 2: Mohammed Yone & Akitoshi Saito beat Shuhei Taniguchi & Kai Fujimura. Saito pinned Fujimura after Sickle Of Death.

Match 8: Masato Tanaka, Masaaki Mochizuki & Simon Gotch beat Kenoh, Masakatsu Funaki & Katsuhiko Nakajima. Tanaka pinned Funaki.

Main Event: Takashi Sugiura, Hideki Suzuki, Rene Dupree, Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. & Timothy Thatcher beat Go Shiozaki, Kaito Kiyomiya, Michael Elgin, Masa Kitamiya & Yoshiki Inamura. Thatcher beat Inamura with a Fujiwara armbar.

The second event is tomorrow. 2 late changes were announced for tomorrow: TBA in the 4th match, who may also be added to CyberFight Festival, is Thatcher, and Ogawa/Yoshioka/Susumu vs. Kotoge/Harada/YO-HEY is now for the Open The Triangle Gate Championship. Live streaming of the event is ABEMA ONLY, but it will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE afterwards.

GHC National Champion Masakatsu Funaki vs. Masato Tanaka for the title and Kazushi Sakuraba vs. Simon Gotch have been announced for 6/19 at Kobe Sambo Hall in Kobe. This event will be taped for on demand broadcast at a later date (no live broadcast).

Announced for the next N INNOVATION on 6/23 at Shinjuku Face is Haoh vs. Tadasuke in a Loser Expulsion Match-the loser must leave NOAH.

Pro Wrestling NOAH began the SUNNY VOYAGE 2022 Tour, a short 2-event series that is part of several short series that make up the June schedule around next weekend’s CyberFight Festival ’22.

Today’s event was held at Aore Nagaoka in Niigata and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Wednesday at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 273.

Match 1: Haoh beat Kai Fujimura.

Match 2: Rene Dupree beat Kinya Okada.

Match 3: Seiki Yoshioka & Yuya Susumu beat NOSAWA Rongai & Kotaro Suzuki. Yoshioka pinned Suzuki after a buzzsaw kick.

Tuesday features a title match for the Open The Triangle Gate Championship, the 6-man tag team title of Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling. Both events will be ABEMA-only live broadcasts and will not be available live outside of Japan. The next live WRESTLE UNIVERSE event is CyberFight Festival ’22 next Sunday.

Pro Wrestling NOAH ran a NOAH SANCTUARY event today, the latest in their occasional series of fan-centered events, which served as both build towards CyberFIght Festival ’22 with DDT participation and also as a farewell-for-now for Junta Miyawaki, who is heading off on an overseas training excursion.

Today’s event was held at Club Citta Kawasaki aka Noah Special Arena in Kawasaki, Japan and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The announced paid attendance was 162, which was a legit advance sellout.

Match 1: Yoshiki Inamura vs. Kazusada Higuchi (DDT) went to a 15 minute time limit draw.

Match 2: YO-HEY & Extreme Tiger beat Haoh & Alejandro. YO-HEY pinned Haoh with YO-ROLL.

Match 3: Michael Elgin & Masa Kitamiya beat Simon Gotch & Kinya Okada. Elgin pinned Okada after Elgin Bomb.

Match 4: Junta Miyawaki Send-Off Match-Kaito Kiyomiya beat Junya Miyawaki.

Match 5: Daisuke Sasaki, MJ Pawl & KANON (DDT) beat Kenoh, Hajime Ohara & Hi69. Sasaki beat Hi69 with a Mystica crossface.

Main Event: Satoshi Kojima (New Japan), Mohammed Yone & Atsushi Kotoge beat Go Shiozaki, Shuhei Taniguchi & Daisuke Harada. Kojims pinned Taniguchi after a Western Lariat. This was to have been Kojima, Naomichi Marufuji & Kotoge vs. Shiozaki, Taniguchi & Harada but Marufuji was removed a couple days ago due to knee pain. Yone was the replacement.

The next event is the SUNNY VOYAGE 2022 Tour opener Sunday at Aore Nagaoka in Niigata. There is no live broadcast scheduled but it will be on demand at a later date. There are no live broadcasts scheduled again until after CyberFight Festical ’22 (there are 2 Korakuen Hall events next week on Tuesday & Wednesday but both are ABEMA-only live streams, the next live broadcast excluding CyberFight Festival will not be until 6/22).
