Stardom News: Goddess Tag League Field Announced (Updated x2)

A busy day for Stardom continued with their own presser alongside New Japan’s (Syuri & Saya Kamitani were there as they’ll be at Tokyo Dome on 1/4), this one to announce the field for the Goddess Of Stardom Tag League tournament beginning this weekend. It’s a 16-team field divided into 2 blocks of 8 in a round-robin format. The top 3 teams on each block advance with the winners of each block going to the Semifinals and 2nd & 3rd place going to elimination matches. All matches will have a 15 minute time limit except the Semifinals and Finals which will be no time limit.

The full field:
Red Block: Natsuko Tora & Ruaka (current Goddesses Of Stardom Champions), Natsupoi & Saori Anou, Yuna Mizumori & Mei Seira, Hina & Ranna Yagami, Waka Tsukiyama & Rian, Bozilla & Akira Kirogame, Hazuki & Koguma, Sareee & Miku Kanae
Blue Block: Saya Iida & Bea Priestley, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara (current New Blood Tag Tram Champions), Syuri & Saki Kashima, Ami Sohrei & Lady C, HANAKO & TBA (will be revealed at first match time on 11/7 per HANAKO), AZM & Miyu Amasaki, Suzu Suzuki & Rina Yamashita, Konami & Rina.

Only real notable name missing from the field is Hanan but I think she’s injured. Also understandably no Saya Kamitani & Momo Watanabe nor rookies outside of Kurogame.

The tournament begins Saturday and prelim matches run the rest of the month. The eventual tournament winners will likely get a Goddesses Of Stardom Championship match, probably at the year-end blowout event, unless Tora & Ruaka win.

UPDATE: Tokyo Sports reports Kamitani not being in the tournament could be “politics” as it’s the promotion’s decision. but also because Watanabe will miss the tournament due to a knee injury apparently suffered yesterday. Kamitani’s next World Of Stardom Championship defense was also announced-12/29 vs. Saori Anou. That means Kamitani’s reign will reach exactly one year…but recent history is bad for her as the last few years have seen title changes on that date, including Kamitani beating Tam Nakano last year. They also want to try and keep her healthy for that and Tokyo Dome on 1/4 when she will face Syuri for both the IWGP and STROMG Women’s Championships, meaning 12/29 is not a double title match.

UPDATE 2: It has been announced that Hazuki & Koguma are now out of the tournament. Various unspecified circumstances. Teotleco & Osita, a team from Mexico, are the replacements.

Stardom 11/3/25 Results (Updated x3)

STARDOM CRIMSON NIGHTMARE 2025, the promotion’s latest blowout event today full of H.A.T.E., is in the books.

Today’s event was held at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World. It will be un-paywalled for monthly paying subscribers in a week or so. You can also watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced.

Match 1: Rian beat Ranna Yagami, Kikyo Furusawa & Fukigen in a 4-way by pinning Fukigen.

Match 2: Natsupoi, Saori Anou, Yuna Mizumori, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara beat Syuri, Lady C, Ami Sohrei, Hina & Kiyoka Kokatsu and Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki, Akira Kurogame and Ema Maishima in a 3-way when Anou pinned Sohrei.

Match 3: AZM & Miyu Amasaki beat Waka Tsukiyama & HABAKO. AZM pinned Tsukiyama after Azumi Sushi.

Match 4: Saya Iida, Momo Kohgo & Bea Priestley beat Natusko Tora, Ruaka & Rina. Priestley pinned Rina after Plan Bea.

Match 5: Bozilla beat Saki Kashima by submission/giving up.

Match 6: High Speed Champion Mei Seira beat Hazuki to retain the title. V9 for Seira. Based on this and a prior result, they may have done away with Seira’s new rules for title matches (3 falls in 10 minute time limit) and reverted to the prior rules (1 fall in 15 minute time limit).

Match 7: Konami beat Wonder Of Stardom Champion Starlight Kid to win the title. Konami becomes the 25th Wonder Of Stardom Champion. Which means, not counting the New Blood-specific titles, all the Stardom titles are now held by the heel faction. Embrace The H.A.T.E.

Main Event: World Of Stardom Champion & STRONG Women’s Champion Saya Kamitani beat Momo Watanabe to retain the titles. World V7 & STRONG V1 for Kamitani. The reign of our PHENEX QUEEN continues. It sounds like she is headed to her Tokyo Dome debut with New Japan on 1/4 with both titles. I am very excited for that potentially happening.

The next event is Friday at Korakuen Hall to kick off the 15th Goddess Of Stardom Tournament, the promotion’s annual tag team tournament. Broadcast plans TBA, it will be live on Stardom World but it may be another PPV.

UPDATE: Risa Sera also appeared during the event and requested Suzu Suzuki be her opponent for her retirement match on 1/12. Nothing definite yet.

UPDATE 2: The participating tournament teams will be announced at a press conference tomorrow at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET, which can be watched FOR FREE on YouTube.

And while mot yet official, New Japan suggests the opponent for Kamitani on 1/4 at Tokyo Done could be Syuri and it could be for the IWGP Women’s Championship and STRONG Women’s Championship. We may know soon as a 1/4 presser is scheduled for tonight at 9 PM PT/midnight ET. It can be watched FOR FREE on New Japan World and YouTube.

UPDATE 3: It’s now official. It will be for both the IWGP & STRONG Women’s Championships but, at this time, not the World Of Stardom Championship if Kamitani is still champion.

Stardom 11/1/25 LIVE Results

Stardom begins their November schedule today with the last event before their next major PPV on Monday, and it’s all about tag teams. Since that’s the focus of the PPV main event the likely feature match is all about H.A.T.E. as the faction’s 8 members will be on opposite sides when Saya Kamitani & Momo Watanabe face off for the last time before Kamitani defends both the World Of Stardom and STRONG Women’s Championships against Watanabe, who earned her chance at the title by winning this year’s 5STAR GP. And the Goddesses Of Stardom Champions-Natsuko Tora & Ruaka-are also foes so clearly Kamitani’s favorite boss (it’s not Hiroshi Tanahashi) may have a scheme in the works…

Today’s event will be held at TKP Garden City Chiba in Chiba and, thanks to an “Emergency decision” earlier today, can be watched LIVE FOR FREE on YouTube. There likely will be no commentary. There are 6 matches scheduled which is less than usual, and factoring in an intermission and perhaps a time limit draw or two I’ll predict a total running time of about 2 1/2 hours. And if we’re lucky baseball will finish before this event begins (World Series Game 6, where a lot of Japanese fans will want LA to Shohei The Way to a Game 7 at Toronto tomorrow. I like Ohtani a lot but due to being a Dodgers hater living in other parts of California I have to root for Toronto to finish it tonight).

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Staright Kid & Mei Seira vs. Ema Maishima & Kikyo Furusawa
Saori Anou, Sayaka Kurara & Yuna Mizumori vs. Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian
Natsupoi & Aya Sakura vs. Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo
AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Ranna Yagami & Kiyoka Kokatsu
Hina, Tomoka Inaba, Lady C, Ami Sohrei & Saki Kashima vs. Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki, Bozilla, Suzu Suzuki & Akira Kurogame
Saya Kamitani, Natsuko Tora, Konami & Azusa Inaba vs. Momo Watanabe, Ruaka, Rina & Fukigen

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 9 PM PT/midnight ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin at that time.

8:55 PM PT UPDATE: The live stream has begun in pre-show mode. We should be going to the venue in about 5 minutes.

9 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from TKP Garden City Chiba in Chiba, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance should be announced after the event. The setup I’ve seen so far looks full, it’s a small venue (I think capacity is in the 500-600 range) but for the layout it looks like a good crowd. If they announce the number afterwards I’ll predict it’ll be close to 500. I only saw a few empty seats. (UPDATE: The paid attendance was not announced)

The match order is announced first, the all-H.A.T.E. 8-woman tag match is today’s main event. Then right to the action.

The matches begin at 9:03 PM PT/12:03 AM ET.

Match 1: Starlight Kid & Mei Seira vs. Ema Maishima & Kikyo Furusawa. 20 minute time limit
Result: Starlight Kid & Mei Seira beat Ema Maishima & Kikyo Furusawwa. Kid beat Maishima with Black Tiger Leg Murder. As the winners were about to leave, Konami appeared and attacked Kid & Seira with a chair. After forcing Kid back into the ring, Konami with microphone. One final message sent ahead of Monday when Konami faces Kid for the Wonder Of Stardom Championship.

Match 2: Saori Anou, Sayaka Kurara & Yuna Mizumori vs. Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian. 20 minute time limit
Result: Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian beat Saori Anou, Sayaka Kurara & Yuna Mizumori. HANAKO pinned Mizumori after JP Coaster. Afterwards, Rian grabbed Kurara’s newly-won New Blood Tag Team Championship belt and ran off with it. Hints of what’s to come?

Match 3: AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Ranna Yagami & Kiyoka Kokatsu. 20 minute time limit
Result: AZM & Miyu Amasaki beat Ranna Yagami & Kiyoka Kokatsu. AZM pinned Kokatsu after a diving foot stomp.

Match 4: Natsupoi & Aya Sakura vs. Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo. 20 minute time limit
Result: Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo beat Natsupoi & Aya Sakura. Iida pinned Sakura after a vertical drop brainbuster.

Intermission.

The matches resume at 10:27 PM PT/1:27 AM ET (11 minute break).

Match 5: Hina, Tomoka Inaba, Lady C, Ami Sohrei & Saki Kashima vs. Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki, Bozilla, Suzu Suzuki & Akira Kurogame. 20 minute time limit
Result: Hina, Tomoka Inaba, Lady C, Ami Sohrei & Saki Kashima beat Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki, Bozilla, Suzu Suzuki & Akira Kurogame. Hina pinned Kurogame after a jackhammer. Almost went the time limit, otherwise mostly was about Kashima being scared of and trying to avoid the massive Bozilla. Afterwards, Kashima with microphone. She taunted Bozilla in English while hilariously hiding behind all of them. But she can only hide until Monday as Bozilla noted.

Main Event: Saya Kamitani, Natsuko Tora, Konami & Azusa Inaba vs. Momo Watanabe, Ruaka, Rina & Fukigen. 20 minute time limit
Result: Time Limit Draw

The next event is STARDOM CRIMSON NIGHTMARE 2025 Monday at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo. Live streaming on Stardom World as a PPV will begin Sunday at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET.
