Stardom continued the 5STAR GP today with Red Block matches.

Today’s event was held at Okayama Convention Center 3rd Floor Hall in Okayama and can be watched on demand on Stardom World. You can also watch the first 2 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 618, a legit advance sellout.

All matches were 5STAR GP Red Block matches with one exception.

Match 1: Block B: AZM beat Rian.

Match 2: Block A: Yuna Mizumori beat Waka Tsukiyama.

Match 3: Block A: Azusa Inaba beat Mei Seira.

Match 4: Blue Block A: Ruaka beat Aya Sakura. This was rescheduled from earlier in the tournament when Ruaka had to miss an event and, although originally declared a forfeit win for Sakura, Sakura requested the match be rescheduled instead. She may regret it now.

Match 5: Block A: Hanan beat Lady C.

Match 6: Block B: Tomoka Inaba beat Sayaka Kurara.

Match 7: Block B: Natsupoi beat Rina.

Main Event: Block B: Starlight Kid beat Natsuko Tora.

Elsewhere, in Pro Wrestling WAVE today the current reign of Regina di WAVE Champion Saya Kamitani ended as she lost to Cohaku, ending her run at 5 successful defenses. Cohaku won the title and becomes the 23rd Champion.

Match 2: Block B: Konami beat Momo Kohgo by submission.

Match 5: Block B: Ranna Yagami beat Hina.

Standings-wise, Sohrei & Bozilla are tied for the Block A lead, but Sohrei has a 4-1 record while Bozilla has 2 draws with 3 wins, but both are at 8 points. Their 8/17 match could decide the block winner. Anou is 3rd at 3-1-1, 7 points. Iida & Sakura are at 4 points but Iida has 3 matches left while Sakura has 4 so both still are in it. Ruaka has 3 points with 3 matches left so her hopes are now slim but not zero, while Amasaki is in a smilar place at 1-3, 2 points with 3 matches left. Hime is OUT with no points and 3 matches left. In Block B, despite her first loss today Watanabe remains the leader at 4-1, 8 points followed by HANAKO at 3-0-1, 7 points and Suzuki at 2-1-2, 6 points. Sareee is 2-1-1, 5 points followed by Konami & Yagami at 2-3, 4 points. Hina is 1-3, 2 points but is now all but out due to tiebreakers (she’s only beaten Konami) and her only hope is to beat HANAKO & Watanabe as well as Kohgo, is winless and OUT at 0-4, 0 points due to tiebreakers.

The top 3 in each block advance to the Quarterfinals.

Today’s event was held at Big Palette Fukushima in Fukushima and can be watched on demand on Stardom World.

The announced paid attendance was 384.

There was a last-minute change to the card due to Ruaka being pulled off the event. The always-vague poor health. She was to have faced Aya Sakura. As a result, Sakura gets a forfeit win. A tag match with Sakura and the non-tournament rookies was added.

Match 1: Aya Sakura & Kikyo Furusawa beat Akira Kurogame & Emi Maishima. Sakura pinned Maishima.

Stardom ran day 2 of the 5STAR GP today despite the host area being under tsunami warnings following a massive 8.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of Russia.

Today’s event was held at Morioka Gym in Iwate and can be watched on demand on Stardom World.

The announced paid attendance was 448. It sounds like the promotion will offer refunds to those who could not attend due to tsunami-related evacuations or transportation issues.

Stardom kicked off the 2025 5STAR GP Tournament today, the annual major single tournament which hopefully will be free of the massive controversy that engulfed last year’s tournament where, despite going winless, Tam Nakano still got a World Of Stardom Championship shot and won the title ending Natsuko Tora’s first reign after only a couple weeks, thus screwing winner Saya Kamitani who even went to far as to complain to pseudo-boss Hiroshi Tanahashi (now President of New Japan, which owns Stardom) although in the end she got her chance, won the title and ended Nakano’s career. This year’s tournament is the largest to date with 32 total participants.

Today’s event was held at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World for 4400 Japanese yen (around $30 US). It will be un-paywalled for monthly Stardom World subscribers at a later date, hopefully next weekend (the earliest will be Friday). You can also watch the first 4 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.
