Stardom 5/31/25 Results

Stardom wrapped up May with a special standalone event today celebrating the 10th anniversary of the debuts of Natsupoi & Saori Anou, which they largely put together.

Today’s event was held at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World for 4620 Japanese yen (around $32 US) for the next week. It should be available without additional purchase shortly after that for monthly paying Stardom World subscribers.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 2387)

There was a last-minute change to the event due to Suzu Suzuki being pulled off the event. The always-vague poor health. She was to have been in a battle royal. There was no replacement announced.

There was an Actress Girls segment and match pre-show.

Match 1: Tae Honma & Yuna Manase beat Yuki Harima & Seika Ozaki. Honma pinned Harina after A New Era.

Match 2: Yumiko Hotta & Miku Kano beat Kaoru Ito & Rian. Kano pinned Rian.

Match 3: Shin Saori Anou won an 11 woman battle royal, last eliminating Kakeru Sekiguchi. Other entrants: Rina Amikura, Yuko Sakurai, AKINO, Sonoko Kato, Ryo Mizunami, Hiroyo Matsumoto, Salvation Ninja Ranmaru (?), Shin Natsupoi. One of the Shin women almost certainly was Sakura Hirota. This originally was to have been a 10 woman battle royal which became 9 without Suzuki. The Shin Anou & Shin Natsupoi adds were a surprise and unexpected.

Match 4: Mayumi Ozaki beat Sayaka Kurara.

Match 5: SAKI beat Yuna Mizumori.

Match 6: Starlight Kid & AZM vs. Hanan & Saya Iida went to a 15 minute time limit draw.

The next event is NEW BLOOD 22 Wednesday at Tokyo Square in Tokyo headlined by a New Blood Tag Team Championship match. Live streaming FOR FREE only on YouTube will begin at 3 AM PT/6 AM ET. It will also be available on demand for free immediately after the event ends. There will be no live or on demand broadcast on Stardom World.

Stardom 5/24/25 LIVE Results

Stardom heads to Osaka to start their event weekend today, headlined by an Artist Of Stardom Championship match. Originally the challenger team was to be determined by a tournament final held Wednesday in Tokyo, but it ended in a double countout. So of course the champs did what champs would do and played the Just Bring It card, meaning it’s a 3-way. And the promotion has now announced it will be a 3-way elimination match with over the top rope rules in effect. Last team left wins. Neo Genesis will have their hands full with H.A.T.E. and Suzu Suzuki’s new Mi Vida Loca faction for sure.

Today’s event will be held at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka and can be watched LIVE on Stardom World. You will also be able to watch the entire event FOR FREE on YouTube. There will be no commentary. There are 6 matches scheduled and all but the main event will have 15-20 minute time limits, so factoring in the usual intermission at some point the event will probably run about 2 1/4 hours.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Hanan, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo vs. Hina, Tomoka Inaba & Kikyo Furusawa
Mei Seira vs. Yuria Hime
Hazuki, Koguma & Akira Kurogame vs. Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara & Ema Maishima
Syuri, Saki Kashima, Lady C & Ranna Yagami vs. Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani, Azusa Inaba & Fukigen
Natsupoi, Saori Anou & Yuna Mizumori vs. Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian
Artist Of Stardom Champions Starlight Kid, AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita & Itsuki Aoki and Konami, Ruaka & Rina in a 3-way elimination match for the titles. Over the top rope elimination rules in effect

Updates below will begin at 9 PM PT/midnight ET.

The YouTube stream began a couple minutes early in pre-show mode.

9 PM PT UPDATE; Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka, Japan. There is no commentary. I am watching on YouTube. There is a little brief stuttering/freezing at times, maybe because I’m also watching in 1080p/60fps.

The paid attendance should be announced after the event. The setup is on the small side for the venue but looks to be mostly full (not a legit sellout but I’d say around 90% full). It’ll depend on the setup but I’m guessing it’ll be around 650. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 604)

The matches begin right after the opening intro and card rundown.

Match 1: Hanan, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo vs. Hina, Tomoka Inaba & Kikyo Furusawa. 20 minute time limit
Result: Hanan, Saya Iida & Momo Kohgo beat Hina, Tomoka Inaba & Kikyo Furusawa. Kohgo pinned Furusawa with a Northern Lights suplex hold.

Match 2: Mei Seira vs. Yuria Hime. 15 minute time limit
Result: Mei Seira beat Yuria Hime

Match 3: Hazuki, Koguma & Akira Kurogame vs. Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara & Ema Maishima. 20 minute time limit
Result: Hazuki, Koguma & Akira Kurogame beat Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara & Ema Maishima. Koguma beat Maishima with a rear naked choke.

Match 4: Syuri, Saki Kashima, Lady C & Ranna Yagami vs. Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani, Azusa Inaba & Fukigen. 20 minute time limit
Result: Syuri, Saki Kashima, Lady C & Ranna Yagami beat Natsuko Tora, Saya Kamitani, Azusa Inaba & Fukigen. C pinned Fukigen after a chokeslam.

Intermission.

The matches resume at 10:26 PM PT/1:26 AM ET (just under a 15 minute break).

Match 5: Natsupoi, Saori Anou & Yuna Mizumori vs. Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian. 20 minute time limit
Result: Natsupoi, Saori Anou & Yuna Mizumori beat Waka Tsukiyama, HANAKO & Rian. Anou pinned Rian with a German suplex hold. Afterwards, Anou with microphone. Brief comments directed at Rian, who still wanted to fight. Could be the start of the build to a match between them. Natsupoi with microphone then. Rian was more cordial to her. Background music came on before Natsupoi finished her promo, probably comments related to the 10th Anniversary event for Anou & Natsupoi coming up next weekend (PPV of course).

Main Event: Artist Of Stardom Champions Starlight Kid, AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita & Itsuki Aoki and Konami, Ruaka & Rina in a 3-way elimination match for the titles. Over the top rope elimination rules in effect as well as what they call the no-touch rules. A team is only eliminated when all 3 members are eliminated/ 30 minute time limit
Result: Artist Of Stardom Champions Starlight Kid, AZM & Miyu Amasaki beat Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita & Itsuki Aoki and Konami, Ruaka & Rina in a 3-way elimination match to retain the titles. Order of elimination: Konami by AZM (pinfall), AZM by Aoki (pinfall), Aoki by Rina (pinfall), Rina & Yamashita by Amasaki & Kid (over the top rope), Kid by Suzuki (over the top rope), Suzuki by Ruaka (over the top rope. Mi Vida Loca eliminated), Ruaka by Amasaki (pinfall. H.A.T.E. eliminated). Neo Genesis wins with Amasaki left. V2 for the champs.

The next event is tomorrow at Kyoto KBS Hall in Kyoto. Live streaming on Stardom World will begin at 9 PM PT/midnight ET.

FREE VIDEO: Stardom 4/27/25 Main Event (Full Match)

It was truly the end of an era for Stardom at their 4/27/25 STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2025 PPV. Not only did their “icon” Mayu Iwatani leave the promotion after what would be her last match in the promotion (she followed old boss Rossy Ogawa to Marigold), but the career of Tam Nakano came to an end after she lost to Saya Kamitani in the main event where the winner would be World Of Stardom Champion and the loser had to retire. You almost couldn’t write a more emotional ending than they did. And if you haven’t seen it yet or don’t have Stardom World, you can now watch the full main event and the post-match farewell to Nakano (and it’s very emotional indeed between the two rivals) FOR FREE on YouTube or below (the video starts at the beginning of Nakano’s entrance, this version has Japanese commentary with Haruo Murata & Ami Sohrei):

Stardom 4/29/25 Results

After a massive roster shakeup following Sunday’s biggest event of the year that has seen Thekla fired, Tam Nakano forced to retire (at the very least she is done with Stardom) and Mayu Iwatani leave the promotion, Stardom tried to move on today with their first Golden Week Tour event .

Today’s event was held at Fukuyama Big Rose in Hiroshima and can be watched on demand on Stardom World. Broadcast plans were TBA as of Sunday but today wound up being a live broadcast.

Stardom 4/27/25 Results (Updated x2)

STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2025, the promotion’s biggest event of the year, is now in the books.

Today’s event was held at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World in Japanese and English until 5/4 for 4400 Japanese yen (around $30 US). You can also watch the first 2 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 7503. That’s probably around 60% full based on the setup-the venue’s normal full capacity is 17,000 but about 1/3 was blocked off under the setup so a legit sellout would have been in the 11,000-12,000 range.

There were last-minute changes to the card due to Konami being pulled off the event. The always-vague poor health. There’s really been an issue across Japanese promotions the last couple months. Kinda worrisome for me as I will be in Japan for the first time in a week.

Pre-show match: HANAKO won a 15 woman battle royal, last eliminating Miyu Amasaki. As a result, HANAKO will get a chance at a management title in Stardom.

Match 1: Future Of Stardom Champion Hina beat Ranna Yagami to retain the title. V2 for Hina.

Match 2: Sayaka Kurara beat Thekla. As a result, Thekla must join Cosmic Angels. Had Thekla won, she would have gotten a match with President Taro Okada. Lucky Okada.

Match 3: Yumiko Hotta (Independent/Freelancer) beat Rina by submission.

Match 4: Meiko Satomura, Mika Iwata & YUNA (Sendai Girls) beat Natsupoi, Saori Anou & Aya Sakura. Satomura pinned Sakura after Satomura Special.

Match 5: In a No DQ match, Suzu Suzuki beat Mei Seira.

Match 6: Sendai Girls World Champion Chihiro Hashimoto beat Maika to retain the title. V1 for Hashimoto.

Match 7: Goddesses Of Stardom Champions Hanan & Saya Iida beat Hazuki & Koguma to retain the titles. Hanan pinned Hazuki with a backdrop hold. V3 for the champs.

Match 8: Syuri beat IWGP Women’s Champion Mayu Iwatani to win the title. Syuri becomes the 4th IWGP Women’s Champion. This is UPSET ALERT!!! just because it ends what will probably be the most dominant reign even though it was only the third as Iwatani held the title for 2 years with 9 successful defenses. Who really might be upset now, pun intended, is Sareee. Possibly next for a title shot, it was made clear in the Japanese media recently she wanted to challenge Iwatani for the belt after this. Not happening.

Match 9: Wonder Of Stardom Champion Starlight Kid beat AZM to retain the title.V3 for Kid. As a result, Kid is now the “official” leader of Neo Genesis.

Main Event: In a Loser Complete Retirement Match, World Of Stardom Champion Saya Kamitani beat Tam Nakano to retain the title. V2 for Kamitani. As a result, Nakano must retire. The best possible outcome after this last year which made me just about give up on Stardom because of how Nakano was treated during and after the 2024 5STAR GP after coming back from injury. This is redemption. Tam Road is over, dead and buried. LONG LIVE THE PHENEX QUEEN! If you also believe what some media outlets said, Nakano’s retirement may not be permanent-there were hints that longtime wrestler Shinobu Kandori, also the owner and promoter of the (very small) LLPW-X promotion, was interested in signing Nakano if this happened. Stay tuned…until then, a new era in Stardom begins now. Embrace The H.A.T.E.

The next event is Tuesday at Fukuyama Big Rose in Hiroshima. Broadcast plans TBA.

UPDATE: Thekla will not be joining Cosmic Angels. Her contract has been terminated due to not paying a fine from her December suspension and staff assaults yesterday.

Next up for Kamitani: Kurara. That match will happen on 5/11 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

UPDATE 2: It gets even worse for Stardom…now Mayu Iwatani has left the promotion effective today (4/28). She had spent her entire career with the promotion but now that she no longer has the IWGP Women’s Championship she is moving on.

The next event is STARDOM GRAND QUEENDOM 2025, likely their biggest event of the year, Sunday at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama. It also will mean the ens for either Nakano & Kamitani as the loser of their World Of Stardom Championship match must retire. Live streaming on Stardom World as a PPV for 4400 Japanese yen (around $30 US) will begin Saturday at 11 PM PT/2 AM ET.

UPDATE: Many 4/27 updates coming out of this event:
Natsuko Tora is now off. The always-vague poor health again.
Added last-minute to 4/27 is Sayaka Kurara vs. Thekla. If Kurara wins, Thekla must join Cosmic Angels. But if Thekla wins, she gets a match against President Taro Okada.
The Mei Seira vs. Suzu Suzuki NON-TITLE match will now be a No DQ match. Suzuki has also formed her own faction called Mi Vida Loca with Rina Yamashita, Itsuki Aoki and, after she asked to join them, Akira Kurogame.

Japanese comedians Razro Ramon HG & RG have been added to the PPV as guests on Japanese commentary along with Hollywood Zakishisho and Ami Sohrei. Waka Tsukiyama will be a guest on English commentary.

Injury Report: H.A.T.E. Being Sick

Stardom has announced some late changes to tomorrow’s Korakuen Hall event, the last one before their biggest event of the year Sunday, because Natsuko Tora is now off. The always vague poor health. She was to have teamed with Ruaka, Konami & Thekla to face Natispoi, Saori Anou, Aya Sakura & Sayaka Kurara. Momo Watanabe is the replacement, but Watanabe was to have been in a 6-woman tag match. Fukigen is the replacement there, but was to have faced Momo Kohgo & Yuria Hime in a 3-way. That’s now a single match.
