Stardom continued the 5STAR GP today in Fukushima with Blue Block matches.

Today’s event was held at Big Palette Fukushima in Fukushima and can be watched on demand on Stardom World.

The announced paid attendance was 384.

There was a last-minute change to the card due to Ruaka being pulled off the event. The always-vague poor health. She was to have faced Aya Sakura. As a result, Sakura gets a forfeit win. A tag match with Sakura and the non-tournament rookies was added.

8/2/25 UPDATE: At the request of Sakura, her match against Ruaka has been RESCHEDULED and is no longer a forfeit win, thus she gives up the 2 points. That match will now happen on 8/10.

Stardom 7/30/25 Results

Stardom ran day 2 of the 5STAR GP today despite the host area being under tsunami warnings following a massive 8.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of Russia.

Today’s event was held at Morioka Gym in Iwate and can be watched on demand on Stardom World.

The announced paid attendance was 448. It sounds like the promotion will offer refunds to those who could not attend due to tsunami-related evacuations or transportation issues.

All matches were 5STAR GP Red Blocks matches.

Stardom 7/27/25 Results

Stardom kicked off the 2025 5STAR GP Tournament today, the annual major single tournament which hopefully will be free of the massive controversy that engulfed last year’s tournament where, despite going winless, Tam Nakano still got a World Of Stardom Championship shot and won the title ending Natsuko Tora’s first reign after only a couple weeks, thus screwing winner Saya Kamitani who even went to far as to complain to pseudo-boss Hiroshi Tanahashi (now President of New Japan, which owns Stardom) although in the end she got her chance, won the title and ended Nakano’s career. This year’s tournament is the largest to date with 32 total participants.

Today’s event was held at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo and can be watched on demand as a PPV on Stardom World for 4400 Japanese yen (around $30 US). It will be un-paywalled for monthly Stardom World subscribers at a later date, hopefully next weekend (the earliest will be Friday). You can also watch the first 4 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 1783.

The next event is the 5STAR GP Tournament, the promotion’s annual single tournament, starting Sunday at Ota City General Gym. Live streaming as a PPV on Stardom World will begin midnight PT/3 AM ET. STARDOM SAPPORO RENDEZVOUS 2025, Stardom’s monthly major/blowout event, was held today.

Match 1: Rian beat Ema Maishima.

Match 2: Future Of Stardom Champion Hina beat Sayaka Kurara to retain the title. V5 for Hina. If she keeps this up she could make a run at the defense record held by…little sister Rina. Imagine that! Long way to go though.

Match 3: Yuria Hime beat Akira Kurogame. As a result, Hime gets into the 5STAR GP.

Match 4: Suzu Suzuki, Rina Yamashita & Bozilla beat AZM, Miyu Amasaki & Mei Seira. Bozilla pinned Amasaki after a piledriver.

Stardom continues their early July schedule and build to this year’s 5STAR GP, the field for which was announced earlier today, with an event in Tokyo. Below are NEAR LIVE results which will be updated as they become available.

There were last-minute changes to the event due to Rina being pulled off the card. Potential concussion suffered Friday at the NEW BLOOD event. Out indefinitely. She was to have challenged for the Artist Of Stardom Championship in the main event. That match is now off and no title defense.

Pre-show match: Momo Kohgo beat Kikyo Furusawa.
After this match there was a contract signing for the next Future Of Stardom Championship match which will be Hina defending against Akira Kurogame. That match is later today.

Stardom News: 5STAR GP 2025 Field Announced

At a press conference earlier today, Stardom announced the entire field for the 2025 5STAR GP, the promotion’s signature annual tournament. This year it’s a massive field of 32 divided into 4 blocks, which are as follows:
Red A: Saya Kamitani, Lady C, Mei Seira, Waka Tsukiyama, Azusa Inaba, Hanan, Yuna Mizumori, Bea Priestley (most recently was Blair Davenport in WWE)
Red B: Starlight Kid, Tomoka Inaba, Rian, Rina*, AZM, Natsuko Tora, Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurara
Blue A: Saya Iida, Saori Anou, Miyu Amasaki, Ami Sohrei, Aya Sakura, Bozilla, Ruaka, TBA**
Blue B: Momo Kohgo, Momo Watanabe, Sareee, Konami, Hina, Suzu Suzuki, HANAKO, Ranna Yagami
*-Subject to change due to injury suffered yesterday
**-Will be Yuria Hime or Akira Kurogame via determination match on TBA.

The tournament is round-robin format, 15 minute time limit for all matches. 2 points for win, 1 point for draw, 0 points for loss. The top 3 in each block will advance with the winner of each block going directly to the Quarterfinals and the other 2 going into elimination matches. Tiebreakers likely will be head-to-head results.

The tournament starts on 7/27 and ends on 8/23. Those two events will be PPVs and all other events will be live on Stardom World.
