Tokyo Joshi Pro 12/29/24 Results (Updated)

Tokyo Joshi Pro wrapped up their 2024 today with their year-end “TJPW Year-End Party 2024” event, which primarily was about special matches focusing on fun and ending the year on a high note.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese.

The announced paid attendance was 720.

During the opening announcements, events for 3/39 & 3/30 were announced to coincide with Yuki Arai’s final performances as a member of SKE48 (now that she’s past age 25 apparently she’s too old for the group and has outgrown them so it’s time to move on). 3/30 may feature an SKE48 performance. Arai’s last day with the group will be 3/31, after that she will continue her wrestling career with TJPW which I am happy about.

Match 1: Ivy Steele beat Chika Nanase.

Match 2: What was a 5-on-5 elimination match series with 2 count falls & 5 minute time limits went like this (if time limit draws happened, matches continued with no time limits and 1 count falls):
1-Shoko Nakajima beat Yoshiko Hasegawa.
2-Nakajima beat Uta Takami.
3-Shino Suzuki beat Nakajima.
4-Suzuki beat Toga.
5-Moka Miyamoto beat Suzuki.
6-Miyamoto vs. Suzume went to a time limit draw. Which led to…
Continuation-Suzume beat Miyamoto.
7-Suzume vs. Arisu Endo went to a time limit draw. Which led to…
Continuation-Endo beat Suzume.
8-Mizuki beat Arisu Endo.
Final-Mizuki vs. Haru Kazashiro went to a time limit drae. Which led to…
Continuation-Mizuki beat Haru Kazashiro.
Mizuki/Suzume/Suzuki/Takami/Hasegawa win and receive sponsor prizes consisting of a gift card and fresh meat.

Match 3: SETUP Pro Wrestling All-Asia Women’s Champion Pom Harajuku beat Matcha to retain the title. V1 for Harajuku.

Match 4: Queen Of Asia & VPW Women’s Champion Yuki Kamifuku beat Lei Ying Lee (fka Xia Li in WWE) to retain the titles. V5 & V3 for Kamifuku, respectively.

Main Event: Miu Watanabe won a 20 person battle royal (eliminations by pinfall, submission, over the top rope), last eliminating Yuki Aino. Order of elimination: Yuna Manase, Poison Sawada JULIE, Hyper Misao, Antonio Honda, Miyu Yamashita, Kira Summer, Maki Itoh, HIMAWARI, Pocotan, Mahiro Kiryu, Wakana Uehara, Neko Haruna, Kaya Toribami, Aja Kong, Rika Tatsumi, Ryo Mizunami, Yuki Arai, Raku, Aino. As a result, Watanabe wins various sponsor prizes including 6+ pounds of mochi. It should be noted Aino was the first entrant and lasted a very impressive 37+ minutes. I believe #2 was Tatsumi. Kong & Mizunami were mystery entrants not revealed in advance. Afterwards, everyone gathered in the ring for the traditional year-end group photos.

TJPW made continued strides forward in their 11th year in 2024, including a pair of successful returns to the US, and with a US return set for WrestleMania week events in Las Vegas in April, 2025 promises bigger & better. And moat importantly, more Yuki Arai and soon the return of Wasteland Pom Party! (One of their best stories of the year as Harajuku & Max The Impaler became the best odd couple in wrestling and completely won the internet over)

The next event is “Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling ’25”, the annual year-opening blowout event and Tokyo Done morning matinee/appetizer, Saturday. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Friday at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET.

UPDATE: There has been a change to 1/4: The Shoko Nakajima-Hyper Misao match is now a Lumberjack Deathmatch with Poison Sawada JULIE as special referee. Rules TBA on event day.
