Tokyo Joshi Pro returns to Tokyo this weekend to wrap up the 9th Tokyo Princess Cup. The first half of the doubleheader is today with the Semifinals, consisting of two veterans looking to earn another shot at Shoko Nakajima with tournament victories, and two younger opponents each looking for two more big upsets and their first tournament triumph. The undercard features the TJPW debut of massive US indy wrestler Max The Impaler (poor Pom Harajuku, she might just get killed today) and some AA Eye Candy as Yuki Arai & Saki Akai will be in tag team action.
Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese and English. And if you’re looking to pass the time until the start, last weekend’s Yuki Kamifuku Hometown Event is now available on demand. I anticipate today’s event having around a 2 1/2 hour runtime. (It can’t really go past 3 hours because there is a Ganbare Pro event coming up shortly after this one finishes)
Maki Itoh will miss this weekend’s events due to being in the US for an appearance in Game Changer Wrestling, while Yuki Aino is expected to return today after missing several events due to a leg injury.
Today’s lineup:
Shoko Nakajima vs. Kaya Toribami

Rika Tatsumi vs. Mizuki & Hyper Misao in a 3-way
Saki Akai, Yuki Arai & Moka Miyamoto vs. Yuki Kamifuku, Mahiro Kiryu & Neko Haruna

After the opening announcements & Up Up Girls performance, a video recap of the Tokyo Princess Cup so far is shown before the opening card rundown.
