Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 6/18/23 Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro continues their spring house show tour today with another weekend matinee in Tokyo. It’s one more chance for the lesser-known/experienced members of the roster to get a chance to shine before the big names start coming back next week from overseas. This event also comes just 24 hours after the full SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’23 card was announced so there are 3 weeks left until their summer blowout event.
There were some late changes for this event due to Nao Kakuta having to be pulled due to injury (back) so a planned tag team match became a 3-way. Also revealed near-last-minute was no Mizuki today. Overseas excursion. Kakuta is out indefinitely but as of now is still on the 7/8 card. Mizuki should be back next week along with Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh returning from their excursions (Yamashita’s went nearly 3 months and, in terms of matches and titles won, was incredibly successful). Ganbare Pro women’s wrestler Yoshiko Hasegawa also will be part of today’s event.

Today’s event will be held at Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. This will be a longer and larger house show than usual because it has 7 matches instead of the usual 5-6 so it will run a little longer than normal, probably right about at 2 hours, give or take a minute.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA except for main event):
Moka Miyamoto vs. Runa Okubo
Hikari Noa & Haru Kazashiro vs. Mahiro Kiryu & Shino Suzuki
Miu Watanabe vs. Toga
Yuki Kamifuku vs. Wakana Uehara
Hyper Misao & Yoshiko Hasegawa vs. Raku & Pom Harajuku
Shoko Nakajima vs. Arisu Endo & Kaya Toribami in a 3-way
Rika Tatsumi & Suzume vs. Yuki Aino & HIMAWARI (main event)

8:30 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now…
We are LIVE from Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Looks like some fans still filing in at ringside but looking like average for these KFC events, so probably right around 200. (For the curious, max capacity depends on how many seats are set up around the ring but it’s 500 at most. The fixed seating capacity is approx. 350). (Post-Show Update: The announced paid attendance was 213)

The matches should begin in about 15 minutes. During opening announcements, Yoshiko Hasegawa comes out to promote Ganbare Pro’s biggest event of the year, WRESTLE SEKIGAHARA 2, on 7/9 at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo.
