Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 6/4/23 Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro continues their spring house show tour today with the last event before their monthly major event next Sunday. With the Big 3 (Miyu Yamashita, Yuka Sakazaki, Maki Itoh) all still overseas until next week and several others still out with injuries, the rest of the roster gets more of the spotlight once again although the missing wrestlers will subdue the potential next week build. Tag matches will be an emphasis today with a pair of 6-women tag matches and one tag match alongside 3 single matches.

Today’s event will be held at Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. This should be another standard weekend matinee house show with a total running time of just under 2 hours.

Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Hikari Noa, Nao Kakuta & Wakana Uehara vs. Mahiro Kiryu, Haru Kazashiro & Runa Okubo
Yuki Kamifuku vs. Toga
Moka Miyamoto vs. Shino Suzuki
Hyper Misao vs. HIMAWARI
Mizuki & Suzume vs. Shoko Nakajima & Kaya Toribami
Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Arisu Endo vs. Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku

8:26 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now…

We are LIVE from Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Looks on the small side for the venue, the ringside seats around the venue aren’t close to full and the “super seats” didn’t sell out in advance. Some fans may still be filing in but I’m going to estimate 175-200, which for these weekend events at the venue is on the low side.

The matches should begin in 15-20 minutes. During opening announcements, the first Up Up Girls solo event in over 4 years was announced. It will be next Saturday (6/10) at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and will feature 3 matches. No live broadcast.

The matches begin at 8:43 PM PT. Looks like hard camera only today.

Main Event: Rika Tatsumi, Miu Watanabe & Arisu Endo vs. Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku. 20 minute time limit
Result: Time Limit Draw

After the main event, Endo issued a challenge to Tatsumi for the International Princess Championship. But so did Aino. So it will be Aino-Endo for the next title shot on 6/11 with the winner getting to face Tatsumi, probably on 7/8 at SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’23.

The next event, not counting the Up Up Girls one announced today, is “STICK OUT ’23” on 6/11 at Korakuen Hall. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese and English will begin on 6/10 at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT.

UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 194.
