Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 9/8/24 Results (Updated)

Tokyo Joshi Pro returns to Nagoya today for “Always Be A Challenger ’24”, with the focus on both Nagoya-based SKE48 and next week’s house show in Aizawakamatsu. That’s because SKE48’s Yuki Arai defends the International Princess Championship today against Arisu Endo, who wants nothing more than to go home as a double champion (she is half of the current Princess Tag Team Champions). Considering there’s only 2 weeks left until WRESTLE PRINCESS 5, one of the promotion’s biggest events of the year, there’s not much else build-wise to that event today. Also no SKE38 performance which is unusual for a Nagoya event, but Yoshiko Hasegawa makes her first appearance as a full-time participant in TJPW today as well.

Today’s event will be held at Nagoya International Conference Center Event Hall in Nagoya and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. It’s a 7 match card and with only the main event possibly going longer than 20 minutes this event wouldn’t go much longer than 2 1/2 hours at most but probably will be just over 2 hours. Results may also be on slight delay because I will be simulcasting this event and a Stardom event today for most of the event.

Today’s; lineup:
Toga vs. Kira Summer
Raku vs. Mahiro Kiryu & HIMAWARI in a 3-way
Yuki Kamifuku & Pom Harajuku vs. Wakana Uehara & Chika Nanase
Rika Tatsumi & Yuki AIno vs. Kaya Toribami & Moka Miyamoto
Miyu Yamashita, Runa Okubo & Haru Kazashiro vs. Mizuki, Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami
Miu Watanabe & Suzume vs. Shoko Nakajima & Yoshiko Hasegawa
International Princess Champion Yuki ARai vs. Arisu Endo for the title

8:30 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Nagoya International Conference Center Event Hall in Nagoya, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Advance sales were good and while this venue can be configured for nearly 3000, today’s capacity will be much smaller. Probably going to be close to maybe 500. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 507)

They wasted little time getting right to Up Up Girls.

Main Event: International Princess Champion Yuki ARai vs. Arisu Endo for the title. 30 minute time limit
Result: International Princess Champion Yuki Arai beat Arisu Endo to retain the title. V4 for Arai. And I go home happy, although Endo will not. Next up: Moka Miyamoto. Maybe in 2 weeks at WRESTLE PRINCESS 5. Updates to follow.

The next event is Saturday at Aizuwakamatsu City Tsuruga Castle Gym in Fukushima for the next Arisu Endo hometown event. Streamers/paper tape throwing will be allowed only for Endo. Shoko Nakajima will not be at the event due to a US tour and Yuki Kamifuku will miss the event due to a China tour. There will be no live broadcast.

UPDATE: It’s now official. Arai-Miyamoto at WRESTLE PRINCESS 5. With zero pre-match build because Arai is not on next week’s event unless plans change, and that’s it before WRESTLE PRINCESS 5. Arai has a great title reign going but much to my dismay this could be the end.
