Tokyo Joshi Pro runs a straight doubleheader in Tokyo today, starting with their latest GO GIRL event. This is their women-only series of events where only female fans are allowed to buy tickets and attend, both an attempt to get more women to attend their events but also provide a “safer” environment to do so (Yes, female fans do attend regular events and can get specific seats at a discount-around $13-14 US, and at Korakuen Hall events that’s anywhere from 50-70% off regular price-but in TJPW they make up a very small percentage of fans at their events. I know from watching many events they tend to gravitate to the bigger promotions like New Japan, All-Japan and especially Dragon Gate). On paper it’s otherwise a standard house show, for the second event anyone will be able to attend. And there is one exception to the admission rule-boys under elementary school age (roughly 5 years old) can enter with their mothers.
Today’s events will be held at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo and-by men and all fans-can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. You will also be able to watch the second event later today LIVE FOR FREE on YouTube (live broadcast only). There will be no commentary. There are 7 matches planned for this first event but with the time limits and event later today I anticipate this event running the near-standard time of about 2 hours.

We are LIVE from Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary. The hard camera setup is overhead/elevated and at a slight diagonal angle.
The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Women-only does mean a much smaller crowd than normal, the venue’s normal capacity for wrestling is roughly 200-250 (just under 300 tops) but I’ll predict it will wins up being just short of 150. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 148. A very rare correct prediction!)
