Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling “TJPW 11th Birthday” LIVE Results (12/1/24)

Tokyo Joshi Pro celebrates their 11th birthday/anniversary today with an event in Tokyo on the day they began as a DDT sub-brand in 2013, and appropriately this kicks off a doubleheader with DDT following. The event will also feature a title match main event as, after winning the NEXGENE Tournament in a bit of an upset, Haru Kazashiro earned a title shot of her choice and chose the Princess Tag Team Championship with Toga, who she beat to win the tournament, so they will face current champions Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh for the titles headlining the card. The likely semi-final match features all the Up Up Girls together in an 8-woman tag.
The promotion has already announced that Pom Harajuku will miss the event due to having competed in Thailand today, where she won the SETUP Thailand All-Asia Women’s Championship for her first career championship. I’m sure Max The Impaler is very proud of Pom too!

Today’s event will be held at Club eX in Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. The event is a legit advance sellout. There will be no commentary. With 6 matches and a bit of a time limit due to DDT following them I don’t see this event running longer than the potential limit if everything went the distance, meaning it should be just under 2 hours. The longest it could go is just over 2 hours.

Today’s lineup:
Rika Tatsumi vs. Kaya Toribami & Chika Nanase in a 3-way
Moka Miyamoto vs. Kira Summer
Hyper Misao & Neko Haruna vs. Mahiro Kiryu & HIMAWARI
Yuki Kamifuku & Wakana Uehara vs. Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino
Miu Watanabe, Raku, Shino Suzuki & Uta Takami vs. Mizuki, Suzume, Arisu Endo & Yoshiko Hasegawa
Princess Tag Team Champions Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh vs. Haru Kazashiro & Toga for the titles

Updates below will begin at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin 15 minutes before the event.

6:15 PM PT UPDATE: The live stream has begun. We should be going to the venue in about 15 minutes.

6:30 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Club eX in Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. It’s a legit advance sellout so it will depend on the setup which I’m thinking will be 450-500. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 333, a legit advance sellout. A smaller setup than anticipated)

The matches should begin in about 10 minutes. During the opening announcements one match was announced for 1/4 at Korakuen Hall, which is Shoko Nakajima vs. Hyper Misao. Must be a tradition because it’s happening on that date for the 6th straight year. Then a new trainee was introduced (a foreigner). She spoke pretty good Japanese though. Then she spoke in English-she is originally from Manchester, England. When DDT hopefully posts more on their website a little later I’ll edit this with more about her. And they already have…Her name is Ivy Steele, she is 25 and currently is an exchange student. She will be changing her ring name, possibly to her original ring name FiFi. She has been wrestling for almost 7 years (debuted in February 2018) and attended & passed the TJPW fall auditions. Her TJPW debut will be on 12/14 at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama.

The matches begin at 6:50 PM PT/9:50 PM ET.
