All-Japan ran their annual year-opening fan appreciation event today in Tokyo.
Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV.
The announced paid attendance was 530, a legit sellout and over normal max capacity for the venue, which is 500.
There were last-minute changes to the card due to Ryo Inoue & Shota Kofuji being pulled off the event. Flu.
Before the event began, the promotion announced the signing of Yasutaka Yano to a trainee contract. Initial fan reaction on social media has been overwhelmingly negative to this.
Match 1: Kumaarashi beat Ryuki Honda.
Match 2: Daisuke Sekimoto, Hikaru Sato & Seiki Yoshioka beat MUSASHI, Kengo Mashimo & Yuko Miyamoto. Yoshioka pinned MUSASHI after a Miyamoto Sasuke Special X Version 10.2 Segway misfired.
Match 3: Seigo Tachibana beat Ren Ayabe, Talos & Cyrus in a 4-way by countout. Everyone else counted out.
Match 4: Jun Saito, Hideki Suzuki & Shotaro Ashino beat Hokuto Omori, Atsuki Aoyagi & Dan Tamura. Saito pinned Omori after Psychi Break.
Main Event: Kento Miyahara & Go Shiozaki beat Yuma Anzai & Rising Hayato. Shiozaki pinned Hayato after Go Lariat.
