Stardom continued the Cinderella Tournament today with the second half of Round 1.
Today’s event was held at Chunichi Hall in Nagoya and can be watched on demand on Stardom World. You can also watch the first 2 matches FOR FREE on YouTube.
The paid attendance was not announced. So apparently not a legit sellout, which seems to be when they do announce it now.
All matches were Cinderella Tournament matches with over-the-top-rope rules in effect (one can win that way) and draw/co contest means both are out.
Match 1: Tomoka Inaba beat Anne Kanaya.
Match 2: Azusa Inaba beat Lady C.
Match 3: Saya Iida beat Kiyoka Kokatsu.
Match 4: Hina beat Xena.
Match 5: Miyu Amasaki beat Rina Yamashita by over the top rope.
Match 6: Sayaka Kurara beat Saki Kashima.
Match 7: Rina beat Akira Kurogame.
Main Event: Ami Sohrei beat Bea Priestley.
As a result of yesterday & today, the Round 2 matches are as follows: Hanan vs. Ranna Yagami, Rian vs. Natsupoi, Sayaka Kurara vs. Tomoka Inaba, Ami Sohrei vs. Rina, Hina vs. Azusa Inaba and Saya Iida vs. Miyu Amasaki. Because two matches resulted in both participants being eliminated due to draws (HANAKO-Yuria Hime and Saori Anou-Fuwa-chan), Aya Sakura & Maki Itoh get a free pass to the Quarterfinals. Sakura will face the Rian-Natsupoi winner and Itoh will face the Hanan-Yagami winner.
Round 2 is tomorrow at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Live streaming on Stardom World will begin TONIGHT at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET.
