All-Japan wrapped up the 2026 Royal Road Tournament today with the Semifinals and Finals.
Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV. This was also a Samurai! TV broadcast in Japan.
The announced paid attendance was 1510, a legit sellout.
Match 1: Royal Road Semifinals: Ryuki Honda beat Xyon.
Match 2: Royal Road Semifinals: Yuma Aoyagi beat Yuma Anzai.
Match 3: Jun & Rei Saito & Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer) beat Odyssey, Shotaro Ashino & Daisuke Sekimoto. Rei Saito pinned Odyssey.
Match 4: MUSASHI, Rising Hayato & Hokuto Omori beat Dan Tamura, Seigo Tachibana & Shota Kofuji. Hayato pinned Kofuji after a huracanrana.
Match 5: Hideki Suzuki, Go Shiozaki, Timothy Thatcher & Yasutaka Yano beat Kento Miyahara, Ren Ayabe, Kumaarashi & Hyo Ogawa. Thatcher beat Ayabe with a Fujiwara armbar.
Main Event: Royal Road Finals: Ryuki Honda beat Yuna Aoyagi to win the tournament. Honda becomes the youngest ever winner at 26 years, 7 months (he beat Ren Ayabe’s record by a year). As a result, Ayabe will get a Triple Crown shot on 10/22…and the fans predicted the winner wrong again! (The majority vote was for Aoyagi)
The next event is 10/3 at Gyoda Green Arena in Saitama. Broadcast plans TBA.
