KING OF GATE, the promotion’s annual singles tournament, was announced at today’s event. The entire roster of 32 will participate in this year’s version. The schedule is as follows (noting events that will be available on DRAGONGATE NETWORK):
7/7-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo (DRAGONGATE NETWORK)
7/8-Act City Hamamatsu, Shizuoka
7/9-Osaka Prefectural Gym 2, Osaka (DRAGONGATE NETWORK)
7/14-Robashi Sports Center, Nagoya
7/15-Kyoto KBS Hall, Kyoto (DRAGONGATE NETWORK)
7/16-Kanazawa Ryutsu Kaikan, Ishikawa
7/17-Kasukabe Fureai Cube, Saitama
7/22-Kobe Art Center, Kobe (DRAGONGATE NETWORK)
7/23-Juroku Plaza, Gifu
7/29-Tsushima City Cultural Hall, Aichi
7/30-Kudamatsu Sports Park Gym, Yamaguchi
8/3-Korakuen Hall (Finals) (DRAGONGATE NETWORK)
The tournament format is single elimination but with the following match formats:
Round 1-15 minute time limit
Round 2-20 minute time limit
Quarterfinals-30 minute time limit
Semifinals-45 minute time limit
Finals-No time limit
If any match ends in a draw (including time limit), no contest, double countout or any situation where there isn’t a winner, both wrestlers are eliminated from the tournament.

The promotion’s first major event of 2024 will be on 1/27at Yokohama Budokan in Yokohama. More details TBA.

New Japan’s Hiromu Takahashi has been announced for Kobe Pro Wrestling Festival 2023, Dragon Gate’s biggest annual event, on 7/2 at Kobe World Hall in Kobe. Takahashi will face YAMATO. This was also announced at today’s event. Today’s event is available on demand FOR FREE on DRAGONGATE NETWORK.
