Standings:
Block A:
1-Ashino/Shiozaki, 3-0, 6 pts
2-Suzuki/Mashimo, 2-1, 4 pts
3-Ayabe/Talos, 2-1, 4 pts
4-MUSASHI/Yoshioka, 1-1, 2 pts
5-Tamura/Sato, 0-2, 0 pts (OUT)
6-Omori/Kumaarashi, 0-3, 0 pts (OUT)
Block B:
1-Xyon/Odyssey, 4-0, 8 pts
2-Miyahara/Smith, 3-1, 6 pts (OUT)
3-Honda/Nomura, 2-1, 4 pts
4-Atsuki Aoyagi/Hayato, 1-2, 2 pts (OUT)
5-Kuroshio/Tachibana, 1-2, 2 pts (OUT)
6-Yuma Aoyagi/Anzai, 0-5, 0 pts (OUT) (forfeited due to Aoyagi suspension)
The winners of each block advance to the Finals. Block A is still up for grabs but Ashino/Shiozaki are in control. Omori/Kumaarashi are already eliminated and Tamura/Sato are now out due to tiebreakers. Block B is officially down to two because of tiebreakers, the only team Xyon/Odyssey hasn’t faced yet is Honda/Nomura, which is why they are the only team still with a chance despite only 4 points. But if they lose or draw their next match (Kuroshio?Tachibana), it’s a moot point as they would be eliminated and Xyon/Odyssey will win the block.
The next event is tomorrow (tonight US time) at Hiroshima Industrial Hall East Exhibition Hall in Hiroshima. There will be no live broadcast. On demand scheduled for tomorrow at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET.
