All-Japan ran the penultimate day of the World’s Strongest Tag League and wrapped up the Jr. Battle Of Glory preliminary round.
Today’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV.
The announced paid attendance was 707.
Match 1: Jr. Battle Of Glory: Rising Hayato beat Ryo Inoue.
Match 2: Jr. Battle Of Glory: Hikaru Sato beat Hokuto Omori by ref stoppage.
Match 3: Jr. Battle Of Glory: Atsuki Aoyagi beat Dan Tamura. As a result, Aoyagi & Tamura tie for the top spot and will have a tiebreaker match at the next event.
Match 4: Izanagi, Black Menso-re, Andy Wu & Oji Shiba beat Takao Omori, Yoshitatsu, TAJIRI & Naoki Tanizaki. Menso-re pinned Omori.
Match 5: Jun & Rei Saito beat Ryuki Honda & The Bodyguard. Rei Saito pinned Honda after Drill-a-hole piledriver.
Match 6: World’s Strongest Tag League: Jake Lee & Yuma Aoyagi beat Yuji Nagata & Yuma Anzai. Lee pinned Anzai after a backdrop.
Match 7: World’s Strongest Tag League: Sueama & KONO beat Koji Doi & Kuma Arashi. KONO pinned Arashi after a giant kneedrop.
Main Event: World’s Strongest Tag League: Kento Miyahara & Takuya Nomura beat Shuji Ishikawa & Cyrus. Nomura pinned Cyrus with a diving rolling clutch hold.
The Final is Wednesday at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Unless there is a no contest or double countout in all their matches, 4 teams have a chance to force a potential tiebreaker match with Ishikawa & Cyrus to win the tournament. There will also be an Aoyagi/Tamura rematch for the Jr. Battle Of Glory championship with no time limit and a 4-way for the All-Asia Tag Team Championship.
