Today’s event was held at Shimizu Marine Building in Shizuoka and will be available on demand on AJPW.TV tonight at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET. There was no live broadcast. (Note for the replay: There is an intermission after the 3rd match)

The announced paid attendance was 417.

Match 1: Dan Tamura & Hideki Suzuki beat Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Seigo Tachibana. Suzuki beat Tachibana with a cobra twist.

Match 2: Rei Saito beat MUSASHI (Michinoku Pro).

Match 3: Shotaro Ashino & Hideki Sekine beat Suwama & Hikaru Sato. Sekine beat Sato with an ankle hold.

Match 4: Yuma Aoyagi beat Seiki Yoshioka.

Match 5: Naruki Doi beat All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion Rising Hayato to win the title. Doi becomes the 69th All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion.

Match 6: All-Japan World Tag Team Champions Jun & Rei Saito beat Kento Miyahara & Yuma Aoyagi to retain the titles. Jun Saito pinned Aoyagi after DOOM. V2 for the champs.

Main Event: All-Japan Triple Crown Champion Yuma Anzai beat Suwama to retain the Triple Crown. V3 for Anzai. Next up: TBA, but that match will happen on 8/3 at Sendai Sun Plaza in Sendai.

All-Japan held NEW AGE CHRONICLE Z 5 today, the latest and possibly last in the series of Rising Hayato Produced events for younger and less experienced wrestlers (less than 10 years experience).

Today’s event was held at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV.

The announced paid attendance was 338, a legit advance sellout.

Match 1: Dan Tamura beat Ryo Inoue.

Match 2: Hokuto Omori beat Jack Kennedy.

Match 3: Rei Saito beat Jun Saito & Seigo Tachibana in a 3-way by pinning Tachibana.

Match 4: Yuma Anzai, Ryuki Honda, Rising Hayato & Ren Ayabe beat Yuma Aoyagi, Shotaro Ashino, Kumaarashi & Fuminori Abe. Anzai pinned Kumaarashi after Gimlet.

Main Event: Seigo Tachibana won a 15 man battle royal with all event participants, last eliminating Rei Saito.

No word on if there will be another event in the series, but they made it sound like no.

The next event is 7/13 at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka with 3 title matches-an All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Championship match, All-Japan World Tag Team Championship match and All-Japan Triple Crown match. Live streaming on AJPW.TV will begin at 2 AM PT/5 AM ET.

In other news, an All-Japan 6-Man Tag Team Championship match has been announced for an Evolution Women’s Pro Wrestling event on 7/18: Suwama, Mayumi Ozaki & Maya Yukihi will defend the titles against Shuji Ishikawa, Chihiro Hashimoto & Yuu. Dan Tamura participation is also set for the event.

Some All-Japan news to kick off July:

Effective today, Yuji Shindo has joined All-Japan and will be the new ring announcer going forward. Shindo, 41, has been a ring announcer for 16 years and most recently was a freelancer.

Several title matches have been announced for this month’s events:
On 7/20, All-Asia Tag Team Champions MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka will defend the titles against Naruki Doi & TBA, identified as “S”. This “S” is a new member of the Saito Brothers group with Jun & Rei Saito and Doi.
On 7/13 there will be 3 title matches: All-Japan World Tag Team Champions Jun & Rei Saito vs. Kento Miyahara & Yuma Aoyagi for the titles and the previously announced matches of All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion Rising Hayato vs. Naruki Doi for the title and Yuma Anzai vs. Suwama for the Triple Crown.

Also, while not a title match, Rising Hayato vs. Kento Miyahara has been announced for 7/20 as Hayato is leaving the NEXTREAM faction to form his own group, ELPIDA, with Ryuki Honda, Yuma Anzai & Ren Ayabe.

Match 5: In an Elimination Match (over the top rope rules in effect), Jun & Rei Saito & Naruki Doi beat Ryuki Honda, Ren Ayabe & Rising Hayato. Order of elimination: Honda, Rei Saito, Jun Saito, Ayabe, Hayato. Doi wins.

Main Event: All-Japan Triple Crown Champion Yuma Anzai beat Hideki Suzuki to retain the Triple Crown. V2 for Anzai.

The next event is Saturday at Kashima Sports Center Ibaraki Sub Arena in Ibaraki, a Dan Tamura hometown event. There will be no live broadcast. It should be available on demand beginning at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET.

In other news, the full card for NEW AGE CHRONICLE Z 5 on 7/4 at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring, the next installment in the Rising Hayato Produced event series, has been announced. The card is as follows:

The 8-man tag is being billed as a graduation commemoration match, hinting at this perhaps being the end of the series.

The 7/20 Korakuen event will also be a Referee Kyohei Wada 50th Anniversary event.

Finally, the Royal Road Tournament will return this year for an 11th installment in September. This is an openweight single tournament that likely will be a single-elimination format. The schedule was announced today:

UPDATE: Next up for Anzai & the Triple Crown: Suwama. That match will happen on 7/13 at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka along with All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion Rising Hayato vs. Naruki Doi for the title. It’s also worth noting Doi has been given the nickname “Mr. Saito” as part of his recent teaming with the Saito Bros.

All-Japan ran their own Noto Peninsiula earthquake recovery fundraiser event today, separate from the recent and upcoming ALL TOGETHER events which they have not been part of this time around.

Today’s event was held at Nanao City Tazuruhama Gym in Ishikawa and will be available on demand on AJPW.TV either tonight or tomorrow morning. There was no live broadcast.

The paid attendance has not been announced.

All-Japan continues the Super Power Series 2024 today with an event in Gifu, and it’s at least a mid-major event with 2 title matches scheduled. First up is an All-Asia Tag Team Championship match, with the titles finally back in the promotion’s possession after a long time mostly residing in DDT or, to the PWF’s dread, in the clutches of Atsushi Onita which meant title matches were often exploding death matches or similar. But it may not be much better as the comedy duo of Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Seigo Tachibana are the challengers for new champions Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato. In the main event, Fuminori Abe once again challenges for the All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Championship-after coming up short against Dan Tamura the first time he’ll try to build on recent tag team wins over current champion Rising Hayato and win the title today.

Today’s event will be held at Juroku Plaza in Gifu and can be watched LIVE on AJPW.TV. It’s not known if there will be any commentary. It’s a lean card with only 6 matches scheduled and all non-title matches have a 30 minute time limit (1 Hour for title matches), so I’ll predict the event will probably run close to 2 1/2 hours. For the first hour or so I’ll be also watching the Tokyo Joshi Pro event so I may be slightly behind until that event wraps up.

It’s hard to tell the capacity from the hard camera view From what I can see the layout is on the small side, It looks like a setup for maybe close to 500 but I’m guessing it’ll be closer to 400. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 573. Got a much better look at the hard camera seating in the 4th match, there was more than expected)
