DDT held another Sanshiro Takagi 30th Anniversary Project event today under his M&A Pro Wrestling label, again featuring no DDT wrestlers with one or two exceptions.

Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

The paid attendance was not announced.

The event opened with an important announcement from Sanshiro Takagi-M&A Pro Wrestling is no more. His next event on 8/19 at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage will be the launch of Super Japan Pro Wrestling.

Match 1: Fuminori Abe beat Shota.

Match 2: Kuroshio TOKYO Japan & Momo Hanazono beat Munenori Sawa & Mio Shirai. Kuroshio pinned Shirai.

Match 3: Momo Kohgo (Stardom) beat Yoshiko Hasegawa (Tokyo Joshi Pro).

Match 4: Brahmans Shu & Kei beat Rika Tatsumi (Tokyo Joshi Pro) & Antonio Honda (DDT). Kei pinned Honda.

Match 5: Suwama (All-Japan) beat Muscle Sakai. Afterwards, Sakai revealed that, for those who didn’t know, he actually is Super Sasadango Machine.

Main Event: Yuji Nagata (New Japan) beat Ken Ohka (Ganbare Pro). Afterwards, Takagi asked Nagata to team with the Brahmans on 8/19 but Nagata refused. Instead a match of MIKAMI vs. TAKA Michinoku was announced for 8/19.

The next event is Sunday at Korakuen Hall for the monthly major event featuring KO-D Openweight Champion Chris Brookes vs. Kazusada Higuchi for the title. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Saturday at 7:30 PM PT/10:30 PM ET.

DDT held a series of matches and other activities as part of a free event during boat races today in Tokyo.

Today’s event was held at Tokyo Boat Race Tama River in Tokyo and should be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

This was a free event included with admission to the day’s racing venue, which was 100 yen (around 70 cents US).

Match 1: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani & Illusion beat Kazusada Higuchi, Yuya Koroku & Yuki Ishida. Okatani pinned Ishida after a vertical drop brainbuster.

Match 2: MAO & KANON beat Yukio Naya & Kazuma Sumi. KANON beat Sumi with a crucifix cobra twist.

Match 3: Chris Brookes, Antonio Honda & Takeshi Masada beat Yuki Ueno, Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata. Brookes beat Hirata.

A special talk show was held with HARASHIMA and the mayor of his hometown of Ome City to promote a convention event in late July.

Main Event: Jun Akiyama & HARASHIMA beat Shunma Katsumata & To-y. HARASHIMA pinned To-y after Magic Knife.

After the main event, various other events for fans were held including a boat race winner receiving congratulatory flowers from HARASHIMA in the ring.

The next event is a Sanshiro Takagi Produced 30th Anniversary Project M&A Pro Wrestling event Wednesday at Shinjuku Face. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 3 AM PT/6 AM ET.

DDT held a Daisuke Sasaki Produced event today called CHARISMANIA 2, the second such event he has put on this past year

Today’s event was held at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE.

Voice actor and DDT semi-regular guest Tetsu Inada was the special ring announcer.

Match 1: Yasu Urano beat Naohiro Katsumi by ref stoppage (TKO).

Match 2: Illusion & Sangre Azteca Jr. beat El Pantera Jr. & Sumicaras (almost certainly Kazuma Sumi under a mask). Illusion pinned Sumicaras.

Match 3: Brahmans Shi, Kei & Ueno (last one being Yuki Ueno) beat Takayuki Ueki, Alito & Mataro. All 3 Brahmans pinned Mataro.

Match 4: MJ Paul & Minoru Fujita beat So Daimonji & Ryoma Tsukamoto. Paul pinned Tsukamoto after a reverse splash.

Match 5: In a hardcore match, Isami Kodaka beat Hideki Okatani.

Main Event: In what was bulled as the GREATEST WRESTLING MATCH EVER, Dick Togo (New Japan) beat Daisuke Sasaki. Togo was Sasaki’s trainer/mentor.

After the main event, Sasaki announced a 2th Anniversary event for 10/2 at Korakuen Hall. Japanese rock band HEAD PHONES PRESIDENT will be a sponsor/supporter of the event and will perform live there.

The next event is tomorrow at Tokyo Boat Race Tama River in Tokyo. This is a free event with admission to the race venue (which is 100 yen or around 70 cents US). There will be no live broadcast.

DDT ran a standalone event yesterday in Niigata with another DDT Extreme Championship match.

Yesterday’s event was held at Niigata City Higashi-ku Plaza in Niigata and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Wednesday. There was no live broadcast.

The paid attendance was not announced but it was a legit advance sellout.

There were last-second changes to the card due to Takao Soma being pulled off last-minute. The always-vague poor health.

Match 1: Yuni & Daichi Sato beat Takeshi Masada & Kazuma Sumi. Yuni pinned Sumi after Messiah DDT.

Match 2: HARASHIMA beat Danshoku Dieno & Kazuki Hirata in a 3-way by pinning Hirata.

Match 3: Daisuke Sasaki, Hideki Okatani, MJ Paul & Illusion beat Jun Akiyama, Akito, Shunma Katsumata & Yukio Naya. Sasaki beat Katsumata with a mystical crossface.

Match 4: Yuki Ueno beat Yuya Koroku.

Match 5: Kazusada Higuchi & Yuki Ishida beat Chris Brookes & Antonio Honda and MAO & KANON in a 3-way when Higuchi pinned Honda.

Main Event: In a 3 Falls Deathmatch with different rules for each fall, To-y beat DDT Extreme Champion Super Sasadango Machine to win the title. To-y becomes the 63rd DDT Extreme Champion. Fall 1: In a match where the first to spit milk out of their mouth loses, Machine won. Fall 2: In a match where the first to put their opponent into a trash can wins, To-y won. Fall 3: In a match where the total number of chops into the opponent’s back is counted and whoever delivers the 100th total chop wins, To-y won. To-y wins 2-1.

The next event is CHARISMANIA 2, the second Daisuke Sasaki Produced event, under that label, Wednesday at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 3 AM PT/6 AM ET.

DDT ran their third D GENERATIONS event today, part of the new series focused on the promotion’s younger wrestlers.

Today’s event was held at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage in Tokyo and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Sunday. There was no live broadcast.

Today’s event was held at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage in Tokyo and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Saturday. There was no live broadcast.

Match 1: HARASHIMA & Yuya Koroku beat Hideki Okatano & MJ Paul. HARASHIMA pinned Paul after Magic Knife.

Match 2: In a Rainy Season Death Match, where the only allowed weapons were umbrellas, Daisuke Sasaki & Illusion beat Yuni & Kazuma Sumi. Illusion pinned Yuni after a swanton bomb on an umbrella. (June through early July is considered rainy season in Japan where it constantly rains, sometimes heavy/a lot. That doesn’t mean it does not rain at other times of course)

Match 3: In a match where the first wrestler to be placed into the ring loses, Kazusada Higuchi, Naomi Yoshimura & Yuki Ishida beat Chris Brookes, Takeshi Masada & Kotaro Suzuki (GLEAT) when Masada was placed into the ring.

Match 4: In a handicap match with special rules, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda beat KANON in 43 seconds. The rule was if KANON laughed at any point he lost, but if not he won. He laughed and lost. Which led to…
Match 4 (again): In a handicap match with special rules, Kazuki Hirata & Antonio Honda beat KANON by TKO. KANON started with 5 points and lost 1 point each time he laughed. If KANON survived with a point for 10 minutes or scored a pinfall or submission he won. He cane up 8 seconds short on points.

Match 5: Jun Akiyama & Shinya Aoki beat MAO & Danshoku Dieno. Akiyama pinned Dieno.

Main Event: Akito Nishigaki (Akito), Yukio Naya & De Katsumata Daichi (Daichi Sato) beat Yuki Ueno, Shunma Katsumata & Yo-y. Akito pinned Katsumata.

Main Event: KO-D Tag Team Champions Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura beat Akito & Yuya Koroku to retain the titles. Abe pinned Koroku after countering a chicken wing. V5 for the champs.

The next event is “DDT x New Japan One-Sided Competition – Super Sasadango Machine vs. Toru Yano” Monday at Korakuen Hall, which currently has just one match, the aforementioned Machine vs. Yano. Live streaming as a PPV on WRESTLE UNIVERSE and New Japan World will begin 3 AM PT/6 AM ET. The PPV will be 2500 Japanese yen (about $17.25 US) on WRESTLE UNIVERSE worldwide and on New Japan World in Japan and $18.99 on New Japan World outside Japan. The PPV will be available on WRESTLE UNIVERSE until 6/30.

DDT has provided a new update on the status of Masa Takanashi, who was severely injured at an event earlier this year: He had successful regenerative medicine surgery to restore/repair a damaged cervical spine cord and he will soon be transferred to another hospital to focus on rehabilitation. DDT is also launching a special online store in cooperation with Chocolate Pro Wrestling (ChocoPro, an independent promotion started/owned by current All Elite Wrestling wrestler Emi Sakura where Takanashi frequently appeared) but operated by DDT owner CyberFIght Corporation that will sell Takanashi-themed goods. Products offered will change monthly and orders will be accepted from the first Friday to the second Friday of each month. I don’t know if they ship outside Japan and the site is still a work-in-progress but you can check it out at takanashi-online.shop.

UPDATE: For those outside Japan, ProWrestlingTees, an online store used by independent wrestlers and All Elite Wrestling to sell officially licensed apparel, has opened a store to sell Takanashi t-shirts. This from DDT wrestler and factionmate Chris Brookes. There are two shirts currently available for $24.99 each and they ship domestically (US) and worldwide with a few exceptions. They also have a physical store in Chicago, IL that is open during special events. Proceeds will go to help Takanashi. The link is below (in English):
