DDT/Tokyo Joshi Pro/DEFY Supershow LIVE Results (11/10/24)

The DDT/Tokyo Joshi Pro/DEFY Wrestling joint tripleheader weekend wraps up today with a supershow event featuring all 3 promotions together. The full card was announced earlier today following the fallout from yesterday’s DDT/DEFY crossover event that ended with a stunning upset-Miyu Yamashita won the DDT Universal Championship from MAO by pinning Mike Bailey in a 3-way, so now her scheduled match today against Gringo Loco will be for the title…but since it’s his home turf, Nick Wayne got himself in the match as well so it’s another 3-way for the title. Marina Shafir also showed up and defended her DEFY Women’s Championship yesterday and, following a challenge from Shoko Nakajima, will defend again today. A full slate of crossover matches rounds out the card.

Today’s event will be held at Historic Washington Hall in Seattle, WA and can be watched LIVE only on TrillerTV/FITE with a Triller+ subscription ($7.99/month or $69.99/year) in English. It WILL NOT be available live or on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Being billed as a supershow and with 9 matches hints the event will run a little longer than last night’s event which went 3 hours, so this one could be closer to 3 1/2 hours.

Today’s lineup:
Maki Itoh & Zara Zakher vs. Amira & Danica De La Rush
Bryan Keith vs. Shota
Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Aino & Arisu Endo vs. Vertvixen, Yuki Kamifuku & Moka Miyamoto
Miu Watanabe & Suzume vs. Mizuki & Wakana Uehara
Daisuke Sasaki & Kohei Kinoshita vs. Danshoku Dieno & Randy Myers
MAO & Mike Bailey vs. Judas Icarus & Travis Williams
Konosuke Takeshita vs. Yuni
DEFY Women’s Champion Marina Shafir vs. Shoko Nakajima for the title
DDT Universal Champion Miyu Yamashita vs. Gringo Loco & Nick Wayne in a 3-way for the title

4 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

Mandatory FBI Warning then…

We are LIVE from Historic Washington Hall in Seattle, WA. Your hosts are Rich Bocchini, Veda Scott & Ethan HD.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The lights haven’t come on yet so I can’t get a good look but it sounds like a packed house or close to it. Last night’s event did a near-sellout of 447 and so far it looks like it’ll be at least that much, so the guess is around 450. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 389)

Match 1: Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Aino & Arisu Endo vs. Vertvixen, Yuki Kamifuku & Moka Miyamoto
Result: Vertvixen, Yuki Kamifuku & Moka Miyamoto beat Rika Tatsumi, Yuki Aino & Arisu Endo. Vertvixen pinned Endo after a sitout powerbomb.

Match 2: Bryan Keith vs. Shota
Result: Bryan Keith beat Shota

Match 3: Maki Itoh & Zara Zakher vs. Amira & Danika Della Rouge
Result: Maki Itoh & Zara Zakher beat Amira & Danika Della Rouge. Itoh pinned Della Rouge after a jumping DDT off the top rope.

Match 4: Daisuke Sasaki & Kohei Kinoshita vs. Danshoku Dieno & Randy Myers
Result: No Contest. Out of control. More Yoshihiko and Kinoshita turned on Sasaki. Way too NSFW and he clearly was wearing way too small a thong underneath his tights. Quite the package. Anyway, moving on…legit made me sick to my stomach…good think the Triller+ stream has live DVR! Might be a bit behind live for a bit…

Match 5: Miu Watanabe & Suzume vs. Mizuki & Wakana Uehara
Result: Miu Watanabe & Suzume beat Mizuki & Wakana Uehara. Watanabe pinned Uehara after Teardrop.

Match 6: DEFY Women’s Champion Marina Shafir vs. Shoko Nakajima for the title
Result: DEFY Women’s Champion Marina Shafir beat Shoko Nakajima by submission to retain the title.

Match 7: Konosuke Takeshita vs. Yuni
Result: Konosuke Takeshita beat Yuni

Match 8: DDT Universal Champion Miyu Yamashita vs. Gringo Loco & Nick Wayne in a 3-way for the title
Result: Gringo Loco beat DDT Universal Champion Miyu Yamashita & Nick Wayne in a 3-way by pinning Yamashita to win the title. Loco becomes the 16th DDT Universal Champion. Damn…just 24 hours after Yamashita wins it she loses it.

Main Event: MAO & Mike Bailey vs. Judas Icarus & Travis Williams
Result: Judas Icarus & Travis Williams beat MAO & Mike Bailey. Williams pinned Bailey after Angel’s Wings with an Icarus superkick. Not exactly a “send the crowd home happy” results. Although Bailey & MAO got the post-main event promo where Bailey apologized to MAO, who came back with a very MAO remark. MAO then thanked the fans for coming in English and said he wished for DDT to come back to Seattle and maybe to Las Vegas, as Tokyo Joshi Pro is headed there for the first time in April 2025. Bailey then tried to say some Japanese (Veda Scott can probably confirm his nearly 4-year Duolingo streak). A fun spot to get the fans involved and send the crowd home happy.

As a whole, this was a fun tripleheader weekend with some surprising outcomes and of course some very DDT moments courtesy of Danshoku Dieno, and even better a pair of Yoshihiko appearances which made it all worth it. With any luck a weekend like this will happen again sometime in 2025. Props to DEFY Wrestling for their help in putting on a great trio of events and being great partners.

End Show.

For DDT, the next event is Saturday at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama, Japan. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET.
