Dragon Gate continued the Truth Gate 2025 Tour today with their monthly Tokyo event.

Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on DRAGONGATE NETWORK.

The announced paid attendance was 1105.

There were a handful of last minute changes due to Strong Machine J being off the event. Shoulder injury. Out indefinitely.

Match 1: Toru Owashi, Shuji Kondo & Punch Tominaga beat Masaaki Mochizuki, Ryu Fuda & Akihiro Sahara. Tominaga pinned Sahara with Punch Clutch.

Match 2: ISHIN beat Don Fujii by DQ.

Match 3: Mochizuki Junior beat Daiki Yanagiuchi.

Match 4: Ultimo Dragon, Luis Mante & U-T beat Genki Horiguchi, Hyo & Problem Dragon. Mante pinned Dragon after a reverse Gory Special. This originally was to have been Dragon & Mante vs. Hyo & Dragon but U-T & Horiguchi were late adds.

Match 5: BxB Hulk, Kagetora, Susumu Yokosuka & Naruki Doi beat KAI, Jason Lee, Yoshiki Kato & Homare. Yokosuka pinned Kato after Jumbo Wins! ISHIN & Dragon Kid were special referees. Had Z-Brats won, they would have gotten an Open The Triangle Gate Championship shot.

Match 6: Riiita & JACKY KAMEI beat Dragon Dia & Ryoya Tanaka. Riiita pinned Tanaka after Riiitanic. This was originally to have been a 3-way with Kzy & U-T but apparently plans changed.

Main Event: Ben-K, Madoka Kikuta & Kzy beat YAMATO, Shun Skywalker & Kota Minoura. Kzy pinned Minoura after Impact.

The next event is Saturday at Yukihashi City Budokan in Fukuoka. There will be no live or on demand broadcast.

Dragon Gate held their first major event of the year, THE GATE OF BAYSIDE, today in its traditional location of Yokohama.

Today’s event was held at Yokohama Budokan in Yokohama and can be watched on demand on DRAGONGATE NETWORK.

The announced paid attendance was 2098.

Match 1: Kzy & U-T beat Ben-K & Mochizuki Junior. Kzy pinned Junior after a running elbow smash.

Match 2; Ultimo Dragon, Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer), Toru Owashi (DDT), Shuji Kondo & Hyo beat Don Fujii, Genki Horiguchi, Yasushi Kanda, Shachihoko BOY & Luis Mante. Hyo pinned BOY after a double biceps senton.

Match 3: Open The Owarai Gate Champion Takashi Yoshida beat Kikutaro, then got the required post-match fan support, to retain the title. V1 for Yoshida.

Match 4: In a Captains Fall Elimination Match, Masaaki Mochizuki, Eyu Fuda, Daiki Yanagiuchi & Akihiro Sahara beat Shun Skywalker, ISHIN, Yoshiki Kato & Homare. The captains, either one being eliminated ended the match, were Yanagoiuchi & Kato. Mochizuki pinned Kato with a Yanagiuchi-assisted schoolboy. Had Z-Brats won, Mochizuki Dojo would’ve had to disband. That will not happen now.

Match 5: In a Hardcore match, Masato Tanaka (ZERO1) beat KAI.

Match 6: Open The Triangle Gate Champions Susumu Yokozuka, Kagetora & BxB Hulk beat Dragon Dia, Madoka Kikuta & Ryoya Tanaka to retain the titles.Yoosuka pinned Kikuta after Jumbo Wins! V1 for the champs.

Dragon Gate began their 2025 campaign today with the opener of the New Year Gate 2025 tour, the annual East-West competition event. Teams were determined based on their hometown, with foreigners on the West team.

Dragon Gate wrapped up their 2024 today with the final event of their 25th Anniversary campaign.

Today’s event was held at Kobe Sambo Hall in Kobe and can be watched on demand on DRAGONGATE NETWORK.

The announced paid attendance was 651.

Match 1: ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato beat Ryu Fuda & Daiki Yanagiuchi. Kato pinned Yanagiuchi after a sit-down Canadian hammer. ISHIN was a last-minute replacement for an absent Hoki.

Ho Ho Lun is joining the promotion full-time effective in January. He had been making occasional appearances as a freelancer. He is based in Hong Kong.
The next challenge for YAMATO’s Open The Dream Gate Championship has been announced: Strong Machine J. That match will happen at THE GATE OF BAYSIDE 2025 on 1/25 at Yokohama Budokan in Yokohama. At this time it will not be for the Open The Brave Gate Championship also held by YAMATO.

The next event, their 2025 opener, is 1/9 at Kobe Art Center in Kobe to kick off the Open The New Year Gate 2025 Tour. Broadcast plans TBA. The DRAGONGATE NETWORK January schedule hasn’t been announced yet (only for February).

Dragon Gate 12/17/24 Results

Dragon Gate ran their final Tokyo event of 2024 today, which also was the retirement event for longtime comedy wrestler Ichikawa. His final opponent would be none other than New Japan’s Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Major breaking news from Dragon Gate-BIGBOSS Shimizu has been suspended indefinitely amidst a suspected serious breach of contract. No further details have been released, but as a result the Open The Triangle Gate Championship Shimizu held with Strong Machine J & U-T is now VACANT. Determination match between BxB Hulk, Susumu Yokosuka & Kagetora and KAI, ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato to crown new champions will be held Sunday at THE FINAL GATE 2024 in Fukuoka.

Dtagon Gate kicked off the annual KING OF GATE Tournament today, which will determine the top singles wrestler in the promotion. The tournament is round-robin format with 3 blocks of 6 participants
