Dragon Gate held their last house show today before they head back to Kobe for Kobe Pro Wrestling Festival weekend.

Today’s event was held at Tsuyuhashi Sports Center in Nagoya. There is/was no live or on demand broadcast.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced.

There were several last-minute changes to the card due to no Shun Skywalker. Knee injury.

Match 1: YAMATO, Dragon Kid & Susumu Yokosuka beat Yuki Yoshioka, Dragon Dia & Ryoya Tanaka. Yokosuka pinned Yoshioka.

Match 2: Kagetora beat Ho Ho Lun.

Match 3: Ultimo Dragon & Flamita beat Luis Mante & Bendito. Dragon pinned Bendito with La Magistral.

Match 4: U-T, Strong Machine J & Kzy beat Madoka Kikuta, ISHIN & Homare. U-T pinned ISHIN after Passion.

Match 5: Kota Minoura, Jason Lee, KAI & Yoshiki Kato beat Hyo, Ben-K, JACKY KAMEI & Riiita. Kato pinned Riiita.

Main Event: YAMATO won a 25 man battle royal, last eliminating ISHIN.

The next event is Saturday at Kobe Art Center in Kobe, to be followed immediately by a special fan gathering event before Kobe Pro Wrestling Festival on Sunday. For the actual wrestling event happening first, live streaming on DRAGONGATE NETWORK will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET.

Dragon Gate has announced an injury change to tomorrow’s event, and if it lingers it’s significant for next weekend-Shun Skywalker is now off. Right knee. Status uncertain beyond tomorrow. This is very significant because he is supposed to face Open The Dream Gate Champion YAMATO for the title Sunday at Kobe Pro Wrestling Festival, Dragon Gate’s biggest annual event. We’ll see what happens.

In other news, apparently Osaka Prefectural Gym, which is also known in Japan as Edion Arena Osaka, is either closed or will soon be closing temporarily for repairs, which is forcing a change of plans for THE GATE OF DESTINY 2025, their major November event there at the start of November. It has now been moved to the smaller Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 and will now take place over 2 days, November 2 & 3. Tickets had not yet gone on sale so no need for refunds-the current on-sale date is 7/20.

Match 2: Riiita beat Mochizuki Junior. Before the match began, ISHIN announced the winner would get a new Nintendo Switch 2. But it was a fake as the box only contained a photo of ISHIN wearing only a towel.
