Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling 1/18/2026 LIVE Results (Updated)

Dragon Gate continues the Open The New Year Gate 2026 Tour today with their first visit to Tokyo this year, unusual because it’s both a weekend event and a morning matinee for their monthly mid-major event. In fact, it’s the first EVER such Sunday morning Tokyo event for the promotion! The event is highlighted by an All-Asia Tag Team Championship match as ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato, having won the titles recently in All-Japan Pro Wrestling, will defend them today against Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii, with the match being under PWF (All-Japan) rules and All-Japan referee Krohei Wada being the referee. In the main event, BIGBOSS Shimizu faces Kzy after Shimizu, recently returned from a nearly-year-long absence for potential disciplinary reasons, betrayed Natural Vibes right after his return and it’s built up to this showdown today.

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on DRAGONGATE NETWORK in Japanese & English. You can also watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube. As is usually the case here, there are 7 matches on the card and I would anticipate the running time to be a little longer than a normal Korakuen event, probably close to 3 hours (including a probable intermission in the second half).

Today’s lineup:
Ryoya Tanaka & Marcus Mathers vs. Strong Machine J & U-T
Ultimo Dragon, Daiki Yanagiuchi, Akihiro Sahara & Kazuma Kimura vs. Naruki Doi, Toru Owashi, Problem Dragon & Punch Tominaga
Homare & El Cielo vs. Kota Minoura & Jason Lee
Hyo, Ben-K, JACKY KAMEI, Riiita & Mochizuki Junior vs. YAMATO, KAGETORA, Dragon Kid, BxB Hulk & Susumu Yokosuka
Yuki Yoshioka & Dragon Dia vs. Madoka Kikuta & KAI
All-Asia Tag Team Champions ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato s. Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii for the titles. Match held under All-Japan/PWF rules with Kyohei Wada as referee
BIGBOSS Shimizu vs. Kzy

Updates below will begin at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin 15 minutes before the event.

6:15 PM PT UPDATE: Live update begin now.

We are LIVE from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Commentary should begin soon. This is or may be a live GAORA SPORTS broadcast in Japan. Your hosts are Katsuya Ichikawa & Genki Horiguchi.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The crowd is still filing in but it looks like a close to full capacity setup with extra chairs around the ring and in front of the bleachers. I haven’t been able to check what advance ticket sales are like but they are up against sumo today, however I’ll still predict they’ll do around 1200. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 1556, a legit sellout with standing room only overflow)

The matches should begin in 20-30 minutes. The opening announcements begin about 7 minutes before event start time.

The event begins at 6:35 PM PT/9:35 PM ET. Madoka Kikuta & his heel faction come out first for a heel promo. Notably missing? BIGBOSS Shimizu. ISHIN mentioning him gets interrupted by Kzy, who storms to the ring. The heels leave soon after leaving Kzy to finish the promo. He then brings out Strong Machine J & U-T for the Natural Vibes dance & song before their match. And with that…

The matches begin at 6:40 PM PT/9:40 PM ET.

Match 1: Ryoya Tanaka & Marcus Mathers vs. Strong Machine J & U-T. 15 minute time limit
Result: Ryoya Tanaka & Marcus Mathers beat Strong Machine J & U-T. Mathers pinned U-T after a 450 splash.

Match 2: Ultimo Dragon, Daiki Yanagiuchi, Akihiro Sahara & Kazuma Kimura vs. Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer), Toru Owashi (DDT), Problem Dragon & Punch Tominaga. 15 minute time limit
Result: Ultimo Dragon, Daiki Yanagiuchi, AKihiro Sahara & Kazuma Kimura beat Naruki Doi, Toru Owashi, Problem Dragon & Punch Tominaga. Yanagiuchi pinned Tominaga.

Ryoya Tanaka is now the guest on commentary, replacing Horiguchi.

Match 3: Homare & El Cielo vs. Kota Minoura & Jason Lee. 20 minute time limit
Result: Kota Minoura & Jason Lee beat Homare & El Cielo. Minoura pinned Homare after Golden Rose. Afterwards, Kato with microphone. The heels unmasked Cielo during the match and Kato taunted Cielo with his mask.

Match 4: Hyo, Ben-K, JACKY KAMEI, Riiita & Mochizuki Junior vs. YAMATO, KAGETORA, Dragon Kid, BxB Hulk & Susumu Yokosuka. 30 minute time limit
Result: Hyo, Ben-K, JACKY KAMEI, Riiita & Mochizuki Junior beat YAMATO, KAGETORA, Dragon Kid, BxB Hulk & Susumu Yokosuka. Hyo pinned KAGETORA after Samson Driver.

Kazuma Kimura is now the guest on commentary, replacing Tanaka.

Match 5: Yuki Yoshioka & Dragon Dia vs. Madoka Kikuta & KAI. 45 minute time limit
Result: Yuki Yoshioka & Dragon Dia beat Madoka Kikuta & KAI. Yoshioka pinned KAI after High Fly Flow. (Yoshioka is from Gifu just like the nam whose legacy it seems he will try to carry on, Hiroshi Tanahashi). Afterwards, Yoshioka with microphone. Sounds like an Open The Dream Gate Championship challenge issued to Kikuta. GM Ryo Saito hits the ring to make it official. That match will happen on 2/23 at Fukuoka International Center in Fukuoka.

Susumu Yokusuka is now the guest on commentary, replacing Kimura.

Match 6: All-Asia Tag Team Champions ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato s. Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii for the titles. Match held under All-Japan/PWF rules with Kyohei Wada as referee. 1 Hour time limit
Result: Masaaki Mochizuki & Don Fujii beat All-Asia Tag Team Champions ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato to win the titles. Mochizuki & Fujii become the 129th All-Asia Tag Team Champions. Fujii pinned ISHIN.

Dragon Dia is now the guest on commentary for the final match.

Main Event: BIGBOSS Shimizu vs. Kzy. 1 Hour time limit
Result: BIGBOSS Shimizu beat Kzy
Shimizu has definitely slimmed down a lot during his absence and is much more ripped muscle-wise. Afterwards, his closing heel promo was interrupted by Shun Skywalker coming out. His full-face mask muffled his words on microphone a bit but he clearly emphasized he was challenging Shimizu to a match. (UPDATE: That match will happen on 2/5) Both heel factions got into a brawl as Ryo Saito returned to ringside and the fighting on both sides continued into the backstage area. Kzy rolled back into the ring with microphone to finish up the show. It sounded like Kzy was talking about leaving or breaking up Natural Vibes or something along those lines. But this moodiness and worrying was interrupted by Daiki Yanagiuchi coming out. He wants to join them. And after some brief debating, decision made-he’s in. They danced together to the Natural Vibes song to wrap up the event. Today marks the next step up for the young rising star…and in a funny moment, Akihiro Sahara came out wearing a reggae wig to join them.
He wants in too! And it looks like Natural Vibes now has 5 members as the youngsters join the faction and finish with good vibes to send the crowd home happy.

The next event is 1/24 at Act City Hamamatsu in Shizuoka. There will be no live or on demand broadcasts. No more broadcasts this month. Back to streaming on 2/1 for MEMORIAL GATE 2026 in WAKAYAMA.

Dragon Gate 1/9/2026 Results

Dragon Gate rant he second half of their year-opening doubleheader today in Kobe.

Today’s event was held at Kobe Sambo Hall in Kobe and can be watched on demand on DRAGONGATE NETWORK. You can also watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube.

The paid attendance has not yet been announced.

There was a last-minute change to the card today because of the announcement that BIGBOSS Shimizu, who has been inactive for most of the last year due to an investigation over potential breach of contract, would make his return today. A planned 6-man tag match became an 8-man tag as a result. Shimizu aligned himself with Natural Vibes for his return and going forward.

Match 1: Hyo, JACKY KAMEI, Riiita & Mochizuki Junior beat Ryu Fuda, Daiki Yanagiuchi, Akihiro Sahara & Kazuma Kimura. KAMEI pinned Yanagiuchi after JFK.

Match 2: BxB Hulk, KAGETORA & Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer) beat Masaaki Mochizuki, Yasushi Kanda & Demus. Hulk pinned Kanda after First Flash.

Match 3: Shun Skywalker beat Jiro Shinbashi in 13 seconds.

Match 4: ISHIN won a 9 man battle royal.

Match 5: Yuki Yoshioka, Dragon Dia & Ryoya Tanaka beat YAMATO, Dragon Kid & Susumu Yokosuka. Yoshioka pinned Kid after High Fly Flow.

Match 6: Madoka Kikuta, Kota Minoura, Jason Lee & KAI beat Strong Machine J, Kzy, U-T & BIGBOSS Shimizu. Kikuta pinned Kzy. The finish came after Shimizu possibly turned on Natural Vibes.

Main Event: Yuki Yoshioka beat El Ciero.

The next event is a same-day doubleheader Sunday at Nagoya International Legend Hall in Nagoya. Both events are legit advance sellouts. Live streaming on DRAGONGATE NETWORK will begin Saturday at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET for the first event and Sunday at 1 AM PT/4 AM ET for the second event.

In other news, it was announced that the promotion will return to the USA as part of The Collective 2026 on 4/15 at the Horseshoe Casino & Resort in Las Vegas, NV, part of the now-annual WrestleMania week series of independent events before the WWE flagship event. As perhaps part of this, independent US wrestler Marcus Mathers will make his Dragon Gate debut on 1/18 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and will be part of D’Courage while in Japan. New Japan is also set for The Collective with an El Desperado Produced event.

Injury Report: Maybe this is why that match went just 13 seconds-Shun Skywalker is now off both events tomorrow. Shoulder.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Yesterday’s attendance was just reported as 461 so based on that, and the second hals of doubleheaders usually drawing a little better, I’ll predict about 500. News: 2025 PWI Tag Team 100 Announced (SPOILERS!)

The last of what is now a year-end awards trilogy from Pro Wrestling Illustrated came out today, as we go down from 500 (wrestlers) to 250 (women) and now 100 (tag teams). The second PWI Tag Team 100 list was revealed today and features both men’s and women’s teams. Naturally I’ve browsed the list already so below are the top ranked teams and how various Japan-based teams fared.

Because this is only in digital format and the print edition will not be out for another 3 weeks or so, those waiting for the latter should stop here to avoid SPOILERS! Otherwise, click below.

Dragon Gate Pro Wrestling 12/7/25 LIVE Results

Dragon Gate wraps up a tripleheader weekend in Hokkaido today with the 4rd and last of a 3-event BxB Hulk/Kzy hometown set. It’s become more than just normal house shows because it’s kicked off a tournament to crown new Open The Triangle Gate Champions after previous champions Shun Skywalker, Homare & Gianni Valetta had to vacate the titles because of a Homare injury. The tournament is a round-robin format with 5 participating teams, and at the end the top two teams will meet in the Finals for the titles. Today will feature the third match of the tournament and second for both participating trios.

Today’s event will be held at Sapporo E-One Arena in Hokkaido and can be watched LIVE on DRAGONGATE NETWORK. You will also be able to watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube. There will be no commentary on the main feed but an alternate feed with wrestler commentary will also be available. There are only 5 matches scheduled but that does not include a planned exhibition match so with that and presumably an intermission along the way the event should have a total running time of just over 2 hours.

Today’s lineup:

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin 15 minutes before the event.

7:45 PM PT UPDATE: The player commentary version stream has begun. The no commentary version should begin shortly. And with that…

We are LIVE from Sapporo E-One Stadium in Hokkaido, Japan. There is no commentary. (Yet for the wrestler version, that starts with the first match).

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. The first event Friday night did just under 400, I haven’t seen yesterday’s yet but today already looks like a near sellout. It’s a small venue but from what I see so far I’ll up what was going to be my original prediction of around 450 to closer to 500. (After the first match I only saw about 5-10 empty seats) (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 482)

Opening announcements underway as of 7:50 PM PT/10:50 PM ET. The matches should begin in about 15 minutes.

8 PM PT UPDATE: The YouTube broadcast has begun. As usual it’s only the first match. For now the DRAGONGATE NETWORK stream is wrestler commentary only, they did have some technical difficulties Friday with the no commentary version and there currently is not a no commentary version of yesterday’s event available on demand.

The matches begin at 8:03 PM PT/11:03 PM ET.

Match 1: Yasushi Kanda & Mochizuki Junior vs. Luis Mante & Ryoya Tanaka. 15 minute time limit
Result: Luis Mante & Ryoya Tanaka beat Yasushi Kanda & Mochizuki Junior. Mante pinned Junior after MGK.

The YouTube broadcast ends here. Also noticed clearly some changes to the card from above. Apparently the original post inadvertently listed yesterday’s lineup instead of today’s. There are 6 matches scheduled today, no exhibition match.

Match 2: Genki Horiguchi vs. Jiro Shinbashi. 15 minute time limit (this is/will be a comedy match)
Result: Genki Horiguchi beat Jiro Shinbashi

Match 3: Hyo, Ben-K, JACKY KAMEI & Riiita vs. Kota Minoura, Jason Lee, ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato. 20 minute time limit
Result: Kota Minoura, Jason Lee, ISHIN & Yoshiki Kato beat Hyo, Ben-K, JACKY KAMEI & Riiita. Minoura pinned Riiita after a sitout piledriver.

Match 4: Dragon Dia (in Dragon Kid mask & gear for entrance) & Yuki Yoshioka vs. Susumu Yokosuka & KAGETORA. 30 minute time limit
Result: Dragon Dia & Yuki Yohsioka beat Susumu Yokosuka & KAGETORA. Dia pinned KAGETORA after DDDDT.

Intermission. (Starting at 9 PM PT/midnight ET)

The matches resume at 9:15 PM PT/12:15 AM ET.

Match 5: Shun Skywalker & Gianni Valletta vs. Madoka Kikuta & KAI. 45 minute time limit
Result: Shun Skywalkier & Gianni Valletta beat Madoka Kikuta & KAI. Valletta pinned Kikuta after a King Kong lariat. Afterwards, Valletta with microphone. In English, he vowed to beat him again next week for the Open The Dream Gate Championship (side note: I thought Valletta was from Italy but it turns out he’s actually from Malta). Kikuta responded in Japanese. Valletta earned the title shot by winning the KING OF GATE Tournament.

Main Event: Open The Triangle Gate Championship Tournament: Strong Machine J, Kzy & U-T vs. YAMATO, Dragon Kid & BxB Hulk. 20 minute time limit
Result: Time Limit Draw. 1 point for each in the standings.

The next event is tomorrow at Sendai Sun Festa in Sendai. There will be no live or on demand broadcast.
