GLEAT 7/1/23 Results

GLEAT ran their 2nd Anniversary event yesterday, which likely was their biggest event of the year with a mix of G PROWRESTLING and Lidet UWF matches.

Yesterday’s event was held at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo and can be watched on demand FOR FREE on YouTube.

The announced paid attendance was 1279.

Matches 1-7 were G PROWRESTLING matches, while Matches 8-10 were Lidet UWF bouts.

Match 1: Issei Onitsuka & Yusuke Kodama beat Shigehiro Irie & Junjae. Kodama pinned Junjae with La Magistral.

Match 2: Quiet Storm, Galeno Del Mar & HANAOKA beat Emperador Azteca, El Bendito & MAZADA. Galeno pinned MAZADA with Galeno Special.

Match 3: G INFINITY Champions Jun & Rei Saito (All-Japan) beat Kaz Hayashi & Minoru Tanaka to retain the titles. Rei Saito pinned Tanaka after a diving body press. V1 for the champs.

Match 4: Michiko Miyagi, Aoi, Risa Sera & Janai Kai beat Yukari Hosokawa, Sayaka Unagi, Itsuki Aoki & Rydeen Hagane. Miyagi pinned Hosokawa after a tombstone piledriver. After the match, Miyagi announced she will be changing her ring name among other things. That will be revealed on 8/4 at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo.

Match 5: In a Loser Unit Dissolution Match, Ryuichi Kawakami, Hayato Tamura, Check Shimatani & KAZMA SAKAMOTO beat Tetsuya Iczichi, Jun Tonsho & Keiichi Sato.Tamura pinned Izuchi after Hayato Orchestra. As a result, 60seconds must disband. And yes, apparently it was a handicap match with an unfair advantage for Bulk Orchestra.

Match 6: GLEAT 2nd Anniversary Match: El Lindaman, Kento Miyahara (All-Japan) & Chihiro Hashimoto (Sendai Girls) beat Yutani, Flamita & Kotaro Suzuki. Lindaman pinned Yutani with a tiger suplex hold.

Match 7: G-REX Champion T-Hawk beat Soma Watanabe to retain the title. V2 for T-Hawk. Next up: Hayato Tamura. That match likely will happen on 8/4.

Match 8: Lidet UWF Single Bout: Maya Fukuda beat Azusa Inaba by KO.

Match 9: Lidet UWF Double Bout: Yu Iizuka & Ayato Yoshida vs. Shinya Aoki & Hikaru Sato went to a 20 minute time limit draw.

Main Event: Fujita “Jr.” Hayato beat Lidet UWF Champion Takanori Ito by ref stoppage to win the title. Hayato becomes the second Lidet UWF Champion.

The next event is G PROWRESTLING Ver. 56 on 7/16 at Umeda Sky Building Stellar Hall in Osaka. There will likely be no live broadcast.

Also not mentioned in results but announced for 8/4: Kota Ibushi participation. Yes, THAT Kota Ibushi (who hasn’t been seen since he unceremoniously left New Japan following an injury suffered in the 2021 G1 CLIMAX Finals). He has been reportedly linked to All Elite Wrestling but that hasn’t happened and seems very unlikely.

GLEAT 6/24/23 Results

GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event today, the final event before their major 2nd Anniversary event next weekend.

The announced paid attendance was 311.

Match 1: Yutani & El Bendito beat Takanori Ito & Issei Onitsuka. Bendito pinned Onitsuka after a shooting star press.

Match 2: Yusuke Kodama beat Yu Iizuka, This was listed as a 3-way on the GLEAT website’s results page but it appears not to have been a 3-way.

Match 3: Sayaka Unagi & AKARI beat Rydeen Hagane & Yukari Hosokawa. Unagi pinned Hosokawa.

Match 4: Soma Watanabe beat Junjie (?).

Match 5: Flamita & Hartley Jackson beat Ryuichi Kawakami & Check Shimatani. Flamita pinned Shimatani after Phoenix Splash.

Match 6: Kaz Hayashi, Minoru Tanaka & Seiichi Ikemoto beat Jun & Rei Saito & KONO (All-Japan Pro Wrestling). Tanaka pinned KONO after Minoru Special.

Match 7: T-hawk & El Lindaman beat Kotaro Suzuki & Emperador Azteca. Lindaman pinned Suzuki with a German suplex hold.

Main Event: Hayato Tamura, KAZMA SAKAMOTO & Quiet Storm beat Tetsuya Izuchi, Jun Tonsho & Keiichi Sato. Tamura pinned Tonsho after a lariat.

The next event is GLEAT Ver. 6-2nd Anniversary Tournament on 7/1 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo. Broadcast plans TBA but the prior TDC Hall events, including the debut event and the 1st Anniversary event, were PPVs in Japan and if that’s the case, YouTube won’t get on demand for probably 3-6 months.

GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event today, continuing the build to their annual July anniversary event just 2 weeks away now.

Today’s event was held at Umeda Stellar Hall in Osaka and likely will be available on demand on YouTube in a few days. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 247.

Match 1: Kaz Hayashi, Minoru Tanaka & Keiichi Sato beat Ryuichi Kawakami, Check Shimatani & Quiet Storm. Sato pinned Shimatani.

Match 2: Yuya Susumu beat Yu Iizuka.

Match 3: Sayaka Unagi & Yukari Hosokawa beat Isuki Aoki & Momoka Hanazono. Unagi pinned Aoki.

Match 4: Yutani & El Bendito beat El Lindaman & Junjie. Yutani pinned Junjie after TE MATO.

Match 5: Tetsuya Izuchi & Jun Tonsho beat Hayato Tamura & KAZMA SAKAMOTO. Izuchi beat Tamura with an armbar.

GLEAT 5/21/23 Results

GLEAT ran their latest G PROWRESTLING event yesterday, headed almost all the way across Japan back to Osaka after visiting Hokkaido recently.

Yesterday’s event was held at Umeda Stellar Hall in Osaka and will be available on demand on YouTube tomorrow beginning at 4:30 AM PT/7:30 AM ET. There was no live broadcast. The video will be posted here tomorrow morning.

The announced paid attendance was 233.

Match 1: Takanori Ito & Yusuke Kodama beat Minoru Tanaka & Keiichi Sato. Kodama pinned Sato after Sky Drop.

Match 2: Oji Shiiba beat Check Shimatani. Shimatani was a replacement for the injured KAZMA SAKAMOTO (thigh inflammation).

Match 3: Mika Iwata (Sendai Girls) & Yurika Oka beat Sayaka Unagi & Yukari Hosokawa. Oka pinned Hosokawa after a swivel type flying body press.

Match 4: Kaito Ishida, Yutani & Hartley Jackson beat T-Hawk, El Lindaman & Yu Iizuka. Ishida pinned Iizuka with a half tiger suplex hold.

Match 5: Issei Onitsuka beat Kaz Hayashi. As a result, Onitsuka joins the Yanzu Family faction.

Match 6: Soma Watanabe beat Ryuichi Kawakami.

Main Event: G INFINITY Champions Hayato Tamura & Check Shimatani beat Tetsuya Izuchi & Jun Tonsho to retain the titles. Shimatani pinned Tonsho after a reverse strike. V6 for the champs. Next up: Jun & Rei Saito from All-Japan Pro Wrestling. That match will happen on 6/7.

The next event is GLEAT Ver EX “FACE OFF” ACCESS 2 TDCH on 6/7 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo which will also feature the finals of the Lidet UWF Championship Tournament to crown the first champion. Broadcast plans TBA but it almost certainly will stream live on YouTube.

GLEAT returned to Tokyo today for the latest G PROWRESTLING event, the 51st as they draw closer to their major summer event on July 1 (the GLEAT 2nd Anniversary event).

Today’s event was held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on YouTube. Match 1: Takanori Ito & Masato Kamino beat Kaz Hayashi & Issei Onitsuka. Ito pinned Onitsuka with a German suplex hold.

Match 2: Sayaka Unagi beat Yukari Hosokawa by submission.

Match 3: Yusuke Kodama beat Jun Tonsho & Shinsuya (?) in a 3-way by beating Tonsho.

Match 4: Jun & Rei Saito (All-Japan Pro Wrestling) beat Minoru Tanaka & Yu Iizuka. Rei Saito pinned Iizuka after Drill-A-Hole Piledriver.

Match 5: T-Hawk & El Lindaman vs. Tetsuya Izuchi & Soma Watanabe went to a 20 minute time limit draw.
