Mickie James is concerned about Tommy Dreamer getting them a mixed tag match next week and so is Jordynne Grace.

Eddie Edwards is here and alive! During his promo PCO enters but Kenny King attacks PCo frmo behind with a shovel and the beatdown is on.But PCO quickly comes back to life and fights back until Edwards tries a chair shot as PCO tries to chokeslam King. They keep beating down PCO and use the ring stairs to pin him against the corner before he comes to life again. King gets choketossed across the ring before a Singapors cane shot from Edwards allows King to come off the top and take PCO down and the beatdown resumes until they finally seem to keep PCO down.

Impact Wrestling 3/9/23 Results

Here are the quick results from tonight’s TAPED Impact Wrestling from Las Vegas, NV:

The pre-show YouTube match was Raj Singh & Shera vs. Rich Swann & Frankie Kazarian.

Bully Ray comes out to open. He called out Tommy Dreamer about a Busted Open match Bully says will never happen. Santino Marella comes out. He calls him Bobby Ray and the crowd starts chanting. Santino then makes the match official for Sacrifice because Tommy will be cleared and there. Bhupinder Gujjar them comes out. He speaks foreign (Hindi?) first. Santino “translates” and makes Gujjar-Bully for right now. The crowd loves Bobby Ray. Which led to…

Match 1: Bhupinder Gujjar beat Bully Ray by DQ. Low blow. Tommy Dreamer tried to make the save but Masha Slamovich came out to assist Bully, which brought Mickie James out. She hit Bully with a Singapore Cane and went after Slamovich but Bully recovered and went for a chokeslam on Mickie with a chain but Tommy recovered and made the save with a chair.

PCO promo.

Josh Alexander recruits Rich Swann to be on his team in a 6-man tag at Sacrifice, then Steve Maclin wants in. But Alexander already chose Frankie Kazarian, who walks in. They’ll face Time Machine.

Match 2: Rhino beat Sami Callihan.

Trey Miguel tries to talk to Santino about Sacrifice and gets himself a mystery opponent for the PPV. And then, assuming he remains champion, he will be in an upcoming 6-way for the X Division Championship. That match will be on 3/30 at the Impact/New Japan crossover PPV.

Match 3: Jordynne Grace beat Alex Gracia. Squash.

Moose confronts Joe Hendry backstage. Immediate ambush from behind and beatdown by Moose & Brian Myers.

Bullet Club with KENTA walks through backstage including a brief challenge-in-passing from Shane Haste before talking to Alexander/Swann/Kazarian. Kazarian proposes a 6-man tag for next week.

Match 4: KUSHIDA beat Jonathan Gresham by submission.

Killer Kelly promo. She calls out Taylor WIlde. Wilde played games with tarot cards, leading to KiLynn King sneaking in and attacking Wilde from behind with a chair and laying her out.

Backstage Death Dollz surround King. Wilde soon joins in as Death Dollz continue taunting them.

Eddie Edwards out in the dark in the desert looking for PCO. Cinematic fight begins between them. PCO lays out Edwards and drags him by an arm through the desert and begins to bury Edwards alive. Until a car suddenly zooms in and hits PCO. We don’t see the driver as Edwards gets in and they escape. To Be Continued?

Added to 3/30: KENTA vs. Minoru Suzuki.

Deonna Prurazzo joins commentary.

Main Event: Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James beat Gisele Shaw to retain the title. This pretty much guarantees James vs. Grace for the title at Sacrifice on 3/24.

Next week: Jonathan Gresham & Mike Bailey vs. Decay, Steve Maclin vs. Heath, Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions Deah Dollz vs. Taylor Wilde & KiLynn King for the titles and Bullet Club vs. Alexander/Kazarian/Swann.

Impact also announced Under Siege, their May PPV, will be on 5/26 in London, Ontario, Canada with the fallout TV tapings on 5/27. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. This will be an Impact+/YouTube Ultimate Insider/FITE live event (included with paid subscription for first two, $9.99 on FITE).

Impact Wrestling 3/2/23 Results

Here are the quick results from tonight’s TAPED Impact Wrestling from Las Vegas, NV (this episode was taped Saturday and starts the fallout from Friday’s No Surrender PPV):

Pre-show match (Before The Impact on YouTube): Heath & Rhino beat Decay.

Usual opening is replaced with No Surrender highlights.

Ace Austin & Chris Bey promo. Motor City Machine Guns eventually interrupt. They make and seemingly accept a challenge for the Impact Tag Team Championship tonight. The match was officially announced as a promo graphic during the first match below.

Shane Haste interviewed backstage.

Rich Swann interviewed backstage. Interrupted by Shera & Singh passing out $100 bills. Challenge by Swann rebuffed.

Match 1: Mike Bailey beat Shane Haste. Excellent opener.

The Design talk backstage, interrupted by Rhino. Sami Callahan steps in and they are nose-to-nose. Potential challenge issued by Rhino.

Match 2: Kenny King beat Kevin Knight.

Highlights from New Japan’s 2/18 US event that led to Josh Alexander vs. KUSHIDA at the New Japan/Impact crossover event on 3/30, which is scheduled to be for the Impact World Championship. Alexander interviewed. He challenges KUSHIDA to a 6-man tag at the Sacrifice PPV later this month-KUSHIDA & MCMG vs. Alexander & 2 partners of his choice. Steve Maclin then interrupts. Alexander is to defend the title against Maclin at Rebellion in April in Toronto, Canada.

Highlights from the Busted Open Live segment at No Surrender. Doctor says Tommy Dreamer will be fine but he & Santino Marella are interrupted by Bully Ray. He asks is the “fat bastard” is gonna live (funny reference to “The Fat & The Furious” when he & Tommy host Busted Open without Dve LaGreca. HA!) Bully then runs into Bhupinder who threatens Bully. Bully slaps Bhupinder before walking away as Bhupinder is EN FUEGO.

Mickie James comes out. She calls out Jordynne Grace but gets Gisele Shaw (with Savannah Evans) instead. This led to James challenging Shaw but Gail Kim interrupted. Kim makes it official and for the Knockouts Championship! Only question is when. (Note that I HAVE NOT read spoilers from last weekend’s tapings so I do not know everything that will happen over the next month)

Brian Myers backstage. He’s trying to push some podcast or similar when Moose interrupts. He wants to help Myers win the Impact Digital Media Championship to get revenge on Joe Hendry.

Jordynne Grace confronts Santino bout the match Kim just made, which will be next week. Grace wants to invoke her rematch clause after that, and Santino grants it for Sacrifice on 3/24. Then Johnny Swinger interrupts. Santino allows him to have essentially an open challenge for anyone on the roster.

Match 3: PCO beat Impact X Champion Trey Miguel in a NON-TITLE match by DQ. Eddie Edwards interference, again attacking PCO with a shovel. Which this time did absolutely nothing but make PCO angry. PCO proceeded to destroy security. (There was no official announcement so this also may have been declared a no contest. I’m just going by what I saw)

Announced for Sacrifice on 3/24: It’s now official-Grace vs. James/Shaw for the Impact Knockouts Championship.

Main Event: Bullet Club (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) beat Impact World Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) to become THE NEW IMPACT WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS! Austin pinned Shelley after The Fold.

Next week: Rhino vs. Sami Callahan & Jonathan Gresham vs. KUSHIDA.

Director Of Authority Santino Marella comes out first. With microphone. He greets the crowd then heads to commentary for…

Result: Frankie Kazarian beat Kon. Sami Callahan went for a chair shot outside on Kazarian late but it backfired and Kon took the chair shot.

Brian Myers interviewed backstage.

James Mitchell promo from last week’s (not yesterday) Impact setting up the Knockouts Tag Team Title match tonight. And it’s now…

Mickie James interviewed backstage.

Video package for the Busted Open cast drama recently.

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWELCOME…TO BUSTED…OPEN! LIVE on Impact Wrestling! Dave LaGreca (host and creator) comes out as host and moderator-to-be to co-hosts Bully Ray & Tommy Dreamer. As Tommy comes out we see Lars Fr(o)edriksen in the crowd, also known for being at All Elite Wrestling events sometimes. (His band Rancid wrote/performed the song AEW’s Ruby Soho uses as her entrance theme) Both have a minute to talk uninterrupted, Bully goes first because he won a Beat The Clock Challenge on last night’s Impact. He says nothing. Then after a minute-plus he finally says “I’m Sorry” and that’s it. Tommy makes full use of his minute and isn’t buying it. Bully then responds, still trying to play the sympathy card then says it’s over. Tommy fell for it as Bully threw coffee in his face then shoved LaGreca aside and took his stool to Dreamer. Bully taunted Dreamer and wrecked the set to end the segment. DEEEEEEEEEESTROY!

Match 4: Steve Maclin vs. Brian Myers, Heath & PCO in a 4-way for the #1 contender to the Impact World Championship and a likely title shot at Rebellion in April
Result: Steve Maclin beat Brian Myers, Heath & PCO in a 4-way by pinning Heath. As a result, Maclin will get an Impact World Championship shot at Rebellion. PCO was going to win until Eddie Edwards interfered and attacked PCO with a shovel. (This was No DQs)

As refs checked on PCO Trey Miguel came out. With microphone. He is EN FUEGO because he’s the X Champion and isn’t on the card tonight but after name-dropping and complaining he walked close enough to PCO to get laid out by the French-Canadian Frankenstein.

Match 5: Time Machine (KUSHIDA & Motor City Machine Guns) vs. Bullet Club (Ace Austin, Chris Bey, KENTA)
Result: Bullet Club beat Time Machine. Ace Austin pinned Chris Sabin.

Mickie James-Jordynne Grace promo. The rematch is expected as Grace has the right as former champion. But first that depends on…
Match 6: Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James vs. Masha Slamovich for the title
Result: Impact Knockouts Champion Mickie James beat Masha Slamovich to retain the title.

Main Event: Impact World Champion Josh Alexander vs. Rich Swann for the title
Result: Impact World Champion Josh Alexander beat Rich Swann to retain the title. That means Alexander-KENTA tomorrow as part of the fallout TV tapings is for the title.

End Show.
