Injury Report: Pain Before Dishonor

AEW/Ring Of Honor owner Tony Khan took to Twitter a short time ago to announce a major change to ROH’s Death Before Dishonor PPV next Friday-Mark Briscoe, who was to have faced Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship, is now off. Not medically cleared due to injury-knee according to non-AEW/ROH sources, who also say it will likely require surgery. Out indefinitely but surgery means months if that happens. No potential replacement named yet but changes will be announced after next week’s AEW Dynamite, likely meaning at the next TV tapings which now seem to be before & after Collision on Saturdays.

Possible rumored additions to the Supercard Of Honor PPV on 3/31 coming out of this episode are ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe vs. Mark Briscoe for the title and ROH Women’s Champion Athena vs. Yuka Sakazaki for the title. The former seems likely, the latter would prob depend on what happens after tomorrow’s (late tonight US time) Tokyo Joshi Pro event. But Sakazaki will be in Los Angeles for TJPW’s US debut on 3/30 (ROH is there too) so it probably depends on both sides making it work.
