Tokyo Joshi Pro 4/14/24 Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro participated in “Gaisen Sakura Pro Wrestling” today, a special mini-doubleheader with the independent BASARA promotion that also featured a special training class for children between events.

Today’s event was held at a special outdoor stage at Shinjo Village in Okayama and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. There was no live broadcast.

The attendance was not announced because this was a free event, but paid reserved seating was available.

Before the event began, former TJPW wrestler Nodoka Tenma (Yuki Aino’s real-life sister) appeared to greet the crowd.

Match 1: Miu Watanabe beat Haru Kazashiro by submission.

Match 2: Mizuki beat Pom Harajuku.

Match 3: Rika Tatsumi & Nao Kakuta beat Arisu Endo & Mahiro Kiryu. Tatsumi pinned Kiryu after Missile Hip.

Main Event: Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino beat Aja Kong & Raku. Aino pinned Raku after UBV.

The next event is HYPE2, the second Hyper Misao Produced event, Friday at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo. Misao will not participate, however, due to injury. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2:30 AM PT/5:30 AM ET.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 4/13/24 Results (Updated)

Tokyo Joshi Pro is back in Japan after another very successful WrestleMania week excursion to the US and resumes their spring house show tour with an event in Tokyo today, which will be the farewell event for Juria Nagano, who is leaving the promotion and pro wrestling after today’s event. Nagano did not say she is retiring so the door may remain open in the future, but at least for now she is going to be done. Maintaining a part-time schedule, she showed flashes of potential but unfortunately she missed a majority of the last 2 years due to injuries. She also is active as an actress and with other interests so there isn’t much time for wrestling. She will have 2 final matches today, first a trios match then her finale will be a single match against regular partner Moka Miyamoto.

There have been late changes to the event card because Hyper Misao is now off due to injury. Fractured right ankle. She was to have faced Yuki Kamifuku & Uta Takami in a 3-way. It’s now a single match. Also, for those unaware, Miyu Yamashita stayed in the US for another extended excursion and is not expected to return to Japan until mid-June. Maki Itoh also remains in the US for now.

Today’s event will be held at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. The event is a legit advance sellout. Even with anything they may do as a send-off for Nagano this is otherwise a standard house show and should have a running time of around 2 hours.
There is a chance results at the start will be slightly delayed if the New Japan “Windy City Riot” PPV runs long. It starts 3 1/2 hours before this event and it could go 4+ hours.

Today’s lineup:
Yuki Kamifuku vs. Uta Takami
Mizuki & Nao Kakuta vs. Runa Okubo & Haru Kazashiro
Rika Tatsumi, Raku & Chika Nanase vs. Mahiro Kiryu, Toga & Kira Summer
Miu Watanabe, Suzume & Arisu Endo vs. Shoko Nakajima, Wakana Uehara & HIMAWARI
Juria Nagano, Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami vs. Yuki Aino, Pom Harajuku & Shino Suzuki
Juria Nagano vs. Moka Miyamoto

Updates below will begin at 8:30 PM PT/11:30 PM ET.

8:31 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. It’s a legit advance sellout so the number will depend on the setup-the venue’s listed full capacity is 294 but it looks like it’ll be closer to 200. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 294, so it was full capacity)

The matches will begin shortly. Looks like it’s a high-up hard camera only view.

During the opening announcements, Hyper Misao is brought out. She’s on crutches and with a cast/boot on her injured foot. Safe to say she won’t be able to compete at her produced event coming up in just over 2 weeks here. Also, compared to normal the video quality for the stream is not as good as usual. Seems like SD at best where usually the highest quality is HD.

The matches begin at 8:46 PM PT/11:46 PM ET.

Match 1: Juria Nagano, Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami vs. Yuki Aino, Pom Harajuku & Shino Suzuki. 20 minute time limit
Result: Juria Nagano, Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami beat Yuki Aino, Pom Harajuku & Shino Suzuki. Nagano pinned Suzuki after a spinning right head kick. Now on to her final match, which will be the main event.

Match 2: Yuki Kamifuku vs. Uta Takami. 15 minute time limit
Result: Yuki Kamifuku beat Uta Takami

Match 3: Rika Tatsumi, Raku & Chika Nanase vs. Mahiro Kiryu, Toga & Kira Summer. 20 minute time limit
Result: Rika Tatsumi, Raku & Chika Nanase beat Mahiro Kiryu, Toga & Kira Summer. Tatsumi beat Summer with a dragon sleeper.

Match 4: Mizuki & Nao Kakuta vs. Runa Okubo & Haru Kazashiro. 20 minute time limit
Result: Mizuki & Nao Kakuta beat Runa Okubo & Haru Kazashiro. Mizuki pinned Kazashiro with Cutie Special.

Quick break for ring maintenance.

Match 5: Miu Watanabe, Suzume & Arisu Endo vs. Shoko Nakajima, Wakana Uehara & HIMAWARI. 20 minute time limit
Result: Shoko Nakajima, Wakana Uehara & HIMWARI beat Miu Watanabe, Suzume & Arisu Endo. Nakajima pinned Watanabe with a rollup. And there it is…as expected, Nakajima with microphone post-match. Challenge issued. Looks like we’ve got our 5/6 main event. Watanabe’s first Princess Of Princess Championship defense appears set. Then HIMAWARI with microphone. Princess Tag Team Championship challenge issued for herself & Uehara to Suzume & Endo. Uehara with microphone. She’s in too. Endo & Suzume accept. That’s two. Now one burning question left-who will International Princess Champion Yuki Arai presumably defend against on 5/6? (5/6 is YES! WONDERLAND, their annual Golden Week blowout event at Korakuen Hall)

Main Event: Juria Nagano Final Match: Juria Nagano vs. Moka Miyamoto. No time limit
Result: Moka Miyamoto beat Juria Nagano. They went just a few moments over 10 minutes.
Afterwards, Miyamoto with microphone. Time for an emotional farewell to her rival and partner, who she formed a solid team with and Nagano definitely made Miyamoto a better wrestler. It’s sad that Nagano’s injury history the last couple years cost her so much time, they could have been Princess Tag Team Champions had they reached their full potential. After Miyamoto finished, Suzume & Arisu Endo came out to present Nagano with a special photo book followed by Yuki Aino with the traditional flowers. Nagano with microphone to thank the fans and deliver her final farewell. For now at least since she never said this was retirement. Hopefully she will be back someday, she definitely has potential as a Miyu Yamashita-type fighter & striker and made such a good team with Miyamoto. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Sayuri Namba then made the final call to end the show as the roster came out to join Nagano for the customary final group photo in the ring followed by lots of hugs & well-wishes from everyone, and fittingly Miyamoto was the last one before Nagano said one last goodbye.

The next event is “Gaisen Sakura Pro Wrestling” tomorrow at Shinjo Village in Okayama, part of a special doubleheader with Pro Wrestling BASARA. The location is subject to change depending on weather as it is scheduled to be outdoors. There will be no live broadcast.

UPDATE: It’s now official. Both title matches are set for 5/6.

Injury Report: I Am A Wounded Hero

The injury bug strikes Japan again, this time Tokyo Joshi Pro and, in particularly bad timing for their hero, it’s gotten Hyper Misao. Fractured right ankle. Out indefinitely. This also means a planned return to the US on 4/27 is now off. For Saturday’s event she was to have faced Yuki Kamifuku & Uta Takami in a 3-way. It’s now a single match. On Sunday she was to have teamed with Rika Tatsumi to face Arisu Endo & Mahiro Kiryu. Nao Kakuta is the replacement, meaning a 3-way of Mizuki vs. Kakuta & Pom Harajuku in a 3-way is now Mizuki vs. Harajuku.

More as it becomes available.

Tokyo Joshi Pro “GCW vs. TJPW” Results (4/6/24) (Updated)

Tokyo Joshi Pro wraps up their time at The Collective for this year today with a crossover event featuring matches against the women of Game Changer Wrestling (GCW). 6 of the 8 matches are direct crossovers while one match is a TJPW single match and a 6-woman tag match will have both sides on each team. 6 single matches are the majority of the card with 2 tag team matches. The likely main event on paper features Rina Yamashita, Masha Slamovich & Maki Itoh vs. Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima & Yuki AIno. No relation between the Yamashitas for those wondering.

As was the case earlier today/yesterday, there are some last-minute changes because Nao Kakuta is off due to illness and Sawyer Wreck is also off due to injury. Because of that, a planned tag match of Wreck & Allie Katch vs. Mizuki & Kakuta is now Allie vs. Mizuki. SAKI has also been added to the opening TJPW match to make it a 3-way.

Today’s event will be held at Penns Landing Caterers in Philadelphia, PA and can be watched LIVE on TrillerTV/FITE in English only with a Triller+ subscription ($7.99/month or $69.99/year). It will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. Due to a potential scheduling conflict I may be joining this event in progress and watching from the beginning and catching up so there may be near live results instead (if that happens I hope to be no more than 30 minutes behind). (Update: I made it home and got set up with a few minutes to spare, so proper live results) While there seemingly are no time limits the many events at the venue keeps them on a tight clock and near the end they’ll be up against the start of WWE WrestleMania so I imagine that, like several other events so far here, it will probably run just under 2 hours, which puts it up against the first half-hour of WrestleMania.

Today’s lineup:
Suzume vs. Pom Harajuku & SAKI in a 3-way
Session Moth Martina vs. Raku
Dark Sheik vs. Yuki Kamifuku
Steph De Lander vs. Hyper Misao
Shazza McKenzie vs. Arisu Endo
Allie Katch vs. Mizuki
Billie Starkz & Janai Kai vs. Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi
Rina Yamashita, Masha Slamovich & Maki Itoh vs. Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 11:30 AM PT/2:30 PM PT.

11:30 AM PT UPDATE: Live stream begins. We go to the venue in 30 seconds. And right on cue…

We are LIVE from Penns Landing Caterers in Philadelphia, PA. Commentary should join momentarily.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. According to DDT’s website there were some tickets still available but the venue looks close to sold out again. Hopefully it’ll be a sellout of 750 or at worst close. (Based on what I saw during the first match it’s not a sellout. I think it’s gonna be in the 650-700 range). (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 672, a full house/near sellout)

Right to the action. Your hosts are Dave Prazak & Veda Scott. And once again we have STREAMERS!!!

Match 1: Suzume vs. Pom Harajuku & SAKI in a 3-way
Result: Suzume beat Pom Harajuku & SAKI in a 3-way by pinning Harajuku.

Match 2: Session Moth Martina vs. Raku
Result: Session Moth Martina beat Raku. This was a great comedy match, Martina really played along well with Raku’s “sleepy” antics and Raku even got “intoxicated” early on as Martina had a (presumably) empty beer can she brought out with her. The fans didn’t like the result but loved the match.

Match 3: Dark Sheik vs. Yuki Kamifuku
Actually…last-second change of match order, it seems. This will come up later. Which led to…

Match 3 (Take 2): Shazza McKenzie vs. Arisu Endo
Result: Arisu Endo beat Shazza McKenzie

Match 4: Steph De Lander vs. Hyper Misao
Result: Steph De Lander beat Hyper Misao. They went hardcore with some really fun stuff including several moments when they both had skewers stuck in their heads, actually a great look! Naturally the fans hated the result because De Lander is associated with Matt Cardona, who everyone hates.

Alright, try that original Match 3 again…
Match 5: Dark Sheik vs. Yuki Kamifuku
Result: Dark Sheik beat Yuki Kamifuku

Match 6: Billie Starkz & Janai Kai vs. Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi. The entrance music for Watanabe/Tatsumi got botched as they started inadvertently playing Mizuki’s music before the transition and that got a “You F’d Up!” chant from the crowd. Another match order change. Which led to…

Match 6 (Take 2): Allie Katch vs. Mizuki
Result: Mizuki beat Allie Katch

Try that again, take 2…
Match 7: Billie Starkz & Janai Kai vs. Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi.
Result: Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi beat Billie Starkz & Janai Kai. Watanabe pinned Kai after Daydream.

Main Event: Rina Yamashita, Masha Slamovich & Maki Itoh vs. Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino
Result: Rina Yamashita, Masha Slamovich & Maki Itoh beat Miyu Yamashita, Shoko Nakajima & Yuki Aino. Itoh beat Aino with Itoh Punish.

For those keeping score, GCW wins 4-3.

Like yesterday’s TJPW event, this one was a lot of fun even though of course I didn’t like some of the results (no, I’m not a Mizuki or Itoh fan). The match order changes thankfully were no big deal as everything went on as planned and the event ran a neat & tidy 2 hours (they cut away as soon as the main event ended so anything we see post-match will come via fan uploads to the socials). Another event that is definitely worth watching as both GCW and TJPW fans will find plenty to enjoy.

End Show.

In TJPW news from Japan, Yuki Arai’s participation schedule for May & June was announced today, which is subject to change. Hopefully it will because, disappointingly, it’s only 2 events-the next 2 Korakuen Hall events on 5/6 (the annual Golden Week blowout event) and 6/9.

The next event is 4/13 at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo, which will be the final event for Juria Nagano before she leaves TJPW and wrestling. Her final matches will be a trios match then a single match against Moka Miyamoto. The event is a legit advance sellout. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin Friday at 8:30 PM PT/11:30 PM ET with live results scheduled.

Tokyo Joshi Pro “TJPW LIVE IN PHILLY” Results (4/5/24)

Tokyo Joshi Pro is in the US again as part of “The Collective” for a morning matinee today. This is one of two events for TJPW this weekend in the US, the other being a crossover event Saturday with the women of Game Changer Wrestling. 6 matches are on tap for today including participation from semi-regular outsiders and fan favorites including Riho, VertVixen and Viva Van.

There have been last-minute changes to the event because unfortunately Max The Impaler and Nao Kakuta are now off the events. Max is off due to coronavirus, which sadly deprives us of a Wasteland Pom Party reunion as they were to have teamed with Pom Harajuku to face Mizuki & VertVixen. Aja Kong is the replacement. Kakuta did not travel from Japan due to illness. She was to have teamed with Raku to face Yuki Kamifuku & Viva Van. Trish Adora is the replacement.

Today’s event will be held at Penns Landing Caterers in Philadelphia, PA and can be watched LIVE on TrillerTV/FITE in English only with a Triller+ subscription, available for $7.99/month or $69.99/year. You also get unlimited on demand replays. It will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. Because the early start time conflicts with my work schedule and I will have to watch the live stream on my phone due to it, results/updates may be delayed at times. With 6 matches and in spite of possibly no time limits, due to other events possibly at the venue I expect the event’s total running time to be just over 90 minutes, no more than 2 hours.

Today’s lineup:
Hyper Misao vs. Billie Starkz
Shoko Nakajima vs. Rhio
Yuki Kamifuku & Viva Van vs. Raku & Trish Adora
Suzume & Arisu Endo vs. Yuki Aino & Zara Zakher
Aja Kong & Pom Harajuku vs. Mizuki & Vertvixen
Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh vs. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will (hopefully) begin at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET.

8 AM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now…

We are LIVE from Penns Landing Caterers in Philadelphia, PA. No Sayuri Namba today, the regular GCW ring announcer is handling the duties. No commentary yet.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. It’s a legit advance sellout so based on yesterday’s events that should be 750. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was indeed 750)

Up Up Girls out first, just Miu Watanabe & Raku.

The matches begin at 8:10 AM PT/11:10 AM ET. Your hosts are Dave Prazak & Veda Scott. And we have STREAMERS!!!

Match 1: Suzume & Arisu Endo vs. Yuki Aino & Zara Zakher
Result: Suzume & Arisu Endo beat Yuki Aino & Zara Zakher. Suzume pinned Zakher with a rollup.

Match 2: Hyper Misao vs. Billie Starkz
Result: Billie Starkz beat Hyper Misao. Athena interference helped.

Match 3: Yuki Kamifuku & Viva Van vs. Raku & Trish Adora
Result: Yuki Kamifuku & Viva Van beat Raku & Trish Adora. Kamifuku pinned Raku after Fameasser.

Match 4: Aja Kong & Pom Harajuku vs. Mizuki & Vertvixen
Result: Mizuki & Vertvixen beat Aja Kong & Pom Harajuku. Mizuki pinned Harajuku with Cutie Special.

Match 5 Shoko Nakajima vs. Rhio (I unknowingly stated the wrong Riho earlier, this isn’t the Japan/AEW one but the UK one)
Result: Shoko Nakajima beat Rhio

Main Event: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh vs. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe
Result: Miyu Yamashita & Maki Itoh beat Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe. Yamashita pinned Tatsumi after Skull Kick.

Despite no Sayuri Namba and the missing wrestlers who were dearly missed, this was still a fun event that showcased what TJPW is all about. If you missed it, catch a replay on Triller+ if you subscribe, otherwise it will be on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at some point. The entire event ran 110 minutes.

End Show.

The next event is GCW vs. TJPW tomorrow, a crossover event with Game Changer Wrestling. Live streaming on Triller/FITE via the Triller+ subscription package will begin at 11:30 AM PT/2:30 PM ET. I plan to do live results but they may be delayed due to potential schedule conflicts (at worst I’ll join the event in progress and watch from the beginning).

Injury Report: Wasteland Pom Party Cancelled (Updated x2)

Unfortunately the relentless injury/illness bug has followed Japan to “The Collective” in Philadelphia and it’s resulted in very disappointing news for Tokyo Joshi Pro fans-Max The Impaler has announced they are off the weekend’s events and that includes tomorrow’s Tokyo Joshi Pro event. Coronavirus. Max was to have teamed with Pom Harajuku to face Mizuki & VertVixen. Replacement TBA. Max has apologized to the fans on Twitter and asked them to “PLEASE TAKE CARE OF MAX’S POM”, and understandably is very sad that there will be no reunion of the very popular Wasteland Pom Party tomorrow.

More as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Nao Kakuta is now off both events as well. Illness. Did not travel to the US. Updates to come.

UPDATE 2 Aja Kong is the replacement for Max The Impaler. Trish Adora is the replacement for Kakuta and will team with Raku wi face Yuki Kamifuku & Viva Van.

Injury Report: TJPW US Card Now A Wreck

It may be April Fools Day but this is not much more than a bad pun…but it’s also true. The Tokyo Joshi Pro “GCW vs. TJPW” event this week just had changes made because Sawyer Wreck, part of the GCW side, is now off. Unspecified injury. She was to have teamed with Allie Katch to face Mizuki & Nao Kakuta. That match is now Katch vs. Mizuki and what had been a Suzume vs. Pom Harajuku match will now be Suzume & Harajuku vs. Kakuta & SAKI.

The event is scheduled for Saturday at 2:30 PM ET/11:30 AM PT and can be watched live and on demand on TrillerTV/FITE with a Triller+ subscription ($7.99/month or $79.99/year).

Tokyo Joshi Pro 3/31/24 Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro’s biggest event of the year, GRAND PRINCESS ’24, is now in the books.

Today’s event was held at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE in Japanese and English.

The announced paid attendance was 2349. Given the setup (this is only the second time they’ve run the venue-the first was during the pandemic in 2022, they held this event at Ariake Arena last year), and the lower half of the venue was set up for only about 15% of normal capacity, this is actually very good. (The Kokugikan’s lower level box seats normally hold 4-6 people for sumo tournaments, but they used them as single person seats, plus the setup took away one of the 4 sections) The lower level was almost completely sold out.

Match 1: Haru Kazashiro, Runa Okubo & Uta Takami beat Chika Nanase, Kira Summer & Shino Suzuki. Kazashiro pinned Nanase with a fisherman’s suplex hold.

Match 2: Ami Yumoto Debut Match: Nao Kakuta & Ami Yumoto beat Mahiro Kiryu & HIMAWARI. Kakuta pinned HIMAWARI after Shiden Kai. Yumoto is a member of all-girl J-Pop group AKB48, the parent group of the numerous spinoffs like SKE48, and the Guinness World Record holder for biggest music/idol group in terms of members.

Match 3: Raku & Pom Harajuku beat Andreza Giant Panda & Kaya Toribami. Raku pinned Toribami after Doctor Yellow. Panda & Toribami were seconded by Neko Haruna, who is out long-term due to injuries.

An SKE48 mini-live performance was held, featuring Yuki Arai and Marika Tani, who was a special guest on Japanese commentary for WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Tani is about to leave the group so this was one of her final performances with them if not the last (she is what the Japanese call graduating, a polite way of usually saying not fired or retiring, but moving on in her career). (This portion will probably be removed from on demand in about a month, so watch it quickly if you missed it live)

Match 4: Moka Miyamoto & Juria Nagano beat Wakana Uehara & Toga. Miyamoto pinned Toga after Norokan.

Match 5: Masha Slamovich (TNA Wrestling) beat Rika Tatsumi.

Match 6: Aja Kong (OZ Academy) & Max The Impaler beat Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao. Kong pinned Misao after a diving elbow drop.

Match 7: Minoru Suzuki beat Maki Itoh by ref stoppage (technical submission). Post-match, Suzuki continued “breaking” Itoh’s fingers until she apologized for her behavior backstage.

Match 8: Yuka Sakazaki (All Elite Wrestling) & Mizuki beat Emi Sakura (All Elite Wrestling) & Chris Brookes (DDT). Mizuki pinned Sakura after Aquamarine. This was a one-time return for Sakazaki, who left TJPW in December to continue her career internationally, which unfortunately hadn’t really happened yet due to injuries (concussion).

Intermission (15 minutes). It was also announced that the summer blowout event, SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’24, will be held on 7/20 at Korakuen Hall.

Match 9: International Princess Champion Yuki Arai beat Yuki Kamifuku to retain the title. V2 for Arai. The right Yuki won, which makes me very happy.

Match 10: Suzume & Arisu Endo beat Princess Tag Team Champions Yuki Aino & Ryo Mizunami to win the titles. Suzume & Endo become the 16th Princess Tag Team Champions. Suzume pinned Mizunami after Ring A Bell. They lost their prior best chance at the titles due to other wrestler injuries and got put into a 3-way instead that cost them a fair shot at the titles. Now they get redemption.

Main Event: Miu Watanabe beat Princess Of Princess Champion Miyu Yamashita to win the title. Watanabe becomes the 14th Princess Of Princess Champion. TRIPLE CROWN! Watanabe has now become only the second wrestler in TJPW history to win all 3 of the promotion’s titles in her career-the other one is Rika Tatsumi. Her dream has come true…this is also an incredibly big win for Up Up Girls, the promotion’s mini-music group Watanabe is the unofficial leader of. Just wonderful on so many levels, an exciting future to look forward to as TJPW prepares to enter it’s 11th year. Afterwards, all the wrestlers gathered on stage for the closing group photo as Watanabe thanked the fans for coming. Yamashita is now leaving for another extended tour of the US and will not return until at least mid-June.

The next event is TJPW LIVE IN PHILLY Friday at Penns Landing Caterers in Philadelphia, PA, part of Game Changer Wrestling’s “The Collective” taking place over WrestleMania week this next week in the city. Live streaming will be only on Triller+, the paid subscription service of TrillerTV fka FITE, available worldwide for $7.99/month or $79.99/year, beginning at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET. It will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE at a later date. The event is a legit advance sellout. I will try to do live results but will not be able to watch live due to work conflicts. After this TJPW will participate in GCW with a co-branded GCW vs. TJPW event Saturday, also available only on Triller+, at the same venue with that event beginning at 11:30 AM PT/2:30 PM ET. Live results are tentatively scheduled (I have some potential schedule conflicts that morning but hopefully those will be out of the way in time).

Tokyo Joshi Pro 3/22/24 Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro ran a special joint event today with Ganbare Women, possibly the last event for GanJo for the time being with the promotion becoming independent at the end of the month and some of their women’s talent leaving the promotion (namely Yoshiko Hasegawa & Riara).

Today’s event was held at Ueno Park Outdoor Stage in Tokyo and will be available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE Monday. There was no live broadcast.

The announced paid attendance was 137.

Match 1; Mahiro Kiryu & Haru Kazashiro beat Toga & Chika Nanase. Kiryu pinned Nanase after a spinebuster.

Match 2: Rika Tatsumi, Runa Okubo & Uta Takami beat Moka Miyamoto, Wakana Uehara & Kira Summer. Tatsumi pinned Summer after Twist OF Fate.

Match 3: HARUKAZE & Kaya Toribami beat Raku & Shino Suzuki. HARUKAZE pinned Suzuki after Wind Spear.

Match 4: Yuki Kamifuku & YuuRI beat HIMAWARI & Riara. Kamifuku pinned Riara after Fameasser.

Main Event: Yuna Manase & Nao Kakuta beat Shoko Nakajima & Yoshiko Hasegawa. Manase pinned Hasegawa after Suzuki Dynamic.

The next event is GRAND PRINCESS ’24, TJPW’s biggest event of the year, on 3/31 at Ryogoku Kokugikan in Tokyo. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin on 3/30 at 10 PM PT/1 AM ET.

Tokyo Joshi Pro 3/16/24 Results

Tokyo Joshi Pro continues their spring house show tour today with an event in Yokohama. While there is one more event after this before GRAND PRINCESS ’24, this essentially will be the final build for the biggest event of the year as the next event is a separate standalone crossover with Ganbare Women. So today is the last time Moyu Yamashita & Miu Watanabe will be on opposite teams before their 3/31 main event, same for Yuki Aino and Suzume & Arisu Endo (no Ryo Mizunami today. Also no Yuki Arai). It also begins the road to the end of Nao Kakuta’s career as she announced earlier this week she will retire in July to focus on other activities.

There were unannounced last-minute changes for today’s event due to no Hyper Misao. Acute back pain. Status uncertain for 3/31.

Today’s event will be held at Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. This looks like a standard quick-paced house show and should have a total running time of just under 2 hours, even with the presumptive main event likely to go the full 20 minutes, but roughly 2 hours tops.

Today’s lineup:
Rika Tatsumi vs. Mahiro Kiryu & Uta Takami in a 3-way
Kaya Toribami vs. Kira Summer
Maki Itoh & Shino Suzuki vs. Moka Miyamoto & Chika Nanase
Yuki Aino, Raku & Pom Harajuku vs. Suzume, Arisu Endo & HIMAWARI
Wakana Uehara & Toga vs. Haru Kazashiro & Runa Okubo
Miyu Yamashita, Mizuki & Shoko Nakajima vs. Miu Watanabe, Yuki Kamifuku & Nao Kakuta

Refresh this page occasionally for the latest results.

Updates below will begin at 8 PM PT/11 PM ET.

7:58 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now…

We are LIVE from Yokohama Radiant Hall in Yokohama, Japan. There is no commentary.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. Looks like a good crowd so far as the closest seats to the ring are all sold out and sounds good too. Not sure if a sellout or not but I’m thinking 275-300. A legit full capacity sellout would maybe be 350-375. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 277, a legit sellout. So closer to 75% capacity)

The matches should begin in 10-15 minutes. Hard camera only view with the position such that the ropes slightly obstruct view. They had very few announcements and quickly went to Up Up Girls so we’ll be starting matches by 8:10 PM PT.

The matches begin at 8:10 PM PT/11:10 PM PT.

Match 1: Kaya Toribami vs. Kira Summer. 15 minute time limit
Result: Kaya Toribami beat Kira Summer by submission

Match 2: Rika Tatsumi vs. Mahiro Kiryu & Uta Takami in a 3-way. 20 minute time limit
Result: Rika Tatsumi beat Mahiro Kiryu & Uta Takami in a 3-way by beating Takami.

Match 3: Wakana Uehara & Toga vs. Haru Kazashiro & Runa Okubo. 20 minute time limit
Result: Wakana Uehara & Toga beat Haru Kazashiro & Runa Okubo. Uehara beat Okubo with a sleeper hold.

Match 4: Maki Itoh & Shino Suzuki vs. Moka Miyamoto & Chika Nanase. 20 minute time limit
Result: Maki Itoh & Shino SUzuki beat Moka Miyamoto & Chika Nanase. Itoh beat Nanase with Itoh Punish.

Quick break for ring repairs/maintenance. Only about a minute or so.
