In addition to their events in the US today and tomorrow, the Tokyo Joshi Pro wrestlers who remained in Japan will have an event today in Tokyo. The highlight is a unique one-day tournament to determine the next challenger for whoever leaves Las Vegas today as International Princess Champion (Suzume or Jada Stone). It starts as an 8-woman tag match, with the winning team then being split up for a tag match, then the second match winners face off in a single match for the title shot. Teams/pairings will be determined by random draws today.
There also has been a late addition to the card-Pom Harajuku was scheduled to be at the US events but could not make it due to visa issues, so she has been added to this event last-minute and will face Moeka Haruhi.
Today’s event will be held at Kanda Myojin Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. There will be no commentary. With the tournament and the late match add that makes 7 matches total, and the event will probably run a little longer than a normal house show and go about 2 1/4 hours.
Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Kaya Toribami vs. Tabata
Toshiko Hasegawa vs. Kakeru Sekiguchi
Ryo Mizunami & Moka Miyamoto vs. Mahiro Kiryu & Neko Haruna
Pom Harajuku vs. Moeka Haruhi
International Princess Championship Next Challenger Tournament:
Match 1-8-woman tag match. Participants: HIMAWARI, Toga, Haru Kazashiro, Mifu Ashida, Kira Summer, Chika Nanase, Uta Takami, Ivy Steele
Match 2-Match 1 winners face off in a tag match
