Tokyo Joshi Pro wraps up the spring 2025 house show tour today in Tokyo, which sadly means zero hour has come…Sayuri Namba’s final event as MC/ring announcer is today. What otherwise would be a normal house show will be the last time we see her in a TJPW ring, at least for a long time. Rise Suzuki will take over after today but we at least get Namba for a couple more hours in the meantime.
It has already been announced that Mifu Ashida will miss this event due to schedule conflicts. Based on social media posts, she is outside the country doing ambassador work.
Today’s event will be held at Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. The event is a legit advance sellout. There will be no commentary. There are 2 no time limit matches among the 7 matches scheduled so it probably will go longer than the normal house show length, maybe close to 2 1/2 hours. Although, like many TJPW fans, I won’t want it to end. I don’t want to say goodbye to Namba yet.
Today’s lineup (match order TBA):
Tokyo Princess Cup Qualifier Tournament: Wakana Uehara vs. Kira Summer
Tokyo Princess Cup Qualifier Tournament: Toga vs. Ivy Steele
Yuki Kamifuku vs. Yoshiko Hasegawa & Uta Takami in a 3-way
Maki Itoh & Ren Konatsu vs. Raku & Shino Suzuki
Suzume & Arisu Endo vs. Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami
Shoko Nakajima & Chika Nanase vs. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe
Mizuki, Hyper Misao, Yuki Aino & Pom Harajuku vs. Yuki Arai, Mahiro Kiryu, HIMAWARI & Haru Kazashiro

Updates below will begin at 8:30 PM PT/11:30 PM ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin 15 minutes before the event.
Also one more recent occurrence to mention: The April TJPW & DDT events that were part of The Collective in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week are now available on demand on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. Before they were only available on TrillerTV/FITE with a Triller+ subscription.
8:28 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.
We are LIVE from Ryogoku KFC Hall in Tokyo, Japan. There is no commentary.
The paid attendance will be announced after the event. It’s a legit advance sellout so it depends on the setup but should be 400-500. Max capacity for the venue is believed to be 500. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 365)
There has been a last-second change to today’s event-Yuki Kamifuku is now off. Foot injury. The 3-way is now a single match.
During opening announcements a new match was announced for SUMMER SUN PRINCESS ’25 on 7/21: Chris Brookes & Emi Sakura vs. TBA & TBA. (Post-show Update: Also announced was GO GIRL 6, the next women-only event that only female fans can attend, which will be on 9/7 at Kitazawa Town Hall in Tokyo. Also, Wakana Uehara has been added to the next US tour in July but Miyu Yamashita is now off the 7/11 event in Houston, TX. She will appear at a fan event that morning) Additionally, WRESTLE PRINCESS 6, the promotion’s now-second-biggest event of the year, was announced for 9/20 at Ota City General Gym. It was their biggest event of the year until GRAND PRINCESS started.
The matches should begin in 10-15 minutes.
The matches begin at 8:45 PM PT/11:45 PM ET.
Match 1: Tokyo Princess Cup Qualifier Tournament: Wakana Uehara vs. Kira Summer. No time limit

Rise Suzuki gets one more practice round as the ring announcer for the next 2 matches
Match 2: Tokyo Princess Cup Qualifier Tournament: Toga vs. Ivy Steele. No time limit
Result: Ivy Steele beat Toga. As a result, Steele advances to the next round. I think this is Steele’s first official win in TJPW, and it was a great match.
Match 3: Uta Takami vs. Yoshiko Hasegawa. 15 minute time limit
Result: Yoshiko Hasegawa beat Uta Takami by submission
Sayuri Namba returns to announce now.
Match 4: Maki Itoh & Ren Konatsu vs. Raku & Shino Suzuki. 20 minute time limit
Result: Raku & Shino Suzuki beat Maki Itoh & Ren Konatsu. Raku pinned Konatsu after Doctor Yellow.
Match 5: Suzume & Arisu Endo vs. Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami. 20 minute time limit
Result: Suzume & Arisu Endo beat Moka Miyamoto & Kaya Toribami. Suzume pinned Miyamoto after Ring A Bell.
Match 6: Shoko Nakajima & Chika Nanase vs. Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe. 20 minute time limit
Result: Rika Tatsumi & Miu Watanabe beat Shoko Nakajima & Chika Nanase. Tatsumi beat Nanase with a dragon sleeper hold.
Main Event: Mizuki, Hyper Misao, Yuki Aino & Pom Harajuku vs. Yuki Arai, Mahiro Kiryu, HIMAWARI & Haru Kazashiro. 20 minute time limit. During her usual pre-match promo, Misao brought Namba into the ring to do her usual comedy intro and opening trickery since it’s her final match as announcer.
Result: Mizuki, Hyper Misao, Yuki Aino & Pom Harajuku beat Yuki Arai, Mahiro Kiryu, HIMAWARI & Haru Kazashiro. Harajuku pinned Kazashiro after Pomu. Do. Justis. Afterwards, Harajuku with microphone, very emotional as she had Namba return to the ring. A little comedy to start as the emotions continued coming out as the moment has come…time to say goodbye. Rise Suzuki took over announcing to allow Aino & Raku to come in and present the customary celebratory flowers. Then Kiryu & Suzume presented the customary photo album gift. And then…a nosebleed? Kiryu taking emergency tissue action! Then the entire roster gathered in the ring to give her the traditional announcement send-off before the final customary group photo. Understandably no dry eyes in the ring and probably not many in the venue. Kira Summer made sure to ragdoll hug her goodbye before plenty of group hugs from the others. One final goodbye followed to end the show.
We all love Namba and will miss her so much but hopefully our paths will cross again someday. Until that day comes…
The next event is a Hyper Misao Produced event Friday at Kitazawa Town Hall. Live streaming on WRESTLE UNIVERSE will begin at 2:30 AM PT/5:30 AM ET.
