It’s the sad end of an era in Japanese wrestling beginning today as Shinjuku Face, the small but iconic Tokyo venue that has hosted pro wrestling for 21 1/2 years, closes in just 4 days. It’s time for the remaining promotions running there to say goodbye, starting today with Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’s final event there ahead of DDT’s event later today. But it’s also the last event before WRESTLE PRINCESS 7 and thus the last build before their annual other biggest event of the year.
Today’s event will be held at Shinjuku Face in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. The event is a legit advance sellout. There will be no commentary. There are 7 matches planned and they’ll probably run a little longer than usual with being the final event at the venue, but not too long due to the DDT event afterwards. I anticipate it going around 2 1/4 hours.
