DANGEROUS GATE 2025, Dragon Gate’s monthly signature major event, went down earlier today.
Today’s event was held at Ota City General Gym in Tokyo and can be watched on demand on DRAGONGATE NETWORK. You can also watch the first match FOR FREE on YouTube.
The paid attendance has not yet been announced. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 1930)
Match 1: ISHIN beat Homare.
Match 2: Don Fujii, Ryu Fuda, Daiki Yanagiuchi & Akihiro Sahara beat Hyo, JACKY KAMEI, Riiita & Mochizuki Junior. Fuda pinned Junior after Flying Dragon.
Match 3: Ben-K won a 14-man battle royal, last eliminating Kzy.
Match 4: Open The Brave Gate Champion Ryoya Tanaka beat Masaaki Mochizuki to retain the title. V2 for Tanaka.
Match 5: Yuma & Atsuki Aoyagi & Ryo Inoue (All-Japan) beat YAMATO, Dragon Kid & Kazuma Kimura. Inoue pinned Kimura.
Match 6: In a 3 Falls Match, Open The Triangle Gate Champions Luis Mante, Flamita & Bendito beat Dragon Bane, Alpha Wolf & Super Crazy (Pro Wrestling NOAH) 2-1 to retain the titles. V1 for the champs.
Match 7: Yuki Yoshioka & Dragon Dia beat Open The Twin Gate Champions Kota Minoura & Jason Lee to win the titles. Yoshioka & Dia become the 69th Open The Twin Gate Champions. Yoshioka pinned Minoura after High Fly Flow. The post-hair-losing at DEAD OR ALIVE 2025 comeback really takes off now for Yoshioka as he gets some revenge on Z-Brats.
Main Event: Madoka Kikuta beat Open The Dream Gate Champion Shun Skywalker to win the title. Kikuta becomes the 42nd Open The Dream Gate Champion. 2nd reign begins and ends Skywalker’s latest before it even got going. Based on post-match comments translated from Weekly Pro, Z-Brats is all but dead now as Kikuta took pretty much everyone in the faction except Homare (and the occasionally-appearing Gianni Valetta) to form a new faction.
The next event is Thursday at Kumamoto Castle Hall Civic Hall in Kumamoto. There will be no live or on demand broadcast.
