Tokyo Joshi Pro is closing in on GRAND PRINCESS ‘26, their biggest event of the year, with the final major push beginning earlier this week with press conferences, posters going up around Tokyo and now an event today. In the ring the main focus now is on the upcoming match between Miu Watanabe & Yuki Arai for the Princess Of Princess Championship and they’ll continue trading shots & more today. Additionally, it was announced today that TJPW founder/somewhat-owner Sanshiro Takagi will be at the event today and will greet the fans before the matches begin.
Also, while not possibly mentioned, Miyu Yamashita will not be at today’s event due to competing in England for the Pro Wrestling EVE promotion this weekend.
Today’s event will be held at Shin-Kiba 1st Ring in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on WRESTLE UNIVERSE. The event is a legit advance sellout. There will be no commentary. There are 6 matches planned so it probably will still be a “normal” house show with a running time of about 2 hours.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. It’s a legit advance sellout so that should mean the post-pandemic “new normal” of 337. The venue’s full pre-pandemic capacity is/was 600.
The matches should begin in 15-20 minutes. During the opening announcements a new match was added to GRAND PRINCESS ’26 on 3/29: A battle royal for the DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Championship. Anything to put it back on Mahiro Kiryu, I guess. After this, they bring out Sanshiro Takagi. He is here on behalf of event PR Ambassador Super Sasadango Machine and introduces a new idol who apparently will be there (at first glance she looks like a taller version of Raku), didn’t catch her name as the volume on her microphone was too low. Perhaps a match involving DDT wrestler Daichi Sato. Updates to follow. Also, TJPW will have the pre-show match at the DDT Anniversary Event on 3/22 at Korakuen Hall-HIMAWARI, Haru Kazashiro & Chika Nanase vs. Toga, Ren Konatsu & Shion Kanzaki. Which may mean the event
The matches begin at 6:45 PM PT/9:45 PM ET.
Match 1: Kaya Toribami vs. Shion Kanzaki. 15 minute time limit
Result: Kaya Toribami beat Shion Kanzaki by submission. Afterwards, Toribami with microphone. Updates on what she said to follow. Update: Her final match, at least as Kaya Toribami, will be on 3/15 at Ryogoku KFC Hall. Sounds like a potential gimmick change or maybe removing her mask.
Match 2: Rika Tatsumi vs. Mahiro Kiryu & Ren Konatsu in a 3-way. 20 minute time limit. And as it turns out, Tatsumi is the current DDT Iron Man Heavymetalweight Champion so during entrances Kiryu ran backstage to try and win the title bur failed.
Result: Rika Tatsumi beat Mahiro Kiryu & Ren Konatsu in a 3-way by pinning Konatsu.
Match 3: Hyper Misao & Mifu Ashida vs. Suzume & Arisu Endo. 20 minute time limit
