New Japan 6/14/2026 Results (Updated x2)

DOMINION, New Japan’s annual June Osaka blowout event, is now in the books.

Today’s event was held at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka and can be watched on demand OUTSIDE JAPAN ONLY on New Japan World. This event aired as part of WORLD PRO WRESTLING LIVE 2026 exclusively on TV Asahi in Japan.

The announced paid attendance was 6890.

Match 1: NJPW WORLD TV Champion Konosuke Takeshita beat SANADA to retain the title. V4 for Takeshita.

Match 2: In a No DQ Match, Jake Lee beat El Phantasmo by ref stoppage (technical submission).

Match 3: Taichi & Yuya Uemura beat Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr. Taichi pinned Oiwa with a polar star cross hold.

Match 4: El Desperado beat Mistico (CMLL).

Match 5: Aaron Wolf beat NEVER Openweight Champion Ren Narita to win the title. Wolf becomes the 52nd NEVER Openweight Champion.

Match 6: Great-O-Khan & HENARE beat IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions OSKAR (The Grouch) & Yuto Ice (Ice Baby) to win the titles. Khan & HENARE become the 112th IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. HENARE pinned Ice after a great bomb.

Match 7: Shota Umino beat IWGP Global Champion Andrade El Idolo & Drilla Moloney in a 3-way by pinning Andrade to win the title. Umino becomes the 8th IWGP Global Champion. Next up: Possibly Gabriel Kidd, who beat down Umino afterwards.

Match 8: Yoh beat IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion DOUKI to win the title. Yoh becomes the 100th IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion. Next up: If Yoh has his way, a 4-way between Sho, Kosei Fujita, Master Wato & Francesco Akira to determine the next challenger.

Main Event: Yota Tsuji beat IWGP Heavyweight Champion Callum Newman to win the title. Tsuji becomes the 89th IWGP Heavyweight Champion.

On paper this really looks like they hit the reset button from SAKURA GENESIS to take most of things back to after Tokyo Dome with the title changes. Forget record-setting reigns (Newman was the youngest IWGP Heavyweight Champion to date) and AEW champions (Andrade). Will be fun to see how the net reacts to Umino finally winning a title too.

The next event is Friday at Chino Civic Center Multi-Hall in Nagano. There will be no live or on demand broadcast. There will probably be just 2 broadcasts over the next tour which would both be at Korakuen Hall, but there will also be a live broadcast for the next Yuji Nagata Produced event on Saturday.

UPDATE: As of 7:15 PM PT/10:15 PM ET you can now watch the first match (NJPW WORLD TV Championship) FOR FREE on YouTube.

The promotion has also announced part of the field for this year’s G1 CLIMAX Tournament, which officially officially kicks off the Road To Tokyo Dome. This year it will be a 20-man field with 2 blocks of 10 in the usual round-robin format. We now know 14 of the participants:
Block A: Konosuke Takeshita, Yota Tsuji, SANADA, Shingo Takagi, Boltin Oleg, Jake Lee, Hirooki Goto
Block B: Callum Newman, Zack Sabre Jr., Shota Umino, Yuya Uemura, Ren Narita, Drilla Moloney, Gabriel Kidd
That leaves 6 spots, which will be determined as follows, and actually one happened today: Besides winning the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship, Great-O-Khan & HENARE are in as a result. We just don’t know their placements yet. The last 4 will be determined on 6/23 and 7/6 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo..
Takeshita is the defending tournament champion.

UPDATE 2: Khan goes in Block A, HENARE in Block B. The Final 4 will be determined by qualifying matches among 8 participants: Block A matches are Taichi vs. Yuto Ice and El Phantasmo vs. Ryohei Oiwa. Block B matches are YOSHI-HASHI vs. Aaron Wolf and OSKAR vs. Yujiro Takahashi. Winners are in. I think the only toss-up is YOSHI-HASHI vs. Wolf. The rest seem obvious outcome-wise.

Other DOMINION fallout:
The 4-way Yoh wanted to determine his next IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship challenger is set. That match will happen on 6/23 at Korakuen Hall and the title match is 7/6.
Tiger Mask 4’s retirement matches on 7/7 are set. He will have a pair of 5-minute exhibition matches, first vs. Tom Billington then vs. Black Tiger 4 (Rocky Romero).
