All-Japan wrapped up May today with the opener of the Super Power Series, a major event featuring a number of title matches.
Today’s event was held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched in demand on AJPW.TV.
The announced paid attendance was 1355, a legit sellout.
Pre-show: Actress Girls Match-Natsu Aoi & Nagisa Shiotsuki beat Marino Saihara & Yui Tensho. Aoi pinned Tensho with Cutie Special.
Match 1; Shotaro Ashino & Ren Ayabe beat Hokuto Omori & Kumaarashi. Ayabe pinned Omori after Des Roulette.
Match 2: All-Japan 6-Man Tag Team Champions Suwama, Mayumi Ozaki & Maya Yukihi beat Hideki Suzuki, ZONES & ChiChi to retain the titles. Yukihi pinned ZONES after Whirlwind. V2 for the champs.
Match 3: Kuroshio TOKYO Japan beat Yuma Aoyagi.
Match 4: Dan Tamura, Hikaru Sato, Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer) & Fuminori Abe beat Rosing Hayato, Seigo Tachibana, MUSASHI (Michinoku Pro) & Seiki Yoshioka by ref stoppage. Abe beat Hayato.
Match 5: NWA World Heavyweight Champion EC3 beat Ryuki Honda to retain the title.
Match 6: All-Japan World Tag Team Champions Jun & Rei Saito beat Parrow & Odinson to retain the titles. Jun Saito pinned Osinson after DOOM. V1 for the champs.
Main Event: All-Japan Triple Crown Champion Yuma Anzai beat Kento Miyahara to retain the Triple Crown. V1 for Anzai. Next up: TBA but it may be on 8/3. There will be title matches on 8/3, 8/17 and 9/1.
The next event is Saturday at Machida Gym in Tokyo. There will be no live broadcast. It should be available on demand late that evening.
UPDATE: TBA for next for Anzai is set…Hideki Suzuki. That match will happen on 6/24.
