All-Japan Pro Wrestling 1/2/2026 LIVE Results

All-Japan kicks off their 2026 today with the first half of their year-opening New Year’s doubleheader in Tokyo. It’s a major event spread over two days starting with a title match today as the All-Japan World Tag Team Championship as Talos & Ren Ayabe get their rematch with Xyon & Odyssey as their reward for winning the World’s Strongest/Real World Tag League, this time for the titles, then the main event will be the annual year-opening battle royal with everyone participating. They also promise to introduce new roster members-whether this means rookies or free agents, we’ll find out.

Today’s event will be held at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo and can be watched LIVE on AJPW.TV in Japanese. This will also be taped for broadcast on Samurai! TV in Japan at a later date. Even with the title match and battle royal (oddly the intermission won’t be before the main event) I sill anticipate this being in the “standard” Korakuen running time range of 2 1/2-3 hours, closer to 3 hours.

Today’s lineup:
Go Shiozaki vs. Shota Kofuji
Hideki Suzuki, Kengo Mashimo & Hikaru Sato vs. Hokuto Omori, Kumaarashi & Cyrus
Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising Hayato vs. KURAMA & MAZADA
Kento Miyahara, Jun Saito, MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka vs. Yuma Anzai, Ryuki Honda, Shotaro Ashino & Dan Tamura
Intermission
Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Ryo Inoue
All-Japan World Tag Team Champions Xyon & Odyssey vs. Ren Ayabe & Talos for the titles

Updates below will begin at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET. The live stream is scheduled to begin just before the event starts.

6:25 PM PT UPDATE: Live updates begin now.

We are LIVE from Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Commentary will start when the matches begin.

The paid attendance will be announced after the event. It’s a regular weekday morning in Japan and advance ticket sales seem to reflect that, probably not going to be a sellout. But it should still be a decent crowd, I’ll guess based on so far it’ll be around 1000. (UPDATE: The announced paid attendance was 1240)

Opening announcements begin just after we go live. Commentary begins after the opening call by the ring announcer. After this, the roster comes out to the ring for the annual new year’s greeting to the crowd. Kento Miyahara led this as the President of the wrestlers’ group. During this, he announced that Shota Kofuji has joined the promotion and he came out. Kofuji had been competing as a freelancer and a member of a smaller independent promotion. That makes two official cat people in the promotion along with Hideki Suzuki, who Kofuji has had some fun Twitter bantering with the last few months. Then Shotaro Ashino interrupted and brought out Go Shiozaki, who actually joined the promotion late last year. But now he gets the official year-opening introduction. After years of being NOAH, he is now All-Japan. (UPDATE: Kofuji will also remain a member of the small OSW promotion in addition to All-Japan. Both moves are official as of yesterday) Kofuji just finished his rookie year on Christmas Day.

One correction to the lineup from the opening video for Match 3-it’s MAZADA but on AJPW’s website incorrectly says it’s “Mazda”.

The matches begin at 6:42 PM PT/9:42 PM ET. Rei Saito is a guest on commentary alongside the solo announcer.

Match 1: All-Japan Pro Wrestling 2026 Opening Match: Go Shiozaki vs. Shota Kofuji. 30 minute time limit
Result: Go Shiozaki beat Shota Kofuji

Match 2: Hideki Suzuki (who went crazy attacking the cameramen around the ring with a towel during his entrance), Kengo Mashimo & Hikaru Sato vs. Hokuto Omori, Kumaarashi & Cyrus. 30 minute time limit
Result: Hokuto Omori, Kumarashi & Cyrus beat Hideki Suzuki, Kengo Mashimo & Hikaru Sato. Kumaarashi pinned Sato.

Match 3: Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising Hayato vs. KURAMA & MAZADA (Independent/Freelancers). 30 minute time limit
Result: Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising Hayato beat KURAMA & MAZADA. Aoyagi pinned KURAMA.

Match 4: Kento Miyahara, Jun Saito, MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka vs. Yuma Anzai, Ryuki Honda, Shotaro Ashino & Dan Tamura. 30 minute time limit
Result: Kento Miyahara, Jun Saito, MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka beat Yuma Anzai, Ryuki Honda, Shotaro Ashino & Dan Tamura. Miyahara pinned Tamura with a shutdown suplex hold.

Intermission.

The matches resume at 7:57 PM PT/10:57 PM PT (about a 12 minute break).

Match 5: Daisuke Sekimoto vs. Ryo Inoue. 30 minute time limit
Result: Daisuke Sekimoto beat Ryo Inoue

Match 6: All-Japan World Tag Team Champions Xyon & Odyssey vs. Ren Ayabe & Talos for the titles. 1 Hour time limit
Result: Ren Ayabe & Talos beat All-Japan World Tag Team Champions Xyon & Odyssey to win the titles. Ayabe & Talos become the 103rd All-Japan World Tag Team Champions. Talos pinned Xyon after a double chokeslam. Afterwards, during the post-match victory promo, Talos called out Miyahara. A mix of Japanese, English and comedy that almost ended with Miyahara getting a double chokeslam. I think the gist of all this is a Triple Crown challenge by Talos.

Promo video for the All-Asia Tag Team Championship fallout from 12/31 when the Dragon Gate duo of Yoshiki Kato & ISHIN won the titles. Of note: New video game background music-in 2025 it was a remix of the theme from “Space Harrier”. 2026? A remix of “Splash Wave” from fellow mid-1980s Sega & Yu Suzuki icon “Outrun”. The video is an announcement of the 2026 All-Japan Jr. Tag Festival Tournament, to be held over 4 events in February & March with 8 participating teams. The participating teams: Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising Hayato, Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato, Naruki Doi & Senor Saito, Fuminori ABe & Seigo Tachibana, Kota Sekifuda & Toshiyuki Sakuda, Seiki Yoshioka & Yuya Susumu, MUSASHI & Shota Kofuji, Ryo Inoue & Mochizuki Junior. It will be a single-elimination bracket tournament. The Quarterfinals are 2/15 & 2/23, Semifinals on 3/15 and Finals on 3/20.

Main Event: New Year Battle Royal. Everyone in at the start. Over the top rope, pinfall and submission eliminations
Result: Yuma Anzai won, last eliminating Shota Kofuji. Mainly a comedy match but a very entertaining one that even saw Ryuki Honda get eliminated by the referee and the referee then get eliminated by Atsuki Aoyagi despite some impressive acrobatics beforehand. Miyahara, you wonder? Second-to-last elimination by Kofuji.

The second event is tomorrow. Live streaming on AJPW.TV will begin at 6:30 PM PT/9:30 PM ET.

News: 2025 PWI Tag Team 100 Announced (SPOILERS!)

The last of what is now a year-end awards trilogy from Pro Wrestling Illustrated came out today, as we go down from 500 (wrestlers) to 250 (women) and now 100 (tag teams). The second PWI Tag Team 100 list was revealed today and features both men’s and women’s teams. Naturally I’ve browsed the list already so below are the top ranked teams and how various Japan-based teams fared.

Because this is only in digital format and the print edition will not be out for another 3 weeks or so, those waiting for the latter should stop here to avoid SPOILERS! Otherwise, click below.

In other news, it was announced that Cyrus would return to the promotion on 12/31 for his first appearance in about a year. Also, announced for 1/3 is All-Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion Atsuki Aoyagi vs. KURAMA for the title. The challenger is a masked wrestler from Mexico who is a freelancer but competes regularly in Michinoku Pro, often teaming with KUUKAI (who recently made some appearances in New Japan). Also, in post-match comments today Ashino & Sekimoto agreed to a GAORA TV Championship match, which has not been officially announced yet. Likewise, MUSASHI hinted at an All-Asia Tag Team Championship match against part of the Dragon Gate trio. (A post on Yoshiki Kato’s social media later suggested it would be Kato & ISHIN) Anzai later stated backstage that if he wins the Triple Crown on 12/31, he wants to first defend against Kikuta, who is the current Open The Dream Gate Champion in Dragon Gate, so some double title potential there. Anzai hit the ring after Miyahara’s match and got a shutdown suplex hold for his efforts.

UPDATE: It’s now official-the above All-Asia Tag Team Championship match will happen on 12/31.

Also, the All-Japan World Tag Team Championship match coming out of the Tag League Finals will happen on 1/2.

Finally, the GAORA TV Championship match of Ashino-Sekimoto will happen on 1/3.

Match 1: Atsuki Aoyagi, Ryo Inoue & Shota Kofuji beat Takashi, Hiroki Murase & Jack Kennedy. Inoue pinned Kennedy after a buzzsaw kick.

Match 2: Jun Saito & Yuma Anzai beat Kento Miyahara & Daveu Boy Smith Jr. Anzai pinned Miyahara with a shutdown suplex hold. Interesting.

Tag League:
Match 3: Block A: Hokuto Omori & Kumaarashi beat Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato. Kumaarashi pinned Tamura.
Match 4: Block B: Xyon & Odyssey beat Ryuki Honda & Naoya Nomura. Xyon pinned Honda after a diving headbutt. As a result, Xyon/Odyssey win Block B with a perfect record and advance to the Finals.
Match 5: Block A: MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka beat Hideki Suzuki & Kengo Mashimo. MUSASHI pinned Suzuki
Main Event: Block A: Ren Ayabe & Talos beat Shotaro Ashino & Go Shiozaki. Ayabe pinned Ashino after Des Roulette. As a result, Ayabe & Talos win Block A and advance to the Finals.
The Finals will be Ayabe/Talos vs. Xyon/Odyssey.

UPDATE: Afterwards, the challenger for the next Triple Crown defense on 12/31 by Miyahara, the date previously announced, was revealed-Anzai.

All-Japan 12/6/25 Results

All-Japan ran the penultimate day of the World’s Strongest/Real World Tag League preliminary round today.

Today’s event was held at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV.

The announced paid attendance was 938.

Match 1: Ren Ayabe, Talos, Yuma Anzai & Shota Kofuji beat Hokuto Omori, Kuamarashi, Ryo Inoue & Seigo Tachibana. Anzai pinned Inoue after Gimlet.

Tag League:
Match 2: Block B: Ryuki Honda & Naoya Nomura beat Takashi & Kuroshio TOKYO Japan. Honda pinned Takashi after a plane throw.
Match 3: Block A: Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato beat MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka. Tamura pinned MUSASHI after a powerbomb.

Match 4: Xyon & Odyssey beat Jun Saito & Naruki Doi (Independent/Freelancer). Xyon pinned Doi after a diving headbutt.

Tag League:
Match 5: Block B: Kento Miyahara & Davey Boy Smith Jr. beat Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising Hayato. Smith pinned Hayato after Bulldog Bomb.
Main Event: Block A: Hideki Suzuki & Kengo Mashimo beat Shotaro Ashino & Go Shiozaki. Suzuki pinned Ashino with a double arm suplex.

Standings:
Block A:
1-Suzuki/Mashimo, 3-1, 6 pts
2-Ayabe/Talos, 3-1, 6 pts
3-Ashino, Shiozaki, 2-1, 6 pts
4-Omori/Kumaarashi, 1-3, 2 pts (OUT)
5-MUSASHI/Yoshioka, 1-3, 2 pts (OUT)
6-Tamura/Sato, 1-3, 2 pts (OUT)

Block B:
1-Xyon/Odyssey, 4-0, 8 pts
2-Miyahara/Smith, 4-1, 8 pts
3-Honda/Nomura, 3-1, 6 pts
4-Atsuki Aoyagi/Hayato, 2-3, 4 pts (OUT)
5-Takashi/Kuroshio, 1-4, 2 pts (OUT)
6-Yuma Aoyagi/Anzai, 0-5, 0 pts (OUT)

Only the winners of each block advance to the Finals. Block A will depend on two of the three remaining matches, specifically Ayabe/Talos-Ashino/Shiozaki. If Ayabe/Talos win, they advance even if Suzuki/Mashimo win because of the tiebreaker. If Ashino/Shiozaki win, they advance if Suzuki/Mashimo lose but if Suzuki/Mashimo win, they are in on tiebreaker and Ashino/Shiozaki are out. If one match ends in a draw, the non-draw team advances with a win. If both matches are draws, we’ll need a 3-way for a tiebreaker. Block B is a bit simpler. If Xyon/Odyssey win or draw against Honda/Nomura, they advance. But if Honda/Nomura win there will probably be a 3-way because nobody will have both tiebreakers.

The next event is tomorrow at Port Messe Nagoya Exhibition Hall 2 in Nagoya. Live streaming on AJPW.TV will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET.

DEVELOPING: Injured Big Name Returning Soon

Some welcome news on the injury front just minutes ago…popular freelancer Daisuke Sekimoto, best known as perhaps the best “pure” wrestler in death match-centric Big Japan but who has been out a while due to a foot injury, is about to return. All-Japan just announced he will return at the promotion’s 12/10 event at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo. Return match/opponent(s) TBA. The only match set for that event so far is the World’s Strongest/Real World Tag League Finals.

All-Japan 11/30/25 Results (Updated)

All-Japan continued the World’s Strongest/Real World Tag League today in Hiroshima.

Today’s event was held at Hiroshima Industrial Hall East Exhibition Hall in Hiroshima and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV. There was no live broadcast but on demand is now available earlier than expected.

The announced paid attendance was 520.

Match 1: Kengo Mashimo beat Shota Kofuji by submission.

Match 2: Jun Saito, Yuma Anzai & Ryo Inoue beat Kento Miyahara, Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Tsuyoshi Okada. Saito pinned Okada after Dying Light. I believe Okada is a local (Hiroshima-based) independent wrestler.

Match 3: Tag League Block B: Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising Hayato beat Takashi & Kuroshio TOKYO Japan. Hayato pinned Kuroshio after a huracanrana.

Match 4: Xyon, Odyssey, Shotaro Ashino & Go Shiozaki beat Hideki Suzuki, Ryuki Honda, Yuko Miyamoto & Seigo Tachibana. Shiozaki pinned Tachibana after Go Lariat.

Match 5: Tag League Block A: Hokuto Omori & Kumaarashi beat MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka. Omori pinned MUSASHI after Narcissist Press.

Main Event: Tag League Block B: Ren Ayabe & Talos beat Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato. Ayabe pinned Tamura after a double chokeslam.

Standings:
Block A:
1-Ashino/Shiozaki, 3-0, 6 pts
2-Ayabe/Talos, 3-1, 6 pts
3-Suzuki/Mashimo, 2-1, 4 pts
4-MUSASHI/Yoshioka, 1-2, 2 pts (OUT)
5-Omori/Kumaarashi, 1-3, 2 pts (OUT)
6-Tamura/Sato, 0-3, 0 pts (OUT)

Block B:
1-Xyon/Odyssey, 4-0, 8 pts
2-Miyahara/Smith, 3-1, 6 pts (OUT)
3-Honda/Naoya Nomura, 2-1, 4 pts
4-Atsuki Aoyagi/Hayato, 2-2, 4 pts (OUT)
5-Kutoshio/Takashi, 1-3, 2 pts (OUIT)
6-Yuma Aoyagi/Yuma Anzai, 0-5, 0 pts (OUT)
Only the winners of each block advance to the Finals. While Block A likely will come down to the Ayabe/Talos-Ashino/Shiozaki winner, Suzuki/Mashimo still have a chance to steal it should that match be a draw and if they follow up by beating Ashino/Shiozaki. MUSASHI/Yoshioka are pretty much out of it because although they beat Ayabe/Talos they did lose to Ashino/Shiozaki. Block B is Xyon/Odyssey’s to lose, they advance with a win or draw against Honda/Nomura or if Honda/Nomura lose their next match against Kuroshio/Takashi (the latter match happens first). Miyahara/Smith are out because they lose the tiebreaker. Honda/Nomura must beat Xyon/Odyssey and Kuroshio/Takashi and Miyahara/Smith must lose or draw in their last match to advance, that would give them tiebreakers.

The next event is Saturday at Osaka Prefectural Gym 2 in Osaka. Broadcast plans TBA.

UPDATE: For Saturday, live streaming on AJPW.TV will begin at midnight PT/3 AM ET. All December and January events will be streamed live.

All-Japan 11/28/25 & 11/29/25 Results

All-Japan continued the World’s Strongest/Real World Tag League yesterday & today with 2 events. (I missed posting yesterday’s results due to unforeseen circumstances beyond my control), trying to move on from major outside-the-ring news regarding the suspension of Yuma Aoyagi after a traffic accident last weekend.

Yesterday’s event was held at Kumamoto Food Exchange Hall in Kumamoto and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV.

The announced paid attendance was 378.

Match 2: Yuko Miyamoto beat Shota Kofuji by submission.

Match 3: Tag League Block A: Hideki Suzuki & Kengo Mashimo beat Dan Tamura & Hikaru Sato. Suzuki pinned Tamura after a front kick.

Match 4: Jun Saito & Yuma Anzai beat Kento Miyahara & Ryo Inoue. Saito pinned Inoue after Psycho Break.

Match 5: Tag League Block B: Ryuki Honda & Naoya Nomura beat Atsuki Aoyagi & Rising Hayato. Honda pinned Hayato after Final Vent.

Main Event: Tag League Block A: Shotaro Ashino & Go Shiozaki beat MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka. Shiozaki pinned Yoshioka after Go Lariat.

Today’s event was held at Fukuoka Island City Forum in Fukuoka and can be watched on demand on AJPW.TV (this was a live broadcast).

The announced paid attendance was 632.

Match 1: Go Shiozaki beat Shota Kofuji by submission.

Match 2: Atsuki Aoyagi, Rising Hayato & Dan Tamura beat Yuko Miyamoto, Takashi & Rey Paloma. Tamura pinned Paloma.

Match 3: Tag League Block A: Hideki Suzuki & Kengo Mashimo beat Hokuto Omori & Kumaarashi. Suzuki pinned Omori with European Clutch.

Match 4: Shotaro Ashino, Jun Saito & Yuma Anzai beat Ryuki Honda, Naoya Nomura & Ryo Inoue. Saito pinned Inoue after a jackhammer.

Match 5: Tag League Block A: MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka beat Ren Ayabe & Talos by countout. Talos counted out.

Main Event: Xyon & Odyssey beat Kento Miyahara & Davey Boy Smith Jr. Xyon pinned Smith after a diving headbutt.

Standings:
Block A:
1-Ashino/Shiozaki, 3-0, 6 pts
2-Suzuki/Mashimo, 2-1, 4 pts
3-Ayabe/Talos, 2-1, 4 pts
4-MUSASHI/Yoshioka, 1-1, 2 pts
5-Tamura/Sato, 0-2, 0 pts (OUT)
6-Omori/Kumaarashi, 0-3, 0 pts (OUT)

Block B:
1-Xyon/Odyssey, 4-0, 8 pts
2-Miyahara/Smith, 3-1, 6 pts (OUT)
3-Honda/Nomura, 2-1, 4 pts
4-Atsuki Aoyagi/Hayato, 1-2, 2 pts (OUT)
5-Kuroshio/Tachibana, 1-2, 2 pts (OUT)
6-Yuma Aoyagi/Anzai, 0-5, 0 pts (OUT) (forfeited due to Aoyagi suspension)
The winners of each block advance to the Finals. Block A is still up for grabs but Ashino/Shiozaki are in control. Omori/Kumaarashi are already eliminated and Tamura/Sato are now out due to tiebreakers. Block B is officially down to two because of tiebreakers, the only team Xyon/Odyssey hasn’t faced yet is Honda/Nomura, which is why they are the only team still with a chance despite only 4 points. But if they lose or draw their next match (Kuroshio?Tachibana), it’s a moot point as they would be eliminated and Xyon/Odyssey will win the block.

The next event is tomorrow (tonight US time) at Hiroshima Industrial Hall East Exhibition Hall in Hiroshima. There will be no live broadcast. On demand scheduled for tomorrow at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET.

BREAKING: All-Japan Star Suspended After Traffic Incident (Updated x2)

BREAKING from All-Japan: After a vehicle accident which occurred Sunday in Numazu CIty, Shizuoka Prefecture, and an initial investigation, All-Japan announced Yuma Aoyagi has been SUSPENDED 3 MONTHS and given a 50% salary reduction for 3 months. Aoyagi was not injured but the driver of the other vehicle may have suffered leg injuries and it was also revealed Aoyagi was driving with an expired driver’s license.

According to All-Japan’s report, Aoyagi was driving home from that day’s event and apparently ran a red light at an intersection, striking the vehicle that had the green light on the right side, which in Japan is the driver’s side. Aoyagi stayed at the scene and immediately called police, who came out to investigate and interview him.

In addition to apologizing, All-Japan announced they will implement safe driving initiative throughout the organization. This is the second such incident the promotion has dealt with this year, the first earlier this year sadly resulted in the tragic death of rookie Taishin Nagao.

As for upcoming events, this means Yuma Aoyagi and Yuma Anzai are now out of the World’s Strongest/Real World Tag League and will forfeit all remaining matches. Replacements have been announced for those 5 events. Aoyagi will be able to return on 2/28/26.

More as it becomes available.

UPDATE: Social media reactions…
On Twitter (or whatever you call it now), Yuma Aoyagi has reposted All-Japan’s original post several times with apologies to the promotion, the victim and the fans for what happened He also apologized to Yuma Anzai, who he invited to be his partner in the Tag League. The only other wrestler I’ve seen comment so far is Hideki Suzuki, who reposted one of Aoyagi’s posts with the loosely translated message “reflect on yourself”. Kento Miyahara, who is also President of the promotion’s wrestlers group, apologized to the fans for Aoyagi & Anzai being out of the tournament now. Anzai reposted a separate All-Japan post with a brief apology to fans & supporters for being out of the tournament, although not his fault, and is still processing his thoughts.
Rising Hayato also commented on his social media apologizing for what happened and vowing to devote himself to making the promotion a place where Aoyagi can return to, despite it being considered wrong to make place for “a criminal” based on translation.
Aoyagi may face further punishment after the police investigation concludes, which may include administrative or criminal charges due to driving with an expired license for almost a year. Based on translation of a Tokyo Sports report, All-Japan reportedly has been trying to get more wrestlers to use their buses for transport and improve their safety & reliability despite one of their buses being involved in the accident that killed Nagao earlier this year (the incident happened in May, Nagao died in September). They also reportedly apologized to Nagao’s father today as well.

UPDATE 2: The fallout continues…
At about 7:30 PM PT/10:30 PM ET (12:30 PM Saturday Japan time) Atsuki Aoyagi, Yuma Aoyagi’s real-life brother, commented and apologized for the incident. Fellow wrestler/combat sports veteran Hideki Sekine also made several Teitter posts and also linked to the Shizuoka Prefecture Police website, suggesting there could be circumstances affecting potential punishment/next steps, which appeared to be more an attempt to educate commenters on the situation and what could happen next.

The promotion also just announced that a scheduled photobook to feature both Aoyagi brothers and others, which was to be released on Monday, has been postponed indefinitely.
